My review!!!! Just of Friday! 

Well I did it. We got enough money scrounged together and I am currently in, New Jersey. Why? Well I am attending, NYCC!!!! Early this morn we went to the convention center and sat down in line at first with Kazari and Ivey. We were just chatting while we waited, then were joined by Crittle, Slash and Miki. It was cool just hanging out when all of a sudden, Ivey let out a shout. In the window where people upstairs could look down at us, were the TMNT in costume!!! I joined in her cheering and so did the crowd. A few minutes later they came down to say hi to everyone in line!!!! It was so great! I got a hug from Leo and Mikey! Mikey made kissing noises as he hugged me!! I loved it!!

The guys then made their retreat and we were soon let into the convention. First thing we did was go in to head towards the Mirage Crew and saw the playmates booth. We stop there and get a good eyeful of tmnt stuff. Some chatting was done then we continued on. Through out the travel we saw the Mirage Crew, The Heavy Metal booth and we got to see Scott. This was my first time meeting him so it was cool!

There was a lot of running around but we did end up back at the Playmates booth. The TMNT were there taking pictures! First it was Leo and Raph. We had fun while waiting there, to rest and for Mike and Don to show back up. When I got my pictures taken with the guys, first I hugged April and both the guys We took pictures and I told both guys that I adored them! I hugged Leo again and Raph wanted a hug so I gave him another. Then Leo is acting all hurt so I took his hand telling him I loved them all equally. He then kissed (Figuratively mind you these guys are in costume) my hand and I went to sit back down.

While sitting I was going through my bag and for some reason, Leo walked over that way. I think some one wanted a picture just with Raph. Hearing Leo, pretending to be not happy I latched onto his leg going, I LOVE YOU! He was surprised, but amused I could tell and he patted my head. Raph came over then and I latched onto his leg too, as Kazari was trying to step over me. So instead she trips over me and nearly collides into Raph!! LOL!!

Leo then took my hands and helped me up, kissing both hands.. then saw I had a wedding ring on. He was all pretending to be heartbroken! It was so cute!

Soon Raph and Leo left, there was a drawing for a free Ipod then Mike and Don show! Yay! We got tons of pictures! When it came to be my turn, Mikey made kissy noises again then pressed the face of his costume to my face making kissy noises! Yes I am married but I was still ecstatic!!!

Soon it was time to go so we head over to the panel room for the Mirage Crew panel. Next door was the panel for Emissary which had Brian Thompson there. He played Luke in the first season of Buffy and I wanted to get his autograph. At the end of the Mirage panel I went over and heard him say that he has an autograph session tomorrow. Well that answered my question if he would sign anything that night.

Now, after a little bit we are back at the hotel ready to crash for tomorrow. It's gonna be a long day with a lot of standing in line for autographs. Oy! No TMNT stuff though. I hope the guys in the costume are still there but I know for sure they should be there tomorrow!!

We got up around 7:40am yesterday, Fae and I were the first ones out of the room we headed into NYC and walked straight to the convention center where Kazari already was in line.  We sat with her, with permission of the people behind her.   And I played on the laptop a little and marked up a map for the booths I wanted to visit.  Got that all marked up, than Miki, Crittle and Slash showed up.  The line got pushed more forward so we couldn't be as spaced out as we originally were.  As I was standing there I looked up and saw the Ninja Turtles through a window on the second floor, I let out a cheer and than the crowd followed... I wish I had my camera, I was so happy when they came down to say hi to us in line!

I got out from the line and walked around getting video of them saying hi to people and snapped a lot of pictures, than got back in line with the others.  I sit down with them in line, till it's time to go in.  Once we head in I went straight to the TMNT booth that the http://www.tmnt25.com/ people were running.  When there we talked with people, entered their contests, and went took pictures of their toy set up.  On display they got the new toys coming out this year and they releases of the old toys were on display as well.  There was some of the Mirage red mask toys as well.  After we left there we went over to Ubisoft, where we met up with Bing.   Bing hung out with us as we went to find Heavy Metal, on the way there we found Scott Williams, said hi to him than went two booths down and said hi to Kevin.  After saying hi to Kevin, ran over to the Mirage booth. 

