Villain of the Month * Krang *

Hey everyone I didn't forget about this, just been very busy this month.  Any how, here's our villain of the Month.





Krang is a very fun villain from the original series.  He worked along side of Shredder, both of them wanted to be in charge so it was a contant fight of who was the boss.   Krang usually won since he had everything that Shredder wanted.   Though he did need Shredder to build him his body.

Krang was banished from Dimension X, without his body so he was just a brain when he came to Earth.  Shredder made him a body as Krang promised to help destroy Splinter and the Turtles.   Though not even the body was able to stop the Turtles.  

I enjoy a lot of the interaction between Shredder and Krang, esp when Shredder would get all winy when Krang wanted something that Shredder did not want to do.  A good example is "Turtles on Trail" when Shredder finally had the Turtles where he wanted them, but Krang wanted to destroy them with his new toy and ordered Shredder to let the Turtles go.

What are your thoughts on Krang?
Besides kinda icky and very annoying at times? He really got on my nerves in a lot of episodes JUST when Shredder had the Turtles, Krang comes in to mess up the day. Poor Tinhead.

Which season did you like Krang best in?
LOL, shoot me if you want, but I REALLY enjoyed the anime version. He was annoying but so funny "...because I have the personality of a kitten!" Muhahaha!

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?  
For him not to be such a whiny prick?

What are your thoughts on Krang?
My thoughts on Krang was that he was an interesting character to have in the show. His voice is very memorable because think about it, how many people do you know actually talk like that? Also, like previously mentioned, he would do something that would end up letting the turtles go. So in a silent way, i was kinda rooting for him for those 'close scenes'. lol

Which season did you like Krang best in?
TO be honest, it's been so long since i've seen the original cartoons, i don't really recall. I'll have to get those DVDs and watch them... hope i don't have the same reaction Wayne did when he sat down to watch them *pondering thought*

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?
Um.... For him to actually have some kind of hands instead of those tenticals. Those things i just found way creepy!

What are your thoughts on Krang?
To me he is what made the original cartoon as funny as it was... he was such an amusing, goofy little character who to this day you can't think about without coming up with a quote and laughing about it.

Which season did you like Krang best in?
I have to go with Mindy-chan on this one and say the anime... I was nearly crying from laughter watching the interactions between him and Shredder the first time I watched it!

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?
Maybe had him really get a clue around season 5-6 and see that maybe they should try something new to defeat the Turtles.... *laughs* I mean he is a big brain, one would think he would be smart!

What are your thoughts on Krang?
He has been my favorite TMNT character since I was a kid.  The bad guys in the original cartoon were what made the show worth watching to me, and the interactions among them were always funny.

Which season did you like Krang best in?
His character has been pretty consistent throughout the seasons, so it's hard to say which was the best.  I agree that the anime version was particularly funny, though.

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?
For him (along with Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady) to have been in more episodes toward the end of the original cartoon.

What are your thoughts on Krang?
Simply the fact he wasn't so smart for being a huge brain.  Hehe.  Seriously, Krang could have been a hundred times more powerful and controlling if he had a stronger set of villains to back him up.  But, sending Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady out repeatedly and for them to screw up every single time shows he's not a good judge of who he hires to do his dirty work.

Which season did you like Krang best in?
Either ones where he almost conquers the Turtles (because he was thinking clearly) and the ones where we see a normal side of him.  The idea of him watching soap operas was hilarious.  "No, no!  I want John and Marsha!"  Yeah, I know, he's not so menacing when they do stuff like that to him, but it does get a chuckle out of me, and for a cartoon, that's good.  

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?
I don't know about a permanent change, but one thing I would have liked to have seen different is him being very serious with no humor whatsoever.  He didn't seem a ruler type, but more of one who would look to a stricter villain who isn't the least bit funny.  Think of Lord Dregg, so to speak.  Even though I like to laugh, the humor placed in the villains unfortauntely makes them weak.  We laugh because it's so pathetic to see the bad guys lose every episode, and lose in a way that degrades them.  Sadly, when the cartoon did go slightly darker, Krang was out of the picture, along with Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady.  I think if they were still around, Krang would have gotten meaner, and that would be an interesting change to see.

What are your thoughts on Krang?
He was just an awesome character and I never got enough of him!

Which season did you like Krang best in?
I loved everything about 1993, especially Krang. He really stepped up his performance well that year and he even started becoming more bent on his intentions to take over Earth, which showed he had his priorities straight for a change unlike Shredder who at the time wanted nothing but vengeance on the turtles.

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?
I would've given him a better android suit. The pro-wrestler getup just seemed kinda dopey at times.

I thoguht his voice was kinda odd...like, kinda freaky, kinda annoying...but he was better than some....

What are your thoughts on Krang?
Loved the guy, he had his own personality, perhaps even more worked on than the turtles (who were like, pizza this and pizza that - but DO NOT get me wrong, I just love the 80s turtles), but Krang was the best villian next to Shredhead, of course. His voice really cracks me up, especially when he says Shredder's name - I can't remember what episode but he spoke it in a whiny voice that just made me laugh. I always do impressions even now  

Which season did you like Krang best in?
I couldn't say, I think in each season he has some good spotlights.

If you could change one thing about Krang what would it be?
I'd go ahead and agree with Jephael about the body. It could be much better.
