I was in Manhattan yesterday, and I had a few hours to kill, so I decided to go to the castle in Central Park, because I've never been there. It was in the 30's (F) and windy. I didn't care.

I walked up the hill to the castle.

Some girls were nice enough to take a picture of me. Miraculously, I don't look hideous!

The pond was a little frozen, and all wise reptiles were hibernating. I decided to walk around to this jetty.

From the other side of the pond, the castle looks like this. It's very surreal.

I sat on the jetty and read for a while, because obviously that's what you do in near-freezing weather. I was hoping the sun would move so I could get another picture that wasn't full of horrible glare, but alas, it was not to be. Another time. Happy/Smile

Your pictures bring back some very fond memories.

It's been a few years since I've been there. But for some reason, I seem to remember a large circle near the Turtle pond, that has a huge bronze turtle shell inlaid into the cement.......

The castle is in some ways reminiscent of the 4Kids Turtle hideout in the last episodes before Fast Forward.

It's good to see this place again.  Thanks for posting your pics, Ami. Love

I'm pretty sure the pump-station lair is supposed to be under the castle. Remember, in the first episode of FF, when they run for the nearest exit, they come out in Central Park!

I didn't see any giant turtle shells, but there were signs everywhere saying how the park has been recently renovated, so maybe it's not there anymore.
