Well went to the doctors today. They asked me questions, looked at my hand, ect... Here's the lay down - Because it's been over the year they want me to have the trail run with the device again... ugh... so they wanted me to get blood tests done (already did that this morning) and than they're going to call me and set up a date for the trail unit. - Trail unit I only get the relief for one week...  Than it's removed and I'll have to wait at least a month before the real surgery Personally I think I don't need the trail again... I've been there, done that... but that's what the doc wants to do. I just remember the pain it was to sleep with that thing. And the panic my mom had about a wire hanging out the back of my neck.... yeah... not really all that fun Oh well.. I'll keep updated when I find out the date for the trail unit to be put in. |

Going in for the test surgery today, excited... will most likely be sleeping a lot today  But will give updates through the week on how everything is going. |

Well first part of the test surgery is done... this will be removed on Friday...
I liked the last time I got a test surgery more... I don't remember my back being in this much pain... arm can give high fives and such... but man does my back and neck hurt.
Will be spending a lot of time resting this week, can't do much with my back like this.

A year later and I come forward with updates....
They're once again calling me about surgery stuff. Going through all the appointments now to try and get this going. Hopefully I get my surgery this time.
Next Doctor appointment Wednesday 2:20pm.

That's [censored] bureacracy for you. They act like they care, 'till time comes to pay up, then they tighten up faster than a few more things I can't type on this forum.

There's a 3 page letter I get to read when I get home next week... it's going to be full of bull **** than I get to call them and say "NO F****** way do a I agree with any of this ****, your orders are to pay for things done for my arm, this is for my arm. You're not the ones in ******** pain, I went through your process and each doctor I saw said I need this surgery. If you make me take you to court I'm sueing for lawyer fees and court fees, on top of getting my surgery. And if my lawyer says I can, I'm going to sue for more just because of the stress and extra pain that you bas**** are putting me through!"

Jokes aside about lawyer hunting, damn that sucks, Ivey. That's such a big pile of [censored], I can smell it from here like a barnyard in summer. Your doctors, multiple ones, say you need this surgery, which means they've CONFIRMED how much you're in pain and how badly this injury has affected you. That means those [censored] need to cough up the cash and pay to get it fixed so you can get on with your life.
Employers, government agents, Hutts....they're sympathetic 'till it's time to pay up. Then they leave you with bags of [censored] to hold and you're screwed and on your own.
Call your own lawyer and give them the hell they deserve.

I'm just going to have to wait till I'm in Michigan...
Though if I have to take them to court I'm sueing for:
My surgery
Court & Lawyer Fees
Pain & Suffering
I feel that I should of had this surgery YEARS ago, there for I should be able to get pain & suffering. For the past 7 years, I have to wear a coat when it's over 100 Degrees because of wind, I can't ride a bike, I can't go swimming, I can't take showers, I can't shake hands with my right hand, I can't windows down in cars, I can't give high fives, I can't lift what I use to be able to lift, I've gained a lot of weight from not being able to work out, I haven't been able to follow any career dreams because of pain problems, I can't give normal hugs, I can't ride in a car or plane without pain. Just everyday, there's pain. Every minute of the day I'm dealing with something. My arm hurts like HELL, true I've been dealing with it... but I've been managing to deal with it by cutting out over half the stuff I love to do! And that is NOT living.
So yes, if they're going to force me to bring them to court... I'm going to take them for what ever I can get. If they give me the surgery without court, I won't go after pain & suffering. Be better for them if they just break down and give me what I need. That's their job.
Though don't want to focus to hard on this for the next week, it just pisses me off all the more. I'll be back in Michigan on the 15th. That's when things will hit the fan.

Even though you didn't post your latest update here, I'll reply here. Can't reply in the thread where you posted the update.... Good luck with WC...hopefully it will work out. Nice to have some folks on your side that might be able to help things move in the right direction. |
