Hey, first post, whats up?!
Anywho, one of these days, after I know a few turtle related guests are going, I'll buy tickets. This will potentially be the first Comic-con I attend. Dooney posted a journal on his deviantart the other day, I believe somewhat 'confirming' that he'd be going.
Here it is;
"I figgered that I should update this journal at least each season right? Well the nicer weather is finally here so I'll be looking forward to getting some fresh air and I'll also be going to some cons over the next several months. So far the plan is to set up in artist alley at Heroes Con, San Diego and then the New York Comic Con in the fall at least. I may add some others to the list as we go, I will keep you posted."

Sweet.. hey Guys, as you know I'm from The Netherlands! And I'm actually planning to go. Will be my very first time in America, and what better time then during the Con.
Really wanna meet you guys, Michele, and Rose and all. I know Michael Dooney is going, and Scott will be there for sure. Is Kevin Eastman going?? 'cause he is the real first reason I want to go (along with alot of other things).
Looking forward to it alot. Gotta plan quite some stuff. Visum, Passport, Hotel, 3-day NYCCC pass, flighttickets, dollars....lots of dollars $$$
Can't wait!!

Hey guys - just as a heads-up, after next Saturday the tickets for this go up by $5-$10. So if you're definitely going but don't have your tickets yet, now would be a good time to stop procrastinating.

Working out my plans for NYC Comic Con...
I'm planning to go out a little more this year with it, usually I try to save money by staying in NJ. Though this year I'd like to get a hotel in NYC, and instead of driving out there I'm going to take Grey Hound.
Working this all out, would be nice to enjoy the time there. I'm looking to stay in NYC for at least a week.

Cool, I'll try and get a list of places together to show you. I know we're doing Rays (aka Roy's) on Sunday, may be a good time to go to 11th and Bleeker as well. So I'm thinking we'll hit Central park for sure on Monday.
Are you interested in going to places were they filmed "Turtle Tunes"? Because there was a lot of spots in Central park used for that.

Not really interested for Turtle Tunes, but still cool to see spots around Central Park. And maybe we can see 4Kids studio on Monday right. I know from Gregory chances are slim, but maybe a TMNT actor will just walk in/out while we pass by Sunday we'll def. do Roy's and 11th and Bleeker. The Con ends a little earlier on sunday right? So plenty of time to round up everyone I want to celebrate my birthday with

In all my years of going to NYC and walking by 4Kids, I've never gone inside. I won't go inside without permission before hand... and it has to be more than permission by a voice actor. I know of a fan who did go in, thought it would be ok... the door man told her to go up to the floor that 4Kids was on... she did... the voice actor who lead her there got in trouble for it. So unless we have a real invite to go inside pass the front doors of the building, I don't recommend it to anyone. The person who did it is a friend of mine. She did not mean any harm by going. So without permission I won't go through the doors.
I know a few spots that had filming in New York... though mainly stuff for Turtle Tunes. Like the Fountain. With the movies, I know for sure Ray's was used in TMNT 1. I know where April's Apartment (outside) from TMNT 2 is... I'll have to relocate it, was only there once back in 1993. I wish Planet Hollywood still had their Turtle costume, because that was really cool to see when we'd go there. The Castle & Turtle pond in Central park is a great stop. The artist did a wonderful job on recreating it for the show.
The convention always ends earlier on Sundays. I want to see their schedule, heh still waiting on their guest list to. I usually print up the schedule when they post it, go over it and write up my own schedule of where I'm going to be at the convention. I make a handful of print outs to give to people who I'm hanging out, and if I get it done early enough I post it here on TMNT-L. Than when I get to the convention I go over the program there, to see if there was any changes from the online schedule... there's usually a few from guest that cancels or rooms being switched around. So I fix up the printed out schedules.
With getting to the convention I recommend getting in line daily around 7am if you can. The reason for this is so you're closer to the front of the line. Trust me, this is helpful because the line gets really long and if you get there around opening time you're going to waste like 1 or 2 hours in line while the convention is going on. If you get their early, yes you're in line for awhile but you miss less of the convention hours itself. I like sitting in line with friends, that's a great time for just hanging out. Depending on the schedule on what I do after the convention is open, I try to usually get some dealer room time in... to say hi to friends and stuff, the schedule does have me scared this year... with both NYCC and NYAF mixed into one.
I still haven't looked for a hotel yet, I should do that soon. Anyone with recommendations could help.

Hey do you know of any spots where they filmed "We Wish You A Turtles Christmas" by any chance? I'd take you up on the turtle tunes spots (being that I'll be with Rutger for the con, I'm with yall for the 'tour') but I haven't actually seen that VHS. Anywho, as it is now I live in South Carolina & I know most of the first film was shot in Wilmington, NC, do you know if any of the locations still exist or were they just man-made sets? As for the first post, you oughtta update the 'turtle guests' section! We know for sure That Eastman, Dooney, Sinterniklaas & Williams will be there!

Jenn(soliloquy), Robina, Jem, Jordan, & I are staying at the Best Western Convention Center Hotel. BTW, Ives, can you add me and Jenn to the "list" also, what do the *R*s mean??

If you're there at opening, yes there's a line to get in. A big line each day, but if you come later in the day the line isn't there. In the past they'd have the line inside the building, not sure if it'll be the same this year since they're planning to use more of the building with the Anime Expo at the same time.
Ok added, sorry I thought I added you two back when soliloquy mentioned it, was shocked to see you were not on the list.
*R* means that you're already registered.

Wow, you are far more awesome and BRAVE than me for going at opening ... I tend to sleep in and meander over there later like I did at San Diego Comic Con just so I can avoid the lines. Mica and I are already registered, so can we get the fancy *R* by our names, too? (I want to feel special, heh.) I'm so excited to meet the TMNT fans from here who are going ... Other than you, Michaelangelo, I don't know if I've met anybody else from this board. Take care, Jenn

*R* are added....
Yeah, I like getting there at opening, cool offers and stuff. And as I said, the line is one of the best hang out times. Last time Kaz, Fae and I would sit there just hanging out. It was fun, and also we got to see the Turtles come through the line... it was the first time we saw the costumes at the convention and the crowd's reaction was GREAT! I don't dread lines, I've even made some good friends in some of the lines I've been at, at conventions.
