Anime Vegas October 28th, 29th, & 30th

Hi all!

Here's an update on the next BIG event coming up.  Anime Vegas taking place at  

Cashman Center
850 Las Vegas Blvd. North
Las Vegas, NV 89101
(Parking is $3.00 a day, with no in and out privledges.)

This is a BIG event for both ANIME fans and TMNT fans!   For the voice acting list is HUGE and really a treat to the eyes.  Here's the list of TMNT voice actors going to be there... than I'll list some other anime voice actors that I know I'm excited about meeting!

I'm planning on going to this event.   And I would be honored to share my room with friends.

Right now I'm hoping I have at least five people in the room that I know of, though a few of them are not sure if they're going or not.   If you're planning to go on this trip please post here and let us know.  If you want to go and need tips on finding a cheaper way to go on the trip, also post here.  We'll be more than willing to help with everyone.

Please arrange ALL hotel agreements and split of cost with people through PMs/Emails/IMs   you don't need the public knowing the spending amounts and such on the board.  So if you have a question about shareing hotels, and see someone offering either PM them or reply here and they'll PM you.

I'd like to hold a TMNT gathering of fans, and try to do a big photo shoot like we did at Anime Next this last June.   A good way of keeping in touch is getting to know who's staying where and so on.  So once I find out which hotel I'm going to stay I'll let you all know.   I will also make sure it's ok with the people who are staying in my room if I can list them in that post as well, so people know where to find their friends.

Ok people here's the information on my hotel as of now.  

I'm looking at staying at....

Best Western Parkview Inn, Las Vegas  which is right near the convention center.   I'm hoping to at LEAST have 5 people in the hotel room.  With 5 people it'll be $55 per a person.  Hotel room is going to be had for Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night.

If anyone else decides to join us bringing us up to Seven people, we may get two connecting rooms instead of trying to sqeeze everyone into one room.  Two connecting rooms would be GREAT for the party!

Anyone wanting in on this to make it cheaper (and so we can get connecting rooms) please do PM me.  I will edit this message anytime it changes and let people know if it just gets too crowded.

Saturday Night Pizza Party!

Ok... the talks have started and I've already started to invite people to this party.  So here's the news on the party.  Please if you want to come to the party and I'll add you to the list here of people already planning to come to the party.

First:  What we want to see at the party.....

TMNT on TV (going to try and get a DVD player, see if the hotel rents them).
People being able to talk, draw and relax.  (If guest show up, PLEASE do not ask for autographs or treat them different... they're here for the party and for a relaxing evening).
Party food and drinks (I'll have more about this down below.)

Second:  Help needed

Food:
Pizza  (We're asking for people to help pitch in for paying for pizza.  We will not be doing 10 pizzas like we did at Anime Next, though we're going to need at least three and help from the people coming is always good.

Drinks  (We ask that people help by bringing pop/soda, two liters or 12 packs so there's enough for everyone)

DVD Player/TV combo type thing  The Best Western does not rent out DVD players and most likey their TVs can't hook up a DVD player to it.  So any help here is welcomed.

I am so glad you guys invited me to this, I never even knew of it or considered it! As soon as I determine how much a plane ticket will be for me and if I can afford it, I'll let you know if I can come or not. Maybe I can get my mom or dad to help pitch in...here's hoping I can come! If I can, I'll be sure to help out with paying for snacks for the pizza party. *starts saving money now heh* THANKS YOU GUYS! I'll let you know asap what's up!

Aww man... I hate you guys.  I really do.  Why couldn't cons this cool happen LAST year, when I wasn't booked up to here with real life matters?  ;p  (just playing wit ya)

But yeah... would be coming back from a long trip to Korea, so my money would be nonexistant.  Plus.. I'm going to be like... four and a half months pregnant, and would need to eat more to keep up my nutrition.  Don't want to imagine how much plane tickets cost....  That aside, I promised hubby I would not go to any more cons.  So... he would throw me in a room and lock me there if I even did had the slightest hint I wanted to go.  Sorry... but it's just not going to work.  


Have a great time over there anyway, and be sure to take lots of pix and video!

I just called the Best Western and they don't rent DVD players and said their TVs most likey don't have the hook ups for a DVD player to be hooked up too.  So I added something else in the NEEDED about things for the Saturday night party.  Anyone who can help out here would be great.  I'll update the Volunteer part if anyone steps forward to help.

*Grins to Fae... recalling the small DVD player Fae had at Toronto Con*   Tis a bit small... though... Fae... if we need help here and no one can get something bigger... ?

Another event I must miss, and I want to meet people so badly, especially Mike S. I wish I could go out to this stuff. However, it's given the fact this time around that I've already made plans a long time ago to meet/visit a fellow Leonardo fan in SC two weeks prior to the Con. I can't take off so many days in a row at work, and I only have a limited budget.  

*sighs* There's always next year, I suppose.

I'm sorry you can't make it to this event LM    I wish there was something I could to help everyone who can't make it, though I'm barely skimming this myself.  

I do hope that you have a TON of fun meeting up with this other Leonardo fan!  Is it anyone I know online?     I'm not sure how I'm doing any of the events I'm doing with no income... it's all comes down to me pushing myself too hard to try and do these events.  

My biggest worry with this event is the planet tickets... I know I'll be able to save $180 to have it paid off by the weekend of the convention... but I fear if I don't book them now that I won't get that price.. so I think that's the only thing that I'm having problems with for Anime Vegas.  *grumbles at the lack of money around here  than growls at the evil arm for not healing yet*.

Alright party animals! Time to get the show going! Well going as soon as we get there that is! I'll bring my portable DVD player again, yeah the screen is small but it's better then nothing. Besides, we should be so socializing and talking not just sitting around staring at the small screen.... We'd have to all be really cuddly to see it, and i'm a cuddle, hug bug bit i don't know if everyone else who is coming feels the same!

Anywho's i'm really excited about seeing everyone i know again and i'm really excited about meeting the new people! Warning, i love hugs! So if i threaten to huggle you it's normal!
