You know, you never can predict where life is going to take you in this world.   One minute you think things are going great, though a single event can change everything, and you'll never see it coming.  As most of my friends know, things have been very rough on my family, ever since the year 2003 things have been a down hill roller coaster where I fear things are just getting worse.  I don't know how to stop it....

Here's a timeline for those of you who don't know what's been going on:

2001:  Grandma came down with cancer.
2002:  It came back and mom moved in with her.
2003; March:  Mom decided to add an addition to the back of my Grandma's house for my dad, mom and I to move in.
2003; August: Grandma died the day the house was being built onto.

Now we have two houses, the one we're moveing into and the one we moved out of.  My dad fixed that house, and it's been on the market since May of this year.   Though we're buried in morage payments and things are getting so much worse on my family.  My dad makes $1,000 less than what our Monthly bills are, and unless we sell the house soon things are going to get a lot tighter on us.  Sad/Down

I've been giving my folks over half of my Worker Comp check to help keep the roof over our heads, but it sounds like even that is not enough help.  We're so trying to find away out of this... and we're not finding any help what so ever.

I feel sick, I want to help my folks more than anything.   And Christmas is coming up, it's not going to be our best Christmas with how depressed everyone is.   We're taking on selling the house ourselfs this next month, getting rid of the realstate agent we have.   So I know we're going to be working more with the other house till it's sold.

The Best Christmas present I can think of, for my folks is to find away to get that house sold by Christmas.

It's a two floor house, 3 to 4 bedrooms, a nice size open basement, two full bathrooms, a huge living room, dinning room and kitchen.  It use to be a two family house, though it was changed to a one family house before we moved in.  So it's a nice size.  It's located in Ferndale Michigan.   It has new floors in the bathroom, and we even put up new walls in parts of the house, it's totally re done and is in the best shape I've ever seen it.   It's ready for any family to move in with a new heater (plus central air), windows, roof, and a small deck on the back of the house.

If anyone is thinking of moving and is thinking Michigan... or know someone who's been looking to move.   If you can, help promote this house I'll never be able to say Thanks enough, for my folks and the rest of my family.  This house is eatting us alive and as of now there's nothing we can do about it.  It's a good house, so please contact me if you think you can help promote it anywhere.

A good way to advertise this, Ivey, would be to post around housing websites. Happy/Smile You might get lucky there.

Yeah, the more you advertise, the more awareness people are to a house on the market.  Our house sold instantly once it was put on the market, which wasn't good for us, but would be for you.  There's nothing I can do on my end but keep my fingers crossed for you and your family.  Happy/Smile

Saa... that is sad the misfortunate you've had selling that house, Ivey.

This thought did occur to me though... could you try renting out the house to anyone who wants something short term (like for 3 to 6 months, or whatever)?  That way, the people renting it can help at least pay for it's mortgage and stuff.  Dunno if there is a college near that area though.. but college kids are always liking the idea of renting a house of their own, instead of living in those cramped dorm rooms.

But if you don't want to do that, then I agree that adverttising the slag out of that place is the best way to go.  Put up the ad anywhere you can, on the internet, in the grocery store, etc.etc.  Sounds like you're not using a realistate co though, cause they prolly want money to help you sell it.
