Never pay full price for a late pizza

Hey everyone,

It's known I got a collection and I like to share what I got with the fans and one day I'll love to open a museum for Ninja Turtles.   People who come over normally find themselves surprised by the amount of stuff I have up, some areas here on the forum have shown parts of my collection like the review topic for the party I held in 2007 here.  Well about 2 times a year I like to switch up my collection, and I thought it'd be nice to have an area to put pictures for people who are interested in the changes of my display here at the house.

I don't always get pictures of the changes so not sure how much this will be updated, but I have been working on it a bit this last week.  So this week I'll be posting pictures as I get done with sections of my room.

This here is my entertainment stand top area, this slanted wall has always been a problem with hanging things up, so when my cousin and I decided to put this banner on the wall it proved to be the problem it always has been.  Though I think it looks a lot better than it did before with the one big banner, since before that things were always falling down.   I also redid the top of the entertainment stand, putting the statues up there and such.  I want a not so crowded look this time, so a lot of my Turtle toys that use to be up there are being put away this time around.

Here is my Display case the main theme in it now is Mirage.  So I have the NECA toys, every NECA toy in this display case is from NYC Comic Con.  The out of package ones were out of package in the NECA display case, as well as the 4 on the second shelf.  The ones on the second shelf is autographed by the toy designers, Eastman and Laird.  Also in the display case is a first print Mirage comic, a long with the hard cover release, and the 1st print Palladium RPG Book.  Also there's a handful of Dark Horse Miniatures also in there and some movie props.

Next is an image of my dresser which right now has a CGI TMNT Movie Theme.  It's got the main set of toys from the movie set up there.  Along with some other stuff like the TMNT Cookie Jars from the early days, a 4Kids Clock, the first release toy for each of the Turtles in the Next Mutation, A Usagi Statue, and a bunch of little Turtles.

Here is the rest of my entertainment stand, the top and bottom shelfs on both side is just displaying playmates TMNT toys.  The middle shelfs each hold a Turtle head from TMNT 3.  The middle being my TV, PS2, VCR/DVD combo, TMNT DVD Player, Laser disk player, and a few things here and there mixed in.

This is my chair, anyone who's been here knows this chair looked horrible!  Well I just did this today, I took a screw diver, and fabric and put this TMNT fabric on here it looks so much better.

Any how this is all for right now.  Happy/Smile

I won't give it away...

I do plan to open a museum for it... though I will be running the museum and taking care of all of this.   I am hoping after my surgery I can start taking this idea serious and get things going.

My collection means a lot to me, I love it... it's more than just items most everything has a memory.

Did you make that seat cover for the chair, or did you buy it? That's freakin' cool! That be awesome if you opened a Ninja Turtle Musem. I would travel way out there! Oh yeah, for your action figures, do you have copies of them in the original packaging?

The seat cover was fabric I picked up from a store in the area, I just put it on the seat... not attached to well I keep having to put it back on hehehe

And with the toys I have over 300 in their original packages, some of which are autographed.  I use to have them wall papering my room at my old house, but with the walls in this house I can't do that.

Here's the updated pictures of my room/collection as of today.

These are the scripts for the original TMNT movies.  TMNT 1, I bought online. TMNT 2 was a gift from a friend (This script was used during filming with all of it's notes in it), and TMNT 3 was a gift as well though was not used on set.  The animation cel in the image has it's original back ground art to it.  The thing behind the TMNT 2 script is an autograph picture of the Tour Turtles that I got in 1992, yes the glass in the frame is broken.

This image is on my dresser, it's the area hardest to keep neat, as my cat likes to jump up here to look at herself in the mirror.  The buttons in front of the tour bus is a set of TMHT pins from England that I won on ebay years ago.

This is looking up a bit towards my bed from the dresser. Here you'll see some press release photos framed on the wall from TMNT 3, on the desk you'll see portfolio books.  The one standing up has autograph photos of people I've met, the top one laying down is sketches from TMNT artist, under that there's two really big ones that have original comic book art, from Mirage, Archie and Image comics (mainly Image).  On top of the portfolio book standing up is an animation cel of Leonardo.

This picture is looking away from the dresser into the room.  You can see my computer desk, with both computers turned on, my tv set up, where I keep my shirts, and animation cels on the wall.  On the ground I used one of the new TMNT-L blankets as a throw rug.  This will not always be there, but I felt it helped give the room a little character for the time being.

On top of my entertainment stand.  Wanted to keep it simple this time, so mainly got the statues up there, the combat cold cuts, and a few food items like a plate, bowl, cup, spoon and lunch box.

Here's what's near Usagi at the top of the entertainment stand.  The main thing here that I got out for a reason is the paper that came with the Scratch T-Shirt, incase the topic comes up I would like to show this paper.  A good nod to Jake and showing the efforts that Mirage has put in to help him.

This is where I keep my shirts, seems a bit odd though my closet is stuffed with boxes so I haven't been able to hang them up in awhile and the dresser I have is to small for all these shirts.  I also enjoy that they're all TMNT, so I don't mind them being on display.  The top back corner shirt is the "Jake Black" fund raiser shirt that came out last year... http://www.tmnt-l.com/index.php/topic,4457.0.html I'll be wearing one of mine tomorrow for the interview.