At the Mirage booth we saw Steve L, Jim, Eric, and Michael... I was surprised not to see Peter or Steve M.   Found out Peter was at the TMNT booth signing autographs and Steve M. was sick in the hotel room.  (I hope he's feeling better today).  I saw Blue, Wick and Ninjaplease while there.  I also went over and said hi to Danny Fingeroth and had him sign my T-Shirt.  He was surprised some one knew he worked on the show.  Than I went and got Jim Lee to sign my shirt as well.  After that I hung out longer with the Mirage guys, got to say hi to Peter, than I went to the TMNT Booth again, got pictures with the Turtles there.  Than went running to the Mirage panel, got there an hour early so Fae and I was in front row.

I sat there for the Mirage panel, it wasn't too surprising that after the Mirage guys said they don't have much to do with the original cartoon series that people kept asking them questions about the original cartoon series.  The set up of the panel wasn't the best, Steve L. and Michael sat on one side of the stage as Jim and Eric sat on the other side.  So the camera couldn't get them all at once.  Jake was standing up front asking the questions, he had a list he had to ask.  It was funny cause they wanted him to say words that he didn't wanna say like Shell-Ebration.  They talked about some of the future comics coming out this year, and a lot about the past and how much more loose things were with writing the comics.  It was a fun panel. 

After the panel I talked in a hall with Bing a bit longer, than Fae, Casey and I headed back to the hotel.  Miki, Crittle, and Slash showed up a little later.

What I really wish, is that the Turtle Costumed people could take the heads off and do interviews.  That would be rather fun, talking about where they have been, where they are going, and the interesting people they met along the way.  'April' just started with them, so she wouldn't have as many experiences to talk about just yet..

We are at the con now sitting in a panel room waiting for the Robot Chicken panel... got to meet a cool guy who works for Nick that worked on TMNT for a little bit.  We talked a little befor this panel started.  So far this has been a good event.  Lots of turtles.. and lots of fans.  I'll give a few more updates through the day... there will still be an over all post for saterday as well.

ROBOT CHICKEN panel is now over.  It was a lot of fun seeing as how Casey was wearing a Robot Chicken costume my dad made so he got a lot of attention.  Including being noticed by Seth Green at the beginning of the panel.  I asked if there was Ninja Turtles in season 4 though sadly there's not.  They are trying to come up with something to do with the NECA toys. 

They had standing room only in her as they mainly just answered questions.  There was a video they played at the beginning of the panel where one of their staffers was challanged to eat a dozen donuts.  He did it in like 28 minutes.  After Q & A they showed 10 minutes of a Christmas episode which was really cool.  Crittle and Casey were with me for the full panel.  After that panel Casey took off for the autograph session. Kazari, Fae, & Slash showed up.

Looks like we're going to will be missing the Voice Actors in the city panel.  It was either that or Venture Brothers and all of us want to see Venture Brothers.

In between panels again, right now we're waiting for the Venture Brother panel, as the Dr. Who/Torchwood panel ended.  It was a fun panel, they showed a preview for future episodes as Fae and I got to see a bit of Captain Jack on the screen.  At the panel was Director Euros Lyn and Actress Eve Myles.

Eve was a lot of fun as this was her first trip to the United States and everyone was so friendly to her.  She blushed so much up there, esp when one person asked her what it was like having to kiss a girl for the series.  I did get most of this panel on video though the battery died near the end of it, though still staying in this panel room so did not go to the autograph session.

Our group is up near the front of the room now.  With us is Crittle, Fae, Kaz, Miki, and Casey.  Along with some other friends that we know here a the con.  Let's just say we've been keeping busy talking.  I'm tired, and hoping to be able to head back to the hotel as soon as this panel is over. 

Pain -report -blahness... just needing... eh vent...

