I didn't take any photos! LOL I was there for maybe 2 hours and left LOL.

Mom and I got to Charlotte around 10:00am. Took me forever to find a parking lot that was NOT full! The line was not long either. As I was passing the vending machines after getting our arm bands for the day to get in line, I saw Jim and Michael. I had emailed Dan earlier this week to ask if they were going to be there for sure. Jim was like "OMG you're here!"

We stood in line for maybe 30 minutes till finally the line was moving. I spent the time in line texting my friend Becky LOL

Once inside, I made a bee line to the Mirage guys. They were all happy to see me. They told me they didn't expect anyone they knew to be at this con so they kept asking me where I lived and how long it took me to get there LOL. It's like a 3 hour drive but with my driving I got down there around 2 and a half LOL. I first said hi to Peter, then Dan, then Jim, Michael and Eric. I brought $200 with me to the con to spend and I spent $150 at JUST their table LOL. I bought one print from Eric. He was sketching out a Donatello but sadly I couldn't get it Sad/Down I was only there till Friday and I had no way to get it from him and I didn't want to rush him LOL. I then bought 2 prints from Jim. I was torn between a sketch or a comic page because it was the one from one of the newer Tales with Don with a baseball cap on LOL. Instead I got to 2 pencil sketches. Jim said he would color them for me and I told him that it was ok because I wasn't here for the whole weekend. He seemed kind of sad about it LOL. I spent $60 on one picture of all 4 guys drawn by Michael. Mom goes "You're going to spend that?" She honestly had NO clue what I would do when I went there LOL. I bought 2 pictures from Peter. He and Dan signed them for me LOL.

After leaving their booth, I went around trying to find one of the comics for Becky. She was looking for Volumel. 1 #42 which I have but I can't part with LOL Nobody had that one! Some vendors had some TMNT comics but not that one LOL. I found some cool Death Note stuff too but I was holding out.

Some of my biggest finds were not TMNT related LOL

I got a disc that had ALL the Nintendo games on there that can run on my computer!! *squeas* I tried it out when I got home and YES it does work!!!  XD!!

I also found the original Indiana Jones soundtracks for like $20 a piece!!! (Yes, mom had to help out with money because I ran out XD) These are a good find because like on ebay they are like over $100! I also got a nice Indiana Jones photo (the original movie not the new one Razz) I also got a DVD that has ALL the Mortal Kombat Conquest episodes on it!!! *dies*

Afterwards, I went by to tell the Mirage guys that I was leaving. I was dead broke and then some LOL Mom and I headed home and that was it!!

 Love

I've gone to Heroes Con almost every year for the past 10 years, it was a little lackluster this year as far as vendors go, but the guests they had made up for it somewhat.  The biggest part of it for me, obviously, was meeting Peter Laird and finally getting to personally hand him some artwork of the Turtles I did.  The Mirage booth also had the limited edition prints of the Turtles and Splinter, penciled by Peter himself.  It was a very very cool experience.  It was also very cool getting to meet Mike Dooney, as most of you know, he has done a lot of work for the TMNT comics including the Archie comic series.  Here is a photo I had taken of Peter and myself.

Sounds like the Mirage booth was great for those who got to go!  It always seems to be.

Wish I could of made it this year, you know for a second I thought it was a week early and was really debating on going, until I realized it was this weekend (I couldn't stay east an extra week).

Thanks for sharing the pic!!!

Yeah the Mirage booth was great, all the different artists displaying and selling their works, it was quite awesome especially, considering there wasn't much TMNT memorabilia (toys/comics/etc.) anywhere in the Con.  I did however find an Usagi Yojimbo 8" figure that I had been looking for, it's pretty freakin' awesome and it's a character that has a connection to the Turtles.  I did of course pick up the portfolio of Peter Laird prints as mentioned before.  So all in all, the Mirage booth alone made Heroes Con enjoyable for me.