My bed set up, here we have mostly the normal stuff my three pillows (top one use to be my Grandma's) though the pillow cases have changed since I last posted pictures of them.  The top one use to be on one of the other pillows, though the other two pillow cases were a Christmas gift from Mily last year, both really cool Michelangelo pillow cases that match.  Hanging up as a back ground piece is a Production Team Shirt from TMNT 3, these were sold at Turtle Con 92, it's autographed by the artist that were at the convention and now a few people who worked on the movie.

Looking from my desk towards the hall way... the display case hasn't really been changed.  I did add Fugitoid into the picture near the Neca TMNT toys on the third shelf down.  I have the autograph shirt hanging from the display case, oh and a Raphael Snuggie over a walking stick leaning up against the closet door.

Looking from my desk towards the Dresser and Hall.  You can see clearly here that my stuff in the hall isn't all TMNT anymore, as I've been hanging up more of my anime stuff out there.  I do love TMNT, but I have other interest as well... there's a wall scroll you can see hanging up which is from Fullmetal Alchemist which is one of my favorite animes.

Looking from the closet door to the bed.  This picture shows the new set up on the top bunk.  It seems to be my normal type of set up, a bunch of TMNT dolls and toys.  Not much different than what I did before.

This is the display in the hall way right outside my bedroom door.  That's Miki's microwave she left here, figured I'd use it while watching over it for her Wink, any how the choice out here is a mixture of things I enjoy.  Two of my most prized collection pieces right near each other, the Leonardo head from TMNT 3, right next to an original art work page from Mirage Volume 1, #10.  Around the base of the Leo head is a bunch of normal turtles, crystals, plastics, rubber, and glass, and there's a Neca Leo toy standing next to the head band.  I left out some anime toys in this area, since this is normally my anime display table.  I got a handful of Naurto, Fullmetal Alchemist, and a gaint Inuyasha.  I also put some of the rare TMNT toys out here from Scratch to an original April O'Neil out of package.

My walls in my hall way have not been really changed much... I'm leaving up the anime stuff, just too much work to take it down.  The only thing I did do was fill in a blank where a TMNT poster fell down from, I put up a Next Mutation piece which was signage used at the Words and Pictures Museum for their TMNT display back in 1997.

Last of the pictures I'm sharing here today, is the display hall picture.  Not as nice as it was set up for VH1, but than again I'm not pulling out all any of my collection that is put away this time, so this is all stuff that's been around my room.  This time the display hall is mainly back packs, some books and other items... including a first print Palladium RPG TMNT book, a few magazines from out of country, a few back packs from out of country, boot leg TMNT toys, and some Turtle Toys from out of country.  Three signs in this hall is from the TMNT 25 Tour, including that big one at the end of the hall, it was used in NYC, PA and MI.  Off to the left you can sort of see a yellow and green sign that was used for the ATA stops with the Turtle Bus.  There's another sign to the right (which is not in this picture) from the TMNT Foot Auditions in CA, which was autographed by a few of the judges. Happy/Smile

Well that's all for now, hope everyone enjoys seeing what I did this time with this crazy collection.

Always love to see what we have.  So many great things out there that not one person has everything so by sharing we can see things that either we haven't seen or was not able to find ourselves.

You mean the cardboard stand up?  I don't have room to have them standing away from the wall so they work better for me flat up against the wall.

GREAT collection!  your items from the film productions really caught my eye... very cool!  i'm a fellow original TGRI canister owner... i bought a huge box of 10-15 canisters several years ago. i kept 3... including a stunt canister, a pre-production prototype.

quick question... what are the draft dates on your TMNT 1 and 2 scripts?  i've been searching for early draft scripts from the first two films for YEARS and they're incredibly hard to find.

Not sure why I didn't see this reply earlier... though very cool to hear about your canisters!  I got just the one, I've seen others go up for sale but never went after others as I have other props I want to get my hands on and no money. Wink

About my scripts my TMNT 1 script is all white, which was the July 25th, 1989.  This is the only script that I ever bought, it was bought off of some website years ago, so I didn't think it was anything to early.  The TMNT 2 script is Final Draft July 26, 1990  it has some pages from the other drafts as well.  It was an onset used script by Ernie Reyes Jr.

Sorry neither of them are really early drafts.  Hope this information helps.

Now onto why I looked in this topic Wink  I did a write up about being a collector on Cowabunga Corner and wanted to share this with everyone.

Just got some new pieces for my collection I wanted to share with everyone.  Blue prints from some of the sets of TMNT 1, I got a total of five.  I'll share two here, though at some point I hope to do a Cowabunga Corner Blog about these.

Personally I find these cool, cause I never even thought about them for the collection.  I hope to some day frame these to hang up at my place then the museum when I get it started. Wink

One of these is of the sewers used for the movie and the other one is a top view looking down upon the roof top where Raph fought the foot clan before being thrown into the skylight of April's apartment.

I got something else rare and cool to my collection.  Last night I went out with a good friend of mine, introducing him to the 4Kids series.  To my surprise he had a gift for me, last time we hung out back in January he learned that I didn't have any TMNT Prototypes from the Playmate toys.  To my surprise with some connections, he was able to get me one!

So here it is 2006 Mutated Donatello prototype!