Pain wise this has been a very hard convention for me... I really wish I could say it's been getting better after 4 years of this torture, but this trip just shows me that I am no where near getting better.  I want to curl up some where and just hide from everything... though I'm trying not to let it control me and keeping a smile, I am enjoying the events as much as I can and getting the best I can out of it... just wish I wasn't hurting every second of the time... my arm was touched a few times today one of which was this morning and it still hurts, my upper arm just burns as if its got a huge bruise... I wish I could say it's no big deal... but when all you do is close your eyes and feel pain racing through ya... it gets to you after awhile.  I just have to tell myself that.. I know the risks when I come to an event.  It's what I live with all the time and if I want to do something other than hide at home, I have to take this risk and get out.

We got 15 minutes till the panel starts in the mean time all I can do is this...

So THAT is where you dissapeared too.  I figured you where waiting to chat with Veronica or Mike so I was outside the Panel door..when I didn't spot ya anywhere, figured you rested somewhere....

you've got to get those doctors balls in a knot and start moving this thing forward Ives.  At this point, sometimes got to happen by now..

We got 15 minutes till the panel starts in the mean time all I can do is this...

But.. but.. *Cries* NOOOO!!!!!!

Eh.. heh.. ahem. aside from that, today was an insane busy day. Got there early again and first thing I did when I got in was get in line to get an autograph from Kim Harrison. While waiting I found out there was a booth handing out books that she wrote, for free! Well one fo them really, so I hurried over to get one. I was going to buy one before I headed down but I just never had the time. Kim was really, really super nice! She signed my new book then gave me a paperback one of the most current one called, The Demon Outlaw Wails. All free! I even got a quick picture with her! 

After that I got in line to see Brian Thompson. He played Luke from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also on X-file and a bunch of other shows. Google his name or go to imdb to see. I wait for over an hour then finally get up to get his autograph. Part of the wait was waiting for him to show. I find out though that it's $20 for an autograph then you get a free picture taken with him or $10 for a picture. Even if I wasn't in it. Now, I do not have a lot of money to blow at this con. I have no money to blow at all really. So, disappointed I shook his hand and went off to the side. Once on the side though I did get a distant picture of him. Heck, for the time I waited, I think I deserve it.

Next was Jared Padalecki. He is in Supernatural and also going to be in the new Friday the 13th movie. The line for him and part of that cast was insane. Luckily, Miki was able to hold me a spot up front, since I went to the other lines and she let the people there also know I was going to be joining her. They were cool with that. For a moment though it seemed that things were going to get nasty, the organization for the lines was not all that great but the staff got it figured out. Jared didn't sign my Supernatural boxsets like I was hoping, though I could tell he felt bad about it. The producers wanted to just promote the new movie. Ugh! I told him it was okay though, it wasn't his fault, and got a signed poster of Friday the 13th. I'm happy I got something with his signature.

After that I had to find out where everyone else was so we could meet back together. The Chicken Robot panel I missed because of the autographs, but that did give me a chance to see Kevin and get his signature on a few more things. I also got one of the $7 Heavy Metal books. Awesome art! Slash joined up with Miki and I at this point and we headed down to the panels. I was tired of being on my feet, being up so early and not eating since breakfast. I wanted to sit and rest.

The Chicken Robot panel wasn't done yet, so I looked to see where some other rooms were that we might be interested in. Dead Like Me was full, so I wasn't going to even try that one. The Voice Actors and the City panel was across the end of the hall and then the Venture Brother's panel was in the same room as Robot Chicken. The room was closed off, it was insanely crowded. Once the panel was out and they let people in for the next panel (DC panel) we decided we may as well just stay. With how crowded it was, the chance of good seats if we left was slim. Next though was a Torchwood panel and that was very interesting. I think I want to start looking into that show

Finally the VB panel started. And by finally means, yay but oh I am so freaking tired! It was a fun panel. They set it up so at the end there was an hour time for autographs. Doc, Jackson and Mike were there. I showed Mike my daughter's picture, since he saw her picture when she was a year old I wanted to share how much she had grown. He was saying that she's so cute and growing so fast! After that I headed out and waited for the others to join me. It was late and we were tired. Kaz, Ivey and I headed back to the hotel and got ourselves some food and are hanging out now for a little bit. Tomorrow is another early day, full of TMNT goodness! So I will head to bed soon and try to get some sleep.

