Hey everyone.. here's an idea I came up with.  We have the "Getting to Know Us" topic which is cool, it focuses on our fandom of the Turtles.  I thought it may be cool to do a Profile topic here in the Lounge.  Everyone can reply too which would be like Getting to know us though, with more general questions.  So feel free to join in.

1. What is your first favorite cartoon/tv show from your childhood that you can remember?

My first favorite cartoon was Care Bears, was a big fan as a kid.  I liked Friend Bear, Secret Bear and Grumpy Bear. 

2. What is your favorite color?

Always been a big fan of the color blue.

3. How many different cities, states, countries have you lived in?  If a lot, tell us a little about it.

I've only lived in Michigan, USA... though I've moved a few times it's always been in the same general area.  I can drive to in about an hour to any of the houses I've lived in.

4. What is your less favorite color?

Yellow and pink...

5. What was your favorite subject in school?

Art, loved drawing as long as I can remember.

6. What was your less favorite subject in school?

Reading, always had a hard time with it.

7. Do you see yourself as a pack rat, is so, why?

Yes, because I still have most of my toys from my childhood.  I don't like getting rid of anything in my collection, there's memories attached to it all.

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone?

I like to be out with friends, though I am more of a person who likes to be around the house.

9. Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now?

Love pets!  Got two dogs and a cat right now.

10. What type of job do you currently have?

I am out of work, because of a work injury.

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?

Japan, but I'd need someone who speaks both English and Japanese to show me around

12. How many sister and brothers do you have?

I have 1 brother, and 1 sister.  I am the youngest.

13. What is your dream car?

I got my dream car, now I need to get a new one... and that is a VW bug.  Though my bug has been through a lot, so I'd like to get a new VW bug (with the color blue I originally wanted )

14. Do you play online games?

On myspace I play those games than I RP on IRC... but that's about it.

15. Do you read online comics?

I got so many, though I've only did a fan girl scream over one person when I learned I was going to meet him, so it'd have to be him... and that's Michelan Sisti who wore the Michaelangelo costumes for TMNT 1 & 2.

18. Do you buy movies or download from the web?

I buy my movies, even if I do download it at some point, I'll go out and buy the release when it goes to the store.  I support the entertainment people out there, for all the hard work that goes into these great movies and tv shows. 

19. How many bedrooms are in the house you live in?

Well two rooms are being used as bedrooms, but there is a 3rd room that could be, but my mom uses it as her family tree office.

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone? What friends? The people I know from High School & still talk to sometimes? They're usually busy when I call, or they make plans together & never think to try & include me. My best friend, lives in Arizona though. And so, in a way, I'd hafta say home 'cause I've nothing to do here & no one to do it with.

9. Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now? LOVE pets!!!!! I've a dog, & his name is Bo.

10. What type of job do you currently have? I work at Dollarama Plus.

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to? DISNEY WORLD!!!!!

12. How many sister and brothers do you have? One sister, who's younger than I am - though, I look like the younger one - lol.

Well, you know I can't resist answering a bunch of random questions about myself. 

1. What is your first favorite cartoon/tv show from your childhood that you can remember?
Possibly the Super Mario cartoons. The first one started airing when I was... four.

2. What is your favorite color?
Lately I like blue, although yellow is special to me.

3. How many different cities, states, countries have you lived in?  If a lot, tell us a little about it.
Not counting college residences, I've always lived in the same house.

4. What is your less favorite color?
Anything hideous that gives me a headache.

5. What was your favorite subject in school?
In grade school? Probably English.

6. What was your less favorite subject in school?
Math. In retrospect, I might have liked it better if any teacher had acknowledged that my backwards methods really did work.

7. Do you see yourself as a pack rat, is so, why?
Not really. I don't get a lot of happiness from objects.

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone?
I like my alone time, but I do miss my friends. 

9. Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now?
I currently have one old dog.

10. What type of job do you currently have?
Right now I'm nominally employed at the place where I've been volunteering for two years. I get to oversee computer activities. 

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?
I've never been to Europe at all. I'd like to go to Italy or Greece or the UK or any other cool place on the Continent.

I have an older brother and a younger sister.

The one with laser cannons.

Nope.

I follow XKCD and MNT Gaiden, and random bits of other things as people point me to them.

