Got receipt for Streets and Trips with GPS
Worked things out with the bank.
Ordered Miki a new cell phone.
Printed receipt for laptop
Printed quote on phone charger
Printed quote on getting new Birth Certificates

Found things that thought to be in laptop bag:
- Street map of NYC I use on EVERY trip to NYC.. swore it was in the bag.
- DVD from Ohio trip doing the dubbing with Michael.

How these two are here instead of in their spot in the bag, I don't know but am happy to see.  Hope to find more that was suppose to be in the bag... really hoping to find my Next Mutation Script.  I will keep searching for items and receipts.

More in the works, but won't go into too much detail here.

Hey there's a few things that we could use some help with.

One we need to find a Leather Cowboy Bebop Wallet, for pricing and a chance to replace Miki's wallet. 

Two I would love it if people can keep an eye out for my Next Mutation Script, it's show two "East Meets West" and personalized autographed to me.  If the person tries to sell it, please do let me know.

this hasn't gottan any easier, as I still been breaking down and now I'm finding myself getting sick even with fevers not sure if it's because of this, but I wouldn't be surprised.  I'm not really resting, I'm more stressed than I've ever been and more and more I realize missing things.

Something lost that I can not replace is a lot of pictures on that laptop.... and I know I won't know every picture lost off of the top of my head but I just realized about 200 pictures that are gone... I thought I put them in photobucket from April this year... my NECA toys in Gettysburg... all of them... all 200+ pictures are gone... I searched my photobucket accounts and they're no where to be found.   

Just another time where I was hit emotionally by this...   I know... they're just photos... but they meant something to me.  I loved the pics we took that day.  My sister got some with her camera she's going to give me copies of... but... I know I got some shots that she didn't, which I really liked.   I'll never see these pictures again

This ordeal of yours sadly has reminded me to back up my photos.

Insurance has got in touch with us today.

They're replacing a handful of stuff that was stolen.  I'll update as things come in the mail    There should be news soon about my laptop...I really miss my laptop.

Hiya,

Things have been coming in the mail since Thursday believe it or not.  We've got both I-Trips (my sister and mine), She got her IPOD and case.  Her IPOD was upgraded from 30 gig to 80 gig.  She also got the battery and memory card for her camera.

I really hope my laptop comes soon.  I'll love to get it before my surgery since that week I'll be staying down in the living room, and I'd like to be on my own computer instead of my mom's.  (Though it's awesome that my mom let's me use her's, like I am right now.)

GPS came in the mail today.

I can't believe this....

Waiting and waiting... watching so much come in... but when it came down to it... our main items are not here yet, along with one small item.....    my laptop...  my sister's camera and the memory card reader.

So I got a hold of the insurance company yesterday and found out

1- The lady in charge of my case ordered my laptop, but the replacement department didn't.
2- The camera was ordered, but the company didn't contact to let the replacement department know they didn't have any in.

We had to wait till today...

17-in-1 card reader should be in the mail any day now... as they switched where they were getting it from.
Camera has a 3 day delivery and should be here in 3 days...

Laptop... the thing I'm waiting the most for, the thing I would stay home and stare off at any UPS truck for... the thing that I miss the most... the thing that hurts inside that I no longer have....    well you get the picture.. my laptop was my baby and I miss it more than I can really express.  I loved my laptop.  It was my pride and joy.   It meant so much to me, that I still break down in tears about it being gone....

They said it won't be here till August 25th *crushed*   After CN con even.    I have to wait another two weeks?!  Just thinking that makes me feel like dirt inside.  I really really really want my laptop back.

The best way to prevent this from happening in the future.....

- Bring ONLY what is needed to a convention.    One Camcorder, one laptop, one Camera.  And a select choice of 'too sign' goodies.

That way everything that is important can fit in the hotel room itself.  If you don't need it, don't bring it .
I brought my camcorder into the bathroom with me at the last con because I hated leaving it on the bathroom sink stall ..

Ok,

Let's go into this situation a little deeper....

- When I have a hotel stuff like laptops and such is left in the room when I don't need them, like going to the convention.
- On this trip my hotel was my car, Sleeping in it every night, some of our stuff would stay in Crittle's house during that week to keep it safe.
- The day we were robbed was after we packed the car to go from Maryland to New York, so some of the stuff in the car was in it for the travel reasons.

It's not like we had a place for the stuff, and I don't blame any convention for this cause nothing bad happened at the conventions I've gone too... at the most I lost a tripod once.  But my problem boils down to being in mid travel and when you're going into the woods where you know there is down trees you have to go over and under (which I knew cause I was in these woods before) you don't bring a laptop.

You know I travel a lot and that I have some back ground in safety of my stuff, or I wouldn't be doing as many trips with the stuff I do.  I don't agree with only bringing one of each item, esp if you got more people in the car.  My sister and I both had a laptop, one was stolen, one was not... so thanks to bringing two we were able to still have a computer to put a map on, to check the internet on, and so on.  I miss mine like ya wouldn't believe, but I was thankful for a second one in the car.   My sister lost her cameras, I still had mine so we could still get pictures on the trip.

In stead to prevent this I'm going with tracking devices.  I'm got a few websites I'm looking at, I'm putting a tracking device in my laptop, mp3 player, cameras, and more.