Yeah sorry about disappearing, I tried saying I'll be in the Venture Brother panel.  I really didn't get the feeling that if I went to the other I would be able to make it back into VB.

The Venture Brother panel was good... got to listen to a lot of questions about the new seasons.  Got to watch cut scenes that will be on the new DVD release coming this March for Season 3.  I will be sure to pick that up.  The panel group was smaller than normal, only Doc, Jackson and Michael was up there.  I was wondering where James was. 

This was the last panel of the day so they did the autograph session in the panel room, and you could only go up as your row was called upon.  We were in the first three rows so it wasn't hard to get up there.  Only one item per a person so I helped Slash and got her first DVD set signed by the three of them.  After that I had to pack up my stuff, while talking to a fellow TMNT fan that I met here at the con, I think he's from the Technodrome forums.  Not sure what nick or anything, though he seems cool.   I met him originally on Friday, but got to talk to him a bit more during this time while packing up my stuff.  Fae came in and said it was time to go helping me get the last of my things together and we headed out.

After a taxi ride to the bus station we got our bus and came back to the hotel.  Right now we're just resting a little but I think I'm going to get a hot bath in than go to bed soon.  I'm so sore it's not funny right now... I've been getting dizzy spells and falling a lot... even just getting on the elevator when we got into the hotel I found myself on the floor for the ride up. 

Tomorrow I'm going to do ONLY TMNT stuff, just take a day from running around and enjoy what the Turtle booths have to offer.  It's not every con that has this much TMNT stuff, I'd like to be there a bit more to meet more fans, get new autographs, and make new friends.

I think I'm going to get some sleep... cheerio for tonight.

Another early morning...

Fae and I decided we were just going to do TMNT stuff today, since we didn't get to yesterday.  When we got to ride the bus with Kazari to the event, and sat in line.  I talked a bit to the people around us, Raph and Leo came out to say hi to the crowd.  When we got in Fae and I went straight to the TMNT booth and said hi to Gary.  We stood around there a little, than walked over to the 4Kids booth, we went from there back to the TMNT booth.  Fae said she needed something to eat, so we were going to go do that... though Kaz found me and said "Hey guy doing a signing at the Archie booth"  so Fae and I split up.

I went to the Archie Booth, got the guy to sign my TMNT Shirt, he worked on the new reprint Archie is doing for 25 years of TMNT.  I got him to sign a few things, than finally got my back pack on thinking I'd head back to Fae.  I decided though I was so close to Kevin I should say hi to him.  So I went over and talked to him for a bit, than went to the Mirage guys where I ended up picking up a handful of comics and one of the pin ups they had and headed back to the TMNT booth.  I got there and said hi to a few people, than headed up stairs to see where the TMNT were suppose to be up there.  Mike and Don were on their way, so I got some photos and video of them there.. didn't stay for the full thing cause I wanted to go to the panel.

I came down and Fae had seats for us in the second row.  I set up there and talked with fellow fans before the panel.  The panel was interesting, it was a side of TMNT I never saw in the panel before... There was talk about the lost season, lots of talk about it and how they didn't want to skip it either.  Also talk of how they got into doing Fast Forward, they seem to really enjoy the Lost season as well.  They talked about how each of them got their jobs.

I will go over the video and get the names and post them up and get photos up about the panels.  It was a very fun panel and one I'd hope to see more of in the future.  After the panel I got a lot of autographs on my shirt, I'll post some update pictures of the shirt as well.  

We went up to the third floor for Kids Day stuff, the Turtles were taking pictures with kids than they had some stage show to do.  Fae ran off to see the Mirage guys, Kaz held our place in the stage show area... and I went to see them doing the photo shoot and take some pictures of this (I will share some).  I went over to the stage show, and joined Kaz.  The show started, April came out... introduced the Turtles than the show seemed over as a Karate class thing came out on stage... Kaz and crew left I remained with the stuff leaving the camera taping as I packed up stuff.... than the turtles came back out on stage, I watched the rest of the show as Fae showed back up so I could get up near the stage to take some pictures... after that it was saying good bye to people.

