Letting Go

Over a year ago, our beloved pet ferret of 5 years, Noodle, was diagnosed with insulioma (sp?). He's been going through spells over the last year but has been such a trooper. In July, we thought the time had come to put him to sleep but it was a false call - he rebounded and all was good.

Until last week that is. Tomorrow hopefully, we'll talk to the vet for one last opinion and I'm pretty sure it'll be the one that I don't want to face. It's hard and he's been with us since my husband and I have been married. Also, I've been hit hard by a cold/the flu and all of this is making me very weary. A few moments ago, I gave him one last bath and cuddled with him.

It's just so hard to let go..
