Oh. I've never heard of it - probably 'cause I don't get VH1 - so, not only did I miss out on TMNT, but BSB as well. Grr.

Hiya, welcome to TMNT-L...
Pay for the VH1 Show???! Why? Tis not worth money really, it's short and it lies.. it's funny to laugh at, but really... Since it's not for sale anywhere, maybe you could get a file of it. It's short, so I don't think it'd be that big of a file. Not sure where to find that stuff though.

I thought the highlight of that bit was when your brother was making fun of you for "HAVING THE HEAD OF LEONARDO!" OMG, he just had this maniacal look on his face.

Since Totally Obessed already has a topic, I figured I'd use it instead of starting a new topic.
You know, it's been two years since that show was on the air. And really, I thought it'd be long forgottan. Though even at NYC Comic Con, and other conventions and such people notice me and remember the show. Well at first when the show aired, it happened all the time here in Michigan. Going in stores, going out to eat... even going to my own lawyer office... people knew me from VH1.
Well now it happens more when I leave town than here in town. And I'm surprise it still happens at all. This weekend though, was the first time in a long time anyone brought it up to me around here... and not only one person... but two different people at two different days.
Yesterday at a yard sale the guy having the sale saw me on TV and had to mention it. When I was buying a cat toy for SW's cat from him. Though today... what can I say about today....
I was out to eat with SW, at a place I've now only been to twice... and someone called out my first and last name, that got me to look up.
"I saw you on VH1" He said all excited, and complented me. I nodded a Thanks to him, than he asked if I remembered him... mentioning that he was in my 5th grade class.... he gave me his name... I said sorry no, I don't remember to many people from those days. Than he mentioned he sat behind me in that class.
Here's what I remember of my 5th grade class, the fights were getting worse at school. If a sub was there, the janitor was pulling me out of the room with black eye, bloody nose or a fat lip. Walking from class to class I would get kicked in the back fo my head, oh and that when I was in a normal desk the kids behind me harased me so much that the teacher put me at the back table so no one would be behind me to attack me.
5th grade was the worse year for me in school, and was the reason my mom switched schools for 6th grade with me, and for 7th grade she got me into Karate since I was going into Jr. High with the same people who picked on me KG-5th.
So no I don't have any memories of this person that I met today, and I'm betting they were blocked out for reasons.... though it seems very weird to have someone who I have no dout didn't care for me in school, totally excited about seeing me now. It's not like I got up to talk with him or anything, after he mentioned that he was on his way. Though it just felt very odd.... I'm not a fan of my days at Wilson School...

*sigh* Oh Ivey...you have no idea how much I hurt for you when I hear these stories. It's good that you don't remember them, they were prolly a real jerk to you back then and were only happy to see you now because you were "famous" on tv. I just....god.....*hugs*

I think the strongest times those stories ever got to me were when Ivey told them right in person when she visited my mom and I last winter, because I saw that look of shame in her eyes and it's the same feeling I get when I think of all the pain people caused me back when I was a kid.

*blink* Shame? True I'm not really proud of those years, though I learned a lot of lessons in life... and I had a great home life. School was just one of those things that didn't go over to well for me. Though I have nothing to be ashamed of, it's not like I was going around attacking and hurting others. As much pain as I was going around, there was always a balance of good going on in my life that out weighted what was done at school. I learned of TMNT that year, and read my first book (TMNT 1 movie novel). And I still had all of the family members I was very close to alive. There was always something to be happy about when at home... and at school I normally could find a quiet area behind the teachers where I could sit and draw. This was also the year that I started to fight back at school (which is why I think the fights got worse, the kids didn't want me to think that I could stand up for myself). I found bumping into that kid from my class yesterday, and the way he reacted to be funny.. since all the kids my class looked down at me back than. I can't remember one friendly face besides for the teacher. I shared the story because that was different... not for people to feel bad for me about it. Those days are long gone and over with. True, I'll never forget them. Though you know what they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

We don't get VH1 here (although, we do get Much More Music, which airs almost all VH1 shows - hasn't done Obsessed yet, though). If VH1 is anything like "VH1 North", I'd be surprised if the show hasn't been shown at least 100 times by now. That's probably how people keep recognizing ya, Mikey.

Once again waking up this old topic, since I wrote about that time the kid from 5th grade known me, a lot more has happened with people knowing who I am... and I do mean a lot more. When I went cross country people in every city of each state we went to knew who I was.... it was amazing to see just how much this dumb show is known. Though at the same time, it's spreading lies about me so I started up Cowabunga Corner... which is the " Ivey's Video Blog" topic. Though I felt this topic could be woken up to discuss my newest adventures with this. Since I started up the video blog I've been wanting to do an episode to show just what happened while VH1 was at my house, and sure enough that is what is being uploaded this Tuesday! Video footage from day 1 of filming, over a half hour of footage. There's a short write up about this on Keeter's myspace blog for anyone interested. http://www.myspace.com/tmntcon/blog/541890722And I'll post the video straight to this topic on Tuesday after it's uploaded.

Such a crazy day! 5 am, didn't get home 'till midnight or after, and it's still one of the best birthdays I ever had! lmao, and seeing myself in this clip, dang, I look so short on camera! Glad to see I'm not the only one with suspicions as to why my interview was absent. When I saw the show, I figured that my interview was missing because I wasn't falling for their tricks and refused to speak ill of you or make you look crazy. The one scene I did see myself in, I was really irritated with 'cause they cut from the spar you were doing with Brian when we arrived, to the "wth?" look on my face when your mom and Shads pulled up with my cake. After saying hi and having been told that I wasn't due to be on camera 'till I think 3 or 4, I was just trying to stay out of the way of the crew because I thought they were still filming you. When I saw that slick editing cut, it ticked me off. Made it look like I thought you were a weirdo when it was actually my wondering what was going on when the birthday cake was brought out. Still had a blast doing the shoot, though, crazy as it was.
