Hey everyone,

Decided to get this topic started.  I only went for one day and don't have much personally to report.  Though I'll try and get around to this today or tomorrow.

We got here early, stood in line outside, they sent us inside to buy our tickets... stand in that line, buy our tickets than get sent back out to get in the line that we were once near the front of, but only to be down the block and around the corner.  Stood there, talked with a guy till they let us in.  Best thing about line was seeing Captain Z from Big Apple Con handing out flyers for that con and he knew who I was, so we said hi real fast.

Went in, found the Four Horsemen right away, than searched for Kevin Nash.  Found his table, he wasn't there yet.  We walked around the con for a bit, Miki found her friend who is an artist, Primo... talked with him, he let us leave some things at his table (like my computer bag (how do I miss it...  Crying/Very Sad )  After that we went back to the front, found Kevin Nash, he signed a handful of things for me ($10/each), I had money set aside for this, though sadly not enough to get a picture taken with him as well.  So I got the Shirt signed, TMNT II DVD cover, TMNT II sticker album, TMNT II magazine, TMNT II trading card, and two TMNT II premiere passes from the Detroit area (two different ones I went to).

He talked a little, but half the stuff he said didn't seem right.  They said they molded him for the costume in a bathtub at a hotel he was at... ok, I'll take that... but than he said he was on the set of TMNT II for 60 days, when only filming for 9 days.. that I'm not so sure about, I mean... I've learned a lot about movies and such, they don't want to keep people around on the set unless they're needed.  The less people there, the easier it is on the director and keeping things in order..  I may confirm this with some others I know who worked on the movie.  But what got me the most, was when he tried to tell me his Super Shredder costume weighed more than the Turtle costumes...  he said his cape alone weighted 200 lbs... I don't believe that... of foam letex.  I know a lot about foam, and they wouldn't weight that much.  The TMNT costumes had 40 lbs plastic shells, along with the 30 lbs heads of electronic stuff.  Super Shredder was just a costume.  I asked to do an interview with him, he agreed to after the con... which got me stuck sitting around for the full day there at the con.

I went to the Four Horsemen booth and asked if NECA was there.. because they were listed, he told me they don't have a booth but a panel was just starting with NECA on how to build toys... so Miki and I ran off to the panel... we sat down and watched.  Afterwards we got to talk to Randy and Nicole before they went down stairs to look at people's profiles.  I mentioned Buslady's toy problem, and showed them a few of my own problems with the toys I got.  They told me to contact NECA and it should be taken care of.  Though only one person is handling that area, and he also handles a lot of the other areas for NECA a very busy guy, name Sam.  I met Sam at NYC Comic Con and he's a great guy.  So things may be slow about getting to everyone, since he's alone in that.

We parted ways... Miki wanted to stick around for the next panel, I went back into the dealer room and sat against a wall and just breathed for a bit.  A press guy sat down near me, and talked for a bit.  He was upset because he was called in to take photos of the guest for write up for magazines... and the guest were not letting him take photos of them.  They were telling him to pay them.  Though he's never been treated like that before and he does red carpet events.  This is sad, when the guest are so into getting the money that people can't even do their jobs.  I talked with this guy for a bit, before he got up and went on his way.

I than got up and went over and talked with the Four Horsemen a bit more, than talked back with Kevin... than walked around... I was bored... I didn't want to be there anymore... though something did come up a panel with the Four Horsemen... though I was disappointed when not one mention of TMNT came up in the panel.  It was mainly about DC toys they're doing like Batman.   They did a raffle at the end of the panel, the coolest thing they gave away was an Evil Lyn portal type of a toy they made.  I so wanted to win that, it looked so cool.

After that panel I spent more time waiting for the con to end, I wrote up questions for Kevin to answer.  I set up the tripod, got everything ready the con ended.  Though when it came down to it, he blew me off about the interview and said he'll do it through email and send me an email.  So far no sign of the email.

So I felt I wasted most of the day waiting for him, when I wanted to check out Philly before leaving.  Miki and I walked the streets of Philly, but it was late and everything was already closed.

It was nice meeting Kevin Nash, though I don't see myself going out of the way to meet him again.
