I haven't played it, but I have thought of giving it a try. My bro bought it but doesn't really play it anymore. Is it any good?

I've tried to avoid playing any of those MMORPGs because of hearing other people getting obsessed and spending all their waking hours playing it. I did that with Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which is just a single player game, and I don't want to go through that again.

It has good graphics. And you can build your own guild and buy armor. It costs $50 bucks though

I play GuildWars.

If you're honestly that out of control of yourself that you can't turn off a game and find something else to do, I recommend not buying it. Guildwars has a lot of features about it that make it less addictive than most MMORPG's.  The number one feature it has for me though is free play. You buy the game and sign on for free, for life.

I'm on once in a while. The name is Deirdre Brennan. Feel free to add me to a friends list if you'd like. I might not be on much. Honestly, I'm too busy these days to be "addicted" to Guildwars

I just bought it for my Brother in Law--it's a pretty decent game.  My friend Leah (not related to any leahs here or in any tmnt fandom) worked for the company that produced it, and got to basically play it to find all the kinks.  She, of course, gives it rave reviews, but I'm pretty sure she has a slight bias Wink

It is different from Everquest, WOW, StarWars Galaxies, in that it's free once online..and I believe each expansion is a new chapter, essentially.  You can get the oldest one for $30 whereas the newest chapter is around $50 (at Target at least, might be different elsewhere).  I believe, including the original, there are three chapters in total.  The graphics are nice, but beyond that I haven't played it.  I can tell you that it's more easily addictive if you have friends on it.  Not so much if you're running around alone.  But it's just as addictive as, say, chatting, rping, or playing anything else.  If you're worried about getting addicted, get a little kitchen timer and give yourself time limits.

If it weren't for me there'd be nothing but a pile of clothes on the floor.
