Heh.. I don't have any skin allergies (thankfully!), but I do get dry skin a lot. I think that's becuase I don't drink lots of water, so my skin tends to get dry faster in the winter. But as long as I use moisturing soap (like Dove), and lotion up my entire body after the shower, I'm fine. My fav body lotion is Vaseline Intensive Care, in the white bottle.
My husband.. however, he gets so many rashes from stuff, it's shocking!

The first thing I learned about him was that he's allergic to most metals. He can only wear gold, for certain. But if he gets a pair of jeans, he has to either cover the metal button with tape, or remove that and sew in a plastic button. The metal there would put a nasty rash on his stomach if he doesn't do anything. (my husband will prolly hate me if he knew I was talking about him like this.. *heh*)
Then a few years ago, he wanted to try his hand at being a sushi chef. That started out with good promise, until this strange rash borke out all over his fingers/hands. It even spread down to his toes and a few other areas too, and he lost almost all the nails on his fingers. Turns out he developed a bad case of weeping psorisis! He had to quit his sushi job, and the chance of ever pursuing that as a career too. Took nearly forever for the rashon his hands and feet to clear up, and for all his nails to grown back in.

Then this summer, he had another break-out of some kind of rash. Had thought it was a bad sweat rash, since it occured on his armpits, elbows and knees... where he sweated alot. It didn't go away when the weather cooled off though. Finally went to the dermatologist again, and she confirmed this was inverse psorsis. She explained that once he contracts psorsis... it's something that will be with him indefinitely. Usually things like stress and certain irritants like soap and dry skin make it break out again. So I decided all the stress he was also coping with earlier this summer/fall made it break out. That, and we were using a soap that didn't have any moisterizers. So after we switched back to Dove, and I got a bottle of Aveeno oatmeal lotion for him to use instead... that helped clear up the red rashes finally. Oy...
