Cute pet names

No, I don't mean like calling your boyfriend "Snuggly wuggly puddin' face" or something, I mean names for your pet.

A friend of mine entered a pic of her dogs in a 'cute animal' contest, and asked me to vote for them. I went to the page and scrolled through the pics. Saw the pic of the dogs and continued through the page. Near the bottom, there was a picture of two guinea pigs - one named Splinter and one named Yoshi.

Hmm...you think someone may have been a TMNT fan?

lol sounds like it, our Guinea Pigs were named after Muppet characters when I was a kid   We had Piggy, Kermit and Animal  *G*

We once had two cats, while I was growing up. One named BA and one named Murdoch. And yes, they fit their names

BA & Murdock?  No Face?? Neither of them were con artists, huh?

Piggy, Kermit & Animal?   Were any of them like their namesakes?   

Hmm...trying to recall our guinea pigs... Maximillion, Mischief (supposedly two males - Mischief got into some mischief, however, resulting in...), Lil Imo (named after one of the ships that blew up in Halifax Harbour in 1917-killing 2000), D'Artagnan, Grover, Grover II, Rascal.  I tried to name our black cat (Panther) after Doomsday, from a tv show, but I was outvoted.  My current Bomgorf is named after Sylvester.

A friend named a pair of cats Coke & Caine.

Well heh Kermit and Piggy were both female.  Piggy was the boss of the two of them.  Animal was the only male in the group... and he'd do anything and everything in his power to get to those girls.  Let's say we had a few babies in our time.

We've had fun with rats' names...George, Hentai, Cracker (...'cause he was a black rat), Saki...and our two current girls - Nancy and Tanya. Anyone who followed figure skating news years ago now should understand the humor behind our girls' names.

Our cats are Ajax and Cleo. Cleo just looks like a Cleo...Ajax is named thusly because he's a completely black cat, and when we got him as a kitten, every time he'd come out of the litter box, he'd have litter-dust on his nose. It looked like he was sniffing ajax...hense, the name. 

I grew up with a cat named Ollie...named after Mahamed Ali, as that cat would regularly attack, then ride our dogs. Not little toy dogs, either...one was a medium-sized mutt and the other was a Chesepeke Bay Retriever who weighed up near 100 lbs. *G*

Oh yeah...and the parakeets, also from when we were growing up...Peepsie and Poopsie. Despite their names, they were both equally messy. I believe those were actually names from my mom's childhood birds, though..

When I was a kid in Italy there was a cartoon show where the main girl's character was Candy. And yes looking back I'm even more sure that it was an anime.

Anyways that was where I got the name for my first dog, Candy. And man she was a hyper thing. She had wolf blood in her though and she ended up having to be put to sleep after a few years 

My most current dog, who is at my grandparents house is named Hannibal. I didn't want another usual pet name so a friend of mine suggested it. I loved it! Little terror dog. He's part pekinese and part pom. Pictures of him are in the pets topic.. I'll have to get the link later. :p

My dog's name is Penny, named after a previous dog that my dad had named (and lost! grr..) Anyways, our ferret's name is Noodle. The poor critter was nameless forever because we couldn't decide on anything until one day I was driving home from work and thought "I want chicken noodle soup!" I entered the house and immediately said, "hey! His name is Noodle." LOL

I want to get another ferret and name it "Chicken"
