Hey everyone, This up coming May 2nd is Free Comic Book Day. Mirage has just posted on their site... One of the things that we'll be doing to help celebrate this momentous occasion is joining forces with Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. and the world's greatest comic shops to celebrate Free Comic Book Day! Mirage will be reprinting the first issue of TMNT by creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in glorious grayscale. This super-special comic will be one of many books that you'll be able to grab sans a payment when Free Comic Book Day takes place on May 2. Hit the FCBD site linked above for more details about the awesome event. This is just one of the ways that we want to say "thank you very much" to all of you that have been supporting our efforts over the past two and a half decades. You guys rock! Are you planning to get the reprint of the first issue? I know some people have issues about this, though I think it's a good way to help introduce it to a new group of people. So I'm going to support and pick this comic book up. Why protest stuff, when the originals are still out there, and now even copies of the original can be found right on the main Mirage site. So I'll keep supporting the TMNT as things come out

Yes it does happen in the UK, go to the link in the first topic and check the store locator you should be to find one in your area, make sure to click the button for searching for a store outside of the US and Canada and that's where you'll find a list for other countries.

I'd gladly do this...besides, you'll never know who you'll be able to give that comic to as a gift to bring in yet another TMNT fan.

I've gone to a free comic book day thing once, but nothing was going on at my local store, and the comics were ok but there wasn't anything I really needed. Though this time I will be jumping to each store in the area myself

For those of you who don't know if there's a comic book store near you which is participating, here's a link to help everyone out: http://www.freecomicbookday.com/fcbd_locator.aspThis has a locator which lists the stores that are going to be participating. As far as I know, it's accurate and they do give addresses to the stores for those of us who will probably need mapquest.

Wow, Machee, they don't do things by halves, do they? Sounds like an awesome time!

I went and got my autographs-- Kevin Eastman was signing at The Golden Apple on Melrose in L.A. Here are a few piccies.
Oh, yeah, William Shatner was there as well.
Fangirl moment: Kevin Eastman "remembered" me-- I got an extra-special "oh, HI!" after he gave me a second look. And he said he really liked my shirt-- the green "Ninja" one. Glad I wore it.
Ah, Cynthia, grow up!
No, Cynthia, DON'T grow up! It's comforting to me to know someone else from my era will wear a green "Ninja" shirt in public. It's our version of the Red Hat society. Machee, all I can say is, you were at the best place a TMNT fan could be on Free Comic Book Day.
