My family and friends from back home said they miss going to the con (as do I) and we've talked about the idea of going back again sometime.  What I'm hoping to do is plan a trip around it where I'd fly home to Indiana and drive up to the con with friends and family.   I do fly back to visit a few times a year so it's a strong possibility in the future.  Won't happen this year though.  I just now got a job again and lack the funds plus I have already planned some other summer trips.  But perhaps next year or the year after.  I haven't forgotten about Motor City Con!
