FROM THE SEWERS TO THE STREETS … TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES EMERGE FOR FIRST APPEARANCE AT MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
New York, N.Y. (November 3, 2005) – This Thanksgiving, 4Kids Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: KDE), a global provider of children’s entertainment and merchandise licensing, will kick off the holiday season with a special appearance from everyone’s favorite ninja heroes, the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES™. On November 24, the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES will appear for the first time before more than 2.5 million spectators and 50 million television viewers at the 79th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
“The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the biggest showcases in the world and there is a lot to show for the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES this year,” said Alfred R. Kahn, Chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment. “With a new season for the popular television series and an upcoming major feature film, the Turtles are bigger than ever and we look forward to giving fans the opportunity to catch sight of and cheer on their favorite Ninja Turtle character.”
With more than $1 billion in total retail sales since re-launching in 2003, the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES are a major force in children’s entertainment. The all-new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES animated TV series is in its fourth season, airing on 4Kids TV™ on Saturday mornings on FOX, as well as Saturdays and Sundays on Cartoon Network. The Turtles have enjoyed tremendous success in both television and at retail, which is expected to be bolstered by an upcoming full-length CG-animated feature film from The Weinstein Co. and Warner Bros. Pictures. The much-anticipated movie is currently in production at Imagi Animation Studios’ state-of-the-art facility in Hong Kong, and slated for a 2007 theatrical release.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is internationally recognized as the official start of the holiday season. Each year, Macy’s presents a lineup featuring spectacular floats, giant helium balloons, top high school and college marching bands, specialty youth performance groups and prominent stars from the
television, film and recording industries.