As in a painter? Possibly my favorite painting is Van Gogh's Starry Night, but I don't feel anything towards his other works. I don't know who my favorite artist is.

I don't really have one. I can't tell whether actors are good or bad, so mostly I'm indifferent.

18. Do you buy movies or download from the web?
I don't download, but I don't buy movies very often either.

Three, the master and two smaller ones.

Several, but I'm not sure any of them are very good.

TMNT  I'm serious too, not just cuz of all you turtle lovin' people here! lol I loved the original cartoon and the movies so much as a kid! That is seriously the first cartoon I remember really lovin' as a kid

black combined with any of the following colors....blue, purple, red. or even by itself.

3. How many different cities, states, countries have you lived in?  If a lot, tell us a little about it.
I've never lived outside of Carroll County, Maryland lol Grew up in Woodbine, moved to Mt. Airy for awhile, and now I'm in Westminster 

4. What is your less favorite color?
um...i'm not a big fan of pink really.

5. What was your favorite subject in school?
English, cuz I love reading and writing

Math...good lord I suck at it lol

7. Do you see yourself as a pack rat, if so, why?
Well kinda, I'll save the dumbest things if they have memories attached to them *looks at the several bags of peanuts Mike S. has given me over time* lol but if there's junk laying around and I don't remember why I even have it or forgot I even had it, I'll ditch it.

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone?
I hate being stuck at home...I get lonely really easily. I loooove going out with friends!!

9. Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now?
Yes I love pets! The pets in my house right now aren't mine but....I'm living with a super hyper dog and 2 fat cats lol

10. What type of job do you currently have?
none....my last job was in retail but it was seasonal sadly...i'm looking REAL hard for another job but there seems there are none to be found at the moment sadly. 

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?
I'd looooove to go to Japan or Austraila!

I have a younger sister.

13. What is your dream car?
One that I'm allowed to drive lol

There's a girl in the Venture Bros fandom I met who does the most awesome work I've seen. She is a fantastic artist, and has her own comic called The God Machine. She is known as Spooky Chan. Awesome stuff, seriously.

17. Who is your favorite Actor/Actress?
I'm a pretty big fan of Adam Sandler actually heh
And of course, Michael Sinterniklaas is my fav voice actor...but though he has done SOME live action work, I haven't really seen enough to say he's a fav of mine in the live action department heh
Oh, I also like Jonny Depp...and Drake Bell and Josh Peck. 

18. Do you buy movies or download from the web?
I buy movies....but if tv shows I love are available for download I'll get them so I can put them on my Ipod and carry them around with me to show to people who don't know about them!  But of course I will still also buy the dvds as well when available, to support the shows and the hard working people who put so much into making them!

1. Ooh, man...this one's a toughie. I know I watched Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers as a kid, as well as Scooby Doo and Get Along Gang. I just don't know which of these came first for me. Those are the four earliest shows I remember watching.

2. Favorite color, hmm, that tends to change off and on. Currently, it's a bright bubblegum pink, but it's been black, purple, green, blue and silver.

3. Only lived in one country and one state. I've lived in two different cities, though. The town I'm currently in and the town I went to college in. The town I live in is small and quiet and is quite literally the biggest town in at least a 30 mile radius as it's the only one that has more than 10,000 people in it. All the other towns have less than 1500.

The town I went to college in was much bigger, with much more to do. But it was more expensive and I couldn't afford to live there. I still travel there a lot, though, since this small town doesn't have much for shopping. I tend to buy clothes, books, and other stuff at the college city, as well as anything I can't find here, but don't want to bother ordering online.

4. Least favorite color? Probably yellow. I'm not a fan of yellows, oranges, and browns. And pastels. Pastels wash me out and yellows/oranges/browns don't look good on me. I prefer bright colors.

5. Ooh, there were few subjects in school I didn't like, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I suppose it'd have to be music as I was a band nerd(clarinet/bass clarinet!) all through high school.

6. Least favorite? That's an easy one. Math, particularly Algebra. Oh my lord, did I hate Algebra. I can handle the level 1 stuff, and aced Geometry, but 2nd level algebra gave me fits and still does. Ask me to mathmatically graph something, particularly curves, and my head explodes.

