Before TMNT my fandom was really big into ThunderCats.  I remember we use to program the VCR to record it every morning than we'd race home from school to watch the tape, I'd jump around with my own plastic sword to the theme song.  (we had two swords, the short and the long)

My favorite characters were Tygra, Kit, Kat and Snarf.  I collected everything on Thundercats like I do now with TMNT, and yes I still have most of my old Thundercats stuff. 

The show was about these people who got off of their planet just as it was destroyed, they find a planet to move to called 3rd earth.. Though while trying to live their they learn of the evil that is on that planet, Mumm Ra who wants to take the ThunderCats down, wanting the Prince's (Lion-O) sword. 

Still love the show all these years later.

Thundercats never aired here, so I had never even heard of it, until getting onto IRC (one of the regulars used the Tygra & Slythe nicks). I've since gotten all of the episodes on VHS (thx, Shredder!) as well as on DVD (thx, um, local stores!).  It's not bad.

The one thing about the show that we will forever disagree on, though, Mike, is that annoying furball, Snarf.  There are days when I think Scrappy Doo could take lessons in being annoying from Snarf.
