"Chiller Drive-In" to be Nationally Syndicated"

Mac Kelly, better known as local horror movie buff Wolfman Mac, makes his national syndication debut at 10 p.m. Saturday on the Retro Television Network (RTV).
"Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In," which has been running since March 2008 on Detroit's WMYD-TV (Channel 20), will now be seen regularly on the cable station, which broadcasts vintage television shows to almost 80 million households in the United States.
Kelly says the nationally syndicated show will offer "the same campy, cheesy fun for the whole family" Clemens resident dons werewolf makeup while hosting comedy bits between segments of classic and not-so-classic horror films.
Exposure on RTV means increased ad revenue, better production values and a chance to obtain movies from the Universal and Warner Bros. studio vaults. Until now, Kelly has been limited to copyright-free movies in the public domain (such as Saturday's offering, "Gammera the Invincible")
He says the first 11 weeks on RTV will feature reruns of episodes already boradcast in Detroit as he works on new material for early next year. Kelly says he has no plans to move the show's production out of the Detroit area, which he calls the Halloween capital of the world.