7. Eh, a little. I don't save everything like I used to, but stuff does tend to pile up, largely out of being busy in farm season and, well, laziness in the winter. I've been getting better about throwing out or giving away stuff that I don't need or is simply junk since I've had my own place. Sometimes I'll find something and either wonder how it got there or why it's there in the first place.

8. It depends on my mood. Generally, I prefer just staying home with my husband(mostly because this tiny town doesn't have much to do and we can't afford to do a lot anyways), but if I'm in a really good mood and friends are in town(or I'm in their town), I'll definitely go out.

9. My life would be incomplete without pets. I can't have any in the apartment because it's small and I'd have to pay extra, but we've got a chocolate lab(named Chip, short for Chocolate Chip, although we've playfully called him Buffalo Chip, lol) and tons of farm cats. Jasmine is the oldest as she just turned 15, and Zoe's probably the second oldest at around 10-11. Then we've got a bunch of strays and offspring from those two and others. We've got about a dozen, but they get fat on cat food and farm mice and pigeons, so they're well fed.

10. Currently, I sell Mary Kay skin care/cosmetics when I'm not helping on the farm(which will be soon, Dad's already getting antsy!). Earl does fieldwork while I help in the yard and house. Mowing lawn is a perennial task.

11. I actually have two places I'd like to visit that I've never been to. Japan and New Zealand. Japan is obvious, and NZ for the culture and zorbing. If nobody knows what zorbing is, it essentially is something fun they do in NZ where they strap you in a giant rubber ball like a hamster ball and roll you down a track dug into a hill. I'm not at all an adrenaline junkie, but that looks like a ton of fun. Hot springs also sound like fun, even if they do stink of sulfur.

12. None. I'm an only child, although I have two cousins on my father's side that are practically my brothers since we were raised so closely together growing up.

13. My dream car would be a Ferrari Testarossa, but I'll probably never actually GET one because of how much they cost and what I imagine the insurance on one of those would be. For something a bit more attainable, I'd probably get a classic Thunderbird. We've got a lot of classic car/tractor shows around here, so I love classic cars. Mustangs from the 70s are kinda neat lookin', too.

And if all else fails, my dream vehicle would be a Harley Davidson. 

14. I play only one online game, and that's City of Heroes. I haven't played it for awhile, though, simply because the spare PC Earl gave me can't handle the current issue(14 is in live beta now!) and while I have the Mac version, there's some bugs still being worked out with that. I get those fixed, though, then I'll be back on more regularly.

15. No, not really, though my husband does. He saves the funnier ones for me to read, though.

16. Favorite artist is probably Grant Gould. I see him every year at FallCon and get Star Wars art from him. Real nice guy.

17. There's a tie for favorite actor, between Tem Morrison(Jango Fett) and Daniel Logan(young Boba). Favorite actress is Leanna Walsman(Zam Wesell), who's actually the same age as me. My birthday's June, hers is October.

18. Yup, I do. I have iTunes, so I have music for my iPod, and I've been downloading shows to watch. No movies yet, but I've downloaded some shows. Pity there's no TMNT, though. No movie stores here or even in the bigger cities now, so I have to order those online or just download them now.

Edit: I totally misread this question. I download movies LEGALLY, obviously, through iTunes. I have bought through stores, usually in larger cities, though since those are gone, I get some movies at the local WalMart, but largely it's down to either iTunes or ordering online somewhere. But it's all legal. I don't do bootlegs.

19. The farmhouse has 3, Gram's has 3, but my apartment's only a 2-bedroom.

20. Yup, I have, more than a few. I know I've got some of my Zoisite cosplay up and I wouldn't be surprised if I've posted other random pictures over the years. I think I also have a picture of myself and Nova-kitty in the pets area.

    Not really. I am more than capable of giving away or throwing away things. Somethings I won't though.

    Its according to my mood. A lot of times, I'd rather be home alone. But there are those few occasions I'd rather be spending time with friends.

     Oh yeah, I loved having pets. Unfortunately, hubby won't let me have any animals. Which is somewhat understandable as we are never really home and can't bring the pet here to the office. But still... I miss my dogs I use to have.

     Currently working for the hubby in his business technology consulting firm. I don't have one particular title, as I do a little bit of everything. I do tech support, web programming, web design, photography, human resources, and bookkeeping. Most of the other people here are either tech support or web programming. Hubby does all of it to perfection, and then some other things too. Yes, I soooooooooooo married a Donnie.

