So, in keeping with the current season, how would you react when faced with a shortfall in the wrapping paper department?

Came into this problem a few times... I cut a small part of paper from the same roll, than slide it under where it's missing from, so it just looks like it's over lapping the other paper... and put tape over it.  What I hate is when you're done wrapping and some how it gets a tear in it...oy

Yeah, I just use a fill in piece of paper. I usually have so much scrap paper left from where I wrap the smaller gifts, I just use that.

What I hate though... is going out and buying wrapping paper because you ran out, twice. The last time I ran out this Christmas, I said screw it and bought gift bags. :p

I used paper & boxes...both of which attacked me last night.

The wound from the box is particularly painful today.

You guys wrap your presents?  Shocked

Kidding... I've done the creative paper wrapping thing when I've run out of a certain kind of paper, and I'll patch it with a different pattern. As long as the colors and patterns actually work, it doesn't look bad. In fact, I like wrapping things oddly just for fun.  Cool

I had to wrap a can of potato chips today - not Pringles, but something along those lines. Only it wasn't even perfectly round. Used a narrow strip, spiralled around, then had odd paper for the exposed ends. This was late in the day and I was fast approaching my "If I never see wrapping paper with grinning Santas on it, it'll be too soon" point.