We wanted to make it short so I could see some of New York while the sun was still up.   We went to the TMNT booth got pictures one more time, raced over to Mirage and said good bye, went over to Kevin and said good bye, went back to the TMNT booth for a little longer than headed out.  

The con is over... there's going to be pictures and more later.  Now going to crash.

Could do a post last night. Was waaaayyy too tired and out of it. I can do it today though! 

Yesterday started off as another early day. Got up and got ready to head out. Kaz came over and we were ready to go... except Ivey couldn't find her money!! Kaz decided to go ahead so she can make sure we have a good spot in line for the con. Finally after searching Ivey found her money. It had gotten wrapped around something in her bag so it seemed like it wasn't there. Oy!

Now money in hand we headed out to the bus. As we were leaving I was checking the schedule and noticed it's different for Sunday. Which meant, and I was right, that Kaz was still there at the bus stop! For Ivey and I the timing was good though. The bus showed up minutes later. We get to the con and hang out until it was getting close to the time to be let in. In line I was talking to my hubby and just about to let him go when I hear a shout. Up in the window we see Leo and Raph! Quickly I hang up and start to jump and wave at the two. They came down stairs, on our side of the line to say hi to people! It was awesome!

A few minutes later we were let into the con. First we went around to say hi to some people then got settled in for the TMNT panel. It was really good, I enjoyed it! Seeing all the people who worked behind the scenes was just awesome! After the panel I got to get an autograph from Adrian Barrios (Character designer) and Keith Conroy (Lead Background Design, background design/layout and storyboards). From here we headed in and went to get a spot for the TMNT demonstration. Ivey went to get pics and and I ran to go see the guys from Mirage and Kevin real quick. Kaz stayed with our stuff.

Once there I spoke to the Mirage guys for a few moments then realized I forgot my wallet with the others. I told them I would be back cause I wanted to get some artwork they were selling of the four tmnt and Splinter. On the way back I stopped to see Kevin and while waiting, I saw him do a Shredder picture for some one. I had only one thing I wanted him to sign that day but after seeing that I wanted a Shredder pic too. He gladly drew one for me and I got the autograph that I wanted! 

During this whole time it was getting closer for the TMNT thing to start. It was really crowded though so a lot had happened by the time I finally got back up there. Yeah it started with out me but it was worth seeing Kevin and the Mirage guys again. Seems it was a good thing I was late cause the tmnt left the stage then came back out. If I was there Ivey would have left before the tmnt came back out on stage. Once they actually left for real this time, we headed down to the Playmates booth, where the tmnt were posing for pictures. Kaz left when the tmnt left the first time so we got a good place in line.

We got our pics taken then headed back to Mirage. They were packing up and I wanted to get that art packet! By the time we got there they had their stuff packed up. We said our good byes and wished them all a safe trip then headed back to Playmates. Oh yes, and I got my packet! From there most everyone split (Miki and Slash were split from us pretty much all day, Crittle stayed at the hotel to rest) while Ivey and I hung out at the Playmates booth till we had to go so they could clean up. I got a new nick while there though. I'm the Vancouver girl! 

This Con was so great!! I had a great time and so many great memories from this! My suitcase is waaaayyy fuller then it was when I got here, in fact I think I will be using my backpack as a carry on if I can't get everything shoved back into my other carry on.

My My, Scott looks different . I'm still pizza'ed that I couldn't locate him.  I saw a Scott Williams listed in artist alley, and after about an hour getting dizzy and confused roaming the various aisles, I finally gave up.  Only on Sunday did I find not only Kevin, but the WitchHunter group.  Ugh.  Sorry scott, will catch ya next time......

I'm going to be at the event in April covering things, even though we still don't know a whole hell of allot about it..
