I got the call today and here's the update everyone is waiting for.
Surgury is August 1st, he wants to start it at 7:30am so they want me there around 6am for prepping me and all. I'm surprised it's this soon, but they said someone canceled out so they gave the spot to me.... YAY!
I got my first Doctor appointment on Monday at 10:30am. Than the Surgery is Friday, than a follow up appointment on Monday after that.
Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Thanks! I'll let you all know how it goes as we find out. I'm nervous but excited at the same time right now. I've been waiting for this surgery for a long time.

One more step to do before the surgery, a blood test tomorrow morning. This is the last thing that'll say if my surgery is 100% sure for Friday.
I really hope that it clears!!!!!

They told me, but I didn't really understand from what I know something was off that wasn't off when they last tested me... so that's why they want to try again tomorrow.

Man I'm so nervous, this morning I woke up at 5:30am in pain! That's right pain! I didn't know what it was, it was my right side... thought gas... though this hurt very bad for a long time!!!! And at 7:30am I had my blood test!!!!!!! So I was in pain while having blood drawn... this can't be good.
So yeah... right now I'm so nervous, I'm waiting for the blood test results.
When I got home I took a vicodin and went to bed, and I do feel better now. Just had a really bad morning.

The blood test came back bad....
The blood is clouded, they got names for what is wrong but I can't say them let alone spell them... starts with a p I know that.... I have to see another doctor, which isn't covered by worker comp to find out what's going on with that so it can be taken care of, so that I can get my surgery...
According to the doc if they try to do the surgery while my blood is like this, it could paralyze me... so there's no chance of the surgery being attempted till this is fixed.

Oh, Mike, I'm so sorry that the surgery isn't happening.
When do you go to the other doctor?

We have to make an appointment on Monday when the papers is sent to this other doctor, so I won't know that till than. Fugitoid just helped me, he said a word guessing as to what was wrong and that's the word the lady was saying so now I have some clue what it is... My Platelets is low. Still not sure the cause or what they can do to help this. Man today really is bad, I feel like curling up and hiding somewhere... I'm so sick

Platelets! Oh hon, I'm sorry to hear. If your platelets are low it makes it really difficult for you to ward of serious diseases that infect the blood. During chemo platelets are killed off just like the rest of any fast growing cell in your body, so they had me taking a ton of shots to get the platelet & white blood cell count back up.
Once they figure the problem out, usually getting the count back up isn't too difficult, depending on the cause.
But they are right, it *can* be very detrimental if you go into a surgery where they need you to be able to heal fast and your platelet count is low.
Hopefully it's easily remedied. *hugs* I don't know all the causes of low platelets, hopefully it's something easily taken care of *hugs again*

I'm so sorry hun! *Hugs Mike*
I hope this doctor is able to help you out and get your platelet count back up. We don't want there to be any more problems after this surgery is done. I know when I had my c-section with Kira that there was problems with that. I remember I got sick with an infection the doctors still don't know what it was and was hospitilized for an extra two to three weeks after she was born.
I don't want you to go through the same thing. Having all those needles stuck in you all the time is not fun. *Shudders*
Wishing you the best of luck! *Hugs again*