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?
     I'd love to go to London or somewhere off into Europe.

     I have one spoiled rotten sister. 14 years younger than I am.

     I don't really have a particular dream car. Though I would like a sports car, but that will never happen.

     I sure do. I actually have a Shockwave Unlimited account. Then there's the strategy applications on MySpace that keep me somewhat occupied.

1. What is your first favorite cartoon/tv show from your childhood that you can remember?

- Oh, you didn't ask that did you?  Loved Looney Tunes, of course, but the first tv show I can honestly say I obsessed over would have been The Kids from C.A.P.E.R. which ran from Sept 11/76-Nov 20/76, and returned on Mar 19/77 before returning on Apr 9/77 till Sept 3/77.  Hey, I DID say obsessed.

2. What is your favorite color?

Currently, purple. But I like blue an awful lot too.

3. How many different cities, states, countries have you lived in?  If a lot, tell us a little about it.

One city, one province, one country. Have not strayed too far.

4. What is your less favorite color?

Growing up, I hated pink and green.  Now...camo-green, ugly yellows/browns/oranges...

Math & French

6. What was your less favorite subject in school?

History & Geography - but I love history now.

Oh heck yeah! For instance, the info about CAPER above I know because I still have a calendar from 1977 upon which I'd written down which episode aired when. I hate throwing things out...always manage to need it immediately after. Still got toys/clothes from the 70s. *G* Just found my old "Sweathogs" top, as well as a few t-shirts from back then.

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone?

Most of the time, I like my 'me' time.

9. Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now?

Love pets. If left to my own devices, I'd have a house full of pets. Right now, I've just got the Bomgorf (aka Sylvester, aka Psycho Kitty, aka "Picture in my sig")

10. What type of job do you currently have?

Full time. Office. Official title is "Property Accountant/IT Support" but it's currently about 97% accounting. (which doesn't really thrill me, but it IS a job)

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?

Ireland or Liverpool.

One brother - older than me by 6 years, 4 days, 8 hours, 50 minutes.

13. What is your dream car?

Don't really have one. One that doesn't require a lot of repairs would be nice, though.

Enh. Not in the grand epic scale that most do.

Yep. The Ten Doctors, Two Lumps, Punch & Pie, Devil's Panties, Sinfest, Something Positive, Oh! My Gods! mostly.

If you mean as in one that draws, etc...don't have one.  Musical artist(s) would be the Beatles.

17. Who is your favorite Actor/Actress?

Gotta go with the D-Man, too - Johnny Depp. He can play a variety of roles.

Buy. I like having the cases & extras that come with purchased movies.

19. How many bedrooms are in the house you live in?

Un...deux...trois.  Three. One's being used for storage and would scare the crew from Clean Sweep. Seriously, there's enough room to open the door, walk inside and close the door. Then you hit 'stuff'.

Probably a tie between Power Rangers, Winnie the Pooh, and Care Bears?

Red and green, for many reasons! HINT---->

Probably brown or grey, not the most attractive colors. >_>

Art!

Math and History, math makes you head explode and history puts me to sleep. =_=;

I’m a huge pack rat. I feel that if I throw away stuff, for some reason later I will regret throwing it away due to I needed it for something.

All depends on my mood, seems to be that way with everyone.

Yes, I have a 5 year old Westie, Lilly. (she came from the deeps of hell!) DX

I use to have a job as a Dog Groomer… well more like wash and dry the dog for the groomer to groom. It was dirty work, but the dogs were too cute! I am currently unemployed, though thinking of working at Petco.

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?
Well I’d love to go to Ireland. (is going this year to visit her sister who is studying abroad there.) And Japan of course, but I probably need more than just my one year of Japanese 1 at school before I could go…

One older sister and one younger brother.

An old fashion green convertible Slugbug Volkswagen!!! :3

I use to be obsessed with Neopets when I was 11, and I tried Gaia…but I don’t really like it. I like Internet Checkers.

No… I rather buy them.

How many different cities, states, countries have you lived in?  If a lot, tell us a little about it.  I was born in Portland, OR (only because no hospitals at the time covered my Mama that were in Vancouver), raised in Vancouver, WA .. and once I got married I made the trek out to Bellevue, NE to live.

