Your favorite April.

Which April was your favorite?  I'm leaving out the comic books because I know there are a few different comic series, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to stick to movies and tv.  I did add an "other" option though to cover that, the anime and Next Mutation if she was in there.  I'll be honest, I didn't watch that show.

First movie has always been my favorite April, with new cartoon April at a very close second...

I don't know I just always loved her attitude and how adult she was and her relationship with Casey....

Newer cartoon because she CAN actually take care of herself, but once or twice she's proved to maybe be a little more skilled than Casey, poor guy.

I pick the new toon April for about the same reason that Mily did.   Which is why I also love the Archie April, she learned to take care of herself as well.  I hated it that April in the original series spent so much time with the Turtles and got into trouble so much but NEVER took the effort to be trained to defend herself.   So the new toon April got my vote here.

I've also be come a bit of a Veronica fan lately.

I chose newer cartoon April. She's young but not immature and is a lot braver as well as more intelligent.

Though I strongly think whomever came up with her character design and outfits needs to be fired. (Who wears a middrift with a lab coat? Honestly) I think the new toon April is my favorite. She's scrappy and can totally take care of herself. She's also a lot smarter than the other Aprils. It's nice to see someone actually being able to keep up with Donatello when the technical jargin gets heavy.

I liked April's red dress in Exodus. But that's about the only outfit that's been any good on her. And even then, red dresses don't go the greatest with red heads.

Wow, I'm almost afraid to pick second and third movie April.  But, it wasn't April, I really like Paige Turco!  I think she's a beautiful and talented actress.  With April, I guess it'd have to be new toon.  Not because of Veronica, although the more I see her at cons, the better I get to know and like her.

I picked new 'toon April by the way, basically for all the reasons some of you already listed.  I like that she's not the damsel in distress.  If I had to pick a second it would be first movie April.

I never cared for the oldschool April very much, I always felt like she'd sell the turtles out for a story eventually.

Old toon April, despite her being OMG!KIDNAPPED about 1 trillion times AND the.....yellow... jumpsuit, IS very cool. I thought she was... AHEM, very mature in the video games . Her outfit in the 95-96 TMNT toon series wasn't too bad... Brown jacket, wasn't it?

I only like April in the movies - mostly the first one - otherwise, I CAN'T STAND HER!!!!!!!!! And of COURSE, because he name *IS* April, on the TMNT calendar's that's the month she'll ALWAYS be, so chances of me havin' a TMNT on the month of my b-day is NEVER!!!!!!!!

I'd have to say the first movie, because not only did i think the actress did a good job but it was th efirst time for me to see what April could have looked like as a real person and not in the yellow jumpsuit. lol.

Old topic, I know.  It's actually kinda hard for me to pick one.  I do like the FB/4K April alot cuz like the comics, she is very techy and she can kick butt too.  However the reporter version of April from the OS and the movies, while at times a damsel-in-distress, also proves to be very helpful in that she provides the turtles with all sorts of information.  Esp. on bad events happening and any kind of threats.  I'm glad she now knows self-defense, but sometimes I actually don't mind the TMNT dashing to her rescue, as long as it's not too overdone.  

I will have to say that I didn't mind the OS April joining the turtles on their adventures.  Tho it did get to be a little much.  However in the FB we don't see enough of her (I know it's based on the comic book events, but even in the comics it's too bad we didn't see more of her).  So I kinda like it inbetween the OS and the FB in how much involvement she has; more than a little, but not too much.  Tho at least we are seeing more of April in the latest FB eps, so that's cool.

Truthfully I think that was one of the things that shocked me, when we went the first full episoide without April, than when she showed up I thought she'd be in every episoide from there on out like she was mainly in the original series, but there's long stretches where we don't see her at all.   I don't miss her to much, though there's been a few times I'm like... "Where's April and Casey" hehe

Tough choice. TMNT II April was really pretty. The one from the first movie was cute too, and also pretty well written. Haven't seen enough of the new toon to really judge on that April.

I voted for the newer cartoon version because it's closer to what Kevin and Pete had in mind for her character.  
 
    I think both movie Aprils were very much on the money too character-wise, and I liked them.  But I'm partial to animation and cartoons, so I went there.

I voted for other because I really liked April in the new CGI movie. She was tough she was cool and she was level headed and had a cool job and wasn't a lab assistant in the movie. Also I thought she was much prettier in the movie and more realistic coloring than her cartoon counter-part.

I'd would have said first movie April because she is very cool, however I went for new cartoon for most of the same reason plus she did that great nod to old toon April when she pretended to be a reporter for channel 9 which inverted and became channel 6. Oh man I love being a geek and catching all those!!

I picked the newer version of April - though I did like her in all four movies (count 'em there are four)

I didn't really like April too much from the Old Cartoons because of the way she was portrayed at the time.  You know, the DID - damsel-in-destress - gig they seemed to always have.  Sure it was funny at times, but even my best friend and I had picked up on the DID thing whenever we'd watch the old videos she used to own.

The new cartoon April is smart and tough, the way girls should be seen.  Not darn well weak that a bloke has to rescue them all the bloody time.  I'm not saying the goldie oldie April was weak (well, yeah I am actually) I just think that they should have given a little more consideration towards the fans who were not boys.

to be honest I like April in the cartoon but I kind of don't, she just doesn't seem to have much presence in the show or play as strong a role. I don't really like that she is lab assistant in the cartoon because it just seems so ordinary. In the movie she has her own bussiness travels all over the world and collect artifacts. That is really cool.

I actually kinda like April in the new cartoon because she's got many different sides to her when dealing with different characters. Runner-up would be April in the first movie.

I gotta agree, I loved the old April (yellow jump suit was so memorable heh) but after seeing the New Toon April, I just was overwhelmingly won over by her.

of course I'd have to go with Mirage vol. 1 April over all versions, but since the newer cartoon is most like her, that's my vote.  I'm happy Fast Forward is over because she's one of the things that has been missing for awhile now.
