[Discussion] Your thoughts on voices for TMNT 5?

I wouldn't mind if the fab 4 from TMNT movie 4 reprise their roles as their characters in number 5. Is that what you're hoping for? Have another voice in mind? What about Casey, April, and any other characters that might show up? Villains?

I'm hoping that Tatsu shows up.  That would be sweet.

Though really for me, I hope they focus a little more on Don in the next movie... and not with techy stuff.  I'd like to see a story with him that doesn't focus on his gadgets and computers.  Donatello is a smart Turtle with more than just machines.

I would love to see a movie which reasable the first one.

Bring back Tatsu, Casey Jones, and especially the Shredder. I cool new add-on they could bring in is Karai, which would be cool to have a battle 4 vs 2 ( Shredder & Karai ) teaming up!

I don't know about bringing back Shredder, though I do agree it'd be nice to have a tone close to the original movie.   I really do want to see Tatsu back in the movies, he was a big part of it.

I find if we would stick to basics, like bringing Shredder back, or even just hinting in parts of the movie that he'll be coming in the future, would be enough to throw TMNT fans off the hook!

Definetly.

I find if there was a hint of Shredder or Tatsu in the next movie, it will attract alot of older TMNT fans, and introduce it to the new era ( of kids who just started to watch TMNT ( 2007) ).

Going back to them could bring a new/old story to the franchise. A shocking one to us fans, and a new story for the new ones! Just my two cents.

In the second movie, when Shredder fell Tatsu was going to take over as the leader, which is what would happen if Shredder is not to come back.

When Eastman and Laird created the Turtles, they did not make Shredder thinking "arch villain for the rest of the stories"  but 'oh what could we have them fight and kill?'   In Mirage Issue 1, the Turtles don't just fight Shredder they kill him.  The only thing that came back was a clone and they killed that as well.   So it was never Eastman and Laird's idea for Shredder to be in every media all the time.

So yes, I can go through the movie without Shredder just like we have for the last two movies to come out.  But if the foot is to come back, at least they can keep some sort of thing that we all know is part of it.  Tatsu.  True he was a right hand man, he was right there for Shredder and if anything as a new leader he would be working to make the Foot stronger, than go after the revenge. 

In the second movie when Shredder came back, Tatsu was all up for rebuilding the Foot, as Shredder line was "There's only one thing next, Revenge"... he was so focus on revenge and Tatsu being 100% loyal to him followed his every word, even though Tatsu was right on what should of been next.  I would personally enjoy to see where he would take the Foot as the new leader.  Though now with the 4th movie we also have Karai in the picture.  It'd be interesting to see if a writer can really mix the two.

I totally agree.

After reading your response, I found that maybe keeping the Shredder out ( but just keeping a small hint that he's still out there as their leader ), Karai and Tatsu ( with the foot of course ) would make an incredible team and storyline.

If all goes well after that story line, then they could maybe integrate the Shredder again!

Wow...it's been a while since I posted here but it won't be often since I have no computer but never mind that, here's my thing about the TMNT4 voice actors reprising their roles:

GET A NEW APRIL!  Sorry, I REALLY REALLY REALLY DI NOT like Sarah Michelle Gellar as April O'Neil (Can you tell that I didn't like her?   ) .  I actually tried to give her many fair chances at the part of April but sorry, she didn't scream April to me.  She sounded like a Teenaged version of April, maybe even too...."April the Vampire Slayer"-ish....But that's just me. 

As for the others, I think I liked everyone else who worked on the movie.

Have to agree with that. I didn't like Pat Stewart on there either, but I don't think we have to worry about him making a return.  I like lesser known actors portraying well-known characters, having well known celebrities do stuff like that makes it rather 'ugh' for me.


Edit: Nothing against Pat personally, he's one of my favorites.  I could care less about SMG in general though.

I've always been okay with new villains and characters. People seem to have the same complaint about TMNT 4 was that the villain and its story was pretty weak.

I guess I would rather have a direct to dvd/video animated or even live action story that takes the time to go into a lot of detail than a 1 1/2 hr. movie that has to cram and rush everything.