4. What is your least favorite color?  Not sure I have a least favorite color .. There are times I go through where I like just about all of them.  Combinations, on the other hand ...  there are definitely some that I despise.   Like red and purple together.  It is SO hard on my eyes!

5. What was your favorite subject in school?  Art, Music, and English.

6. What was your least favorite subject in school?  Science and Math.

7. Do you see yourself as a pack rat; if so, why?  I suppose you could say I am.  But only with silly, sentimental things.  I have seen what being a pack rat did to my Grandmothers' (yes, plural) homes, so I try to avoid it!

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone?  If I'm out with friends, I prefer a small gathering.  But I really do like to stay at home.

9. Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now?  There has rarely been a time in my life where I didn't own a cat.  I think there was a year in a half when I was in grade school between two, but that was it.  I have two boy kitties now, Guinness and Little Guy.

10. What type of job do you currently have?  Stay At Home Wife  -- aka, I do all the housework and touch-ups on the house.

11. Where is one place in the world you'll like to visit that you've never been to?  Ireland.

13. What is your dream car?  I have a few.    '61 Dodge Charger - cherry red.  '67 Shelby Mustang - green, and a Jaguar.  I don't care what year, just make it silver.  And then there's my more practical dream cars;  The green Jeep Wrangler and the big blue Dodge Ram.

I have lived in several places. I was born in Virgina. At three years old I moved over to Sigonella, Sicily (Right next to Italy) where we moved around a bit. When I was nine my mom remarried and we lived together for a year in Virginia. After that year though I went back to Sicily until I was 14. At that age we moved to where I am now. Washington State.

A greenish yellow.

Chorus and Drama. Those rank in equalness for favs *G*

PE. I am not a person that goes with running a mile on command.

1. What is your first favorite cartoon/tv show from your childhood that you can remember?  I'd have to say Sesame Street.  But most of the time we didn't get good reception for most channels, so I was always popping in movies instead.  Muppet Movie and Wizard of Oz were memorized by me ...ahh...by the time I was four?   When turtles came out on tv it became my fav until Lord Dregg stepped in, then Animaniacs, Tiny Toons took over. (sadly, I *still* watch cartoons, but my early teens count as childhood, right?)

2. What is your favorite color? Green.  Always has been.

3. How many different cities, states, countries have you lived in?  If a lot, tell us a little about it.  I lived in Eugene, OR for two years, and ever since I have lived all over W. Washington. 

4. What is your least favorite color?  Pink.  And combonations of bright colors like pink, orange, and yellow.  It's painful.  Which is usually why I don't like spring clothing.  I like natural earth tones better.

5. What was your favorite subject in school?  Believe it or not, until I got to 6th grade it was Math, Art and Spelling.  After having a horrid teacher in 6th grade, math fell through the floor for me and it became Art, Choir, Drama, and yes, Physical Education.

6. What was your least favorite subject in school?  Before 6th grade I despised History (which is ironic because now I love it), after 6th grade Math became the all time evil 4 letter word.

Do you see yourself as a pack rat, is so, why?  Halfway in the middle.  Frankly I come from a family of pack rats, and I'm trying to *not* be that bad.  I saw all the stuff my grandma collected for years and years pile up in her little trailer, and when she passed we had a *lot* of stuff to get rid of.  Sadly, it was all stuff that SHE loved and thought everybody should keep, but nobody else saw use for it.  

8. Do you like being out with friends or home alone?  Yes.  But I usually don't get to do either anymore   (out with friends when they all live at least an hour away makes things difficult, and being home alone never happens because I have a 2 year old to keep me company at all hours)

Do you like pets?  If so do you have any now?  I do love *dogs*.  I don't do well with just about any other kind of pet.  I had a pet turtle during high school, but he's doing much better with a little girl who showers affection on him daily, now.  Cats run high on the allergy list in both me and my husband's families (that and there are *way* too many strays in this neighborhood, I won't add to it).  I had a cockapoo (or a muttapoo, we're not sure) when I was little, then I had two dachsunds from 5th grade to just about two years ago when the second one passed on.  Now my mother bought another mini-doxie who is..*totally* sweet.  I think I'll count her as my own. (she already claimed me as well!)

10. What type of job do you currently have?  Stay at home mom.  And lordy is that job difficult when you're 8 months pregnant.

I now live in Sioux Falls with my girlfriend Mica and am happier than I've ever been.
