Ok, like the bread, I have risen to the challenge set before me. Not that many people actually challenged the bread, but you get the idea.
My fan topic - Are you a fan of Doctor Who and/or Torchwood? Do you watch the "new" Who? The "Classic" Who? Have you seen the 1996 movie with Paul McGann? Do you call the Doctors by the actors' names or their number in succession? Who is YOUR Doctor? What about Torchwood? Seen it? Wanna see it? Surprised at how different it is from its parent program?
As for me, never paid much attention to the Classic Who. A few of my friends watched it, but I paid very little attention to it. Didn't really pay attention to the New version either until we sat down and watched an episode while in London (Fear Her, from the 2nd season). It wasn't too bad. Happened to catch the finale of the first season on CBC a while later, which introduced me to Christopher Eccleston's Doctor, as well as Rose & Captain Jack Harkness. From then, I was hooked. I've seen all 4 seasons of the new show, including the Xmas specials that haven't aired here in Canada. Seen both seasons of Torchwood. Got all 6 seasons on their box sets.
And I've started watching the Classic Who too. Got the "Five Doctors" special for Xmas, and Sandra had the Paul McGann movie on tape ... so the only Classic Doctor I haven't seen in action is Colin Baker (I keep hinting at Sandra to get me Trial of a Time Lord for Xmas or B-day, but she absolutely loathes that storyline and doesn't want to give me such a thing. *G*). Ok, technically, I haven't really seen William Hartnell as #1, since he wasn't in the Five Doctors Special, but...
I also have been faithfully following the webcomic "The Ten Doctors" and it has been both FANtastic & Brilliant!!!
