Merry Christmas everyone!

Please share what you're doing for this Holiday!  If you got cool presents, had a great meal, or just enjoyed a relaxing day at home.  We want to hear about it!

Share stories, pictures, and if you put up video on youtube feel free to share that here as well! Happy/Smile

For Christmas I'll be spending it with the family, my mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law, two nephews and a niece.  The morning will be at our house opening presents with the kids, than for dinner we're going to my Great Aunt's house.   Looking forward to a fun day.

Hope everyone else who takes part in Christmas is looking forward to a wonderful day!

Hi everyone!

For Christmas I got a TMNT Banner, which is bigger than I thought it was when seeing it for sale at the stores.  A TMNT Diaper Bag, hehe won't be using it for diapers it's a nice size bag for traveling with though.  A TMNT Shirt, always can use more of those Wink  A laptop fan, my last one wore out... and a Toaster Oven, almost got a full kitchen up here.  Need a sink Wink

Over all a good Christmas!  Best part of Christmas though was watching my family open their gifts.. when Penny saw her baby doll that I got her, she was digging at the plastic to get through to it.  Hehehe so cute!  She got a lot of really nice things, so did both Edgrr and Trevor.  I know they were very happy with Christmas this year.   I got my dad a Blu-ray player.  Soon he'll learn why it's good to upgrade to blu-ray hehe

Anyone got fun stories about gifts they got someone else?   Here's a story I would like to share...

When putting my list together I wanted to think of something great for mom, that she hasn't asked for.  So I thought of a paper Shredder, I know she wanted to find our old ones but for months now we haven't found them.  Thinking I was being clever I went out on the hunt for a paper shredder.  Went to Office Max they wanted over $100 for any good ones they had!  I about died... so we left without any, than looked over and saw Big Lots in the parking lot... I laughed and said for us to check there, they might have one.  I didn't think they really would... but to my surprise they had a nice one for about $50!   So I picked that up, came home and wrapped it.

That night I kind of teased my mom.  "I got you something that you really want!"  My mom just looked at me and said "Talk to your dad about what you got me, make sure you two don't get me the same thing."   I laughed to myself, no way would dad be thinking about getting her one of these.  So I went upstairs and called my dad to talk to him (he was in a room with my gifts that were not wrapped so I couldn't go back to see him), told him what I got mom and to my surprise he was planning to get her a paper shredder too!!!!!    He even went to Office max looking got discourage by the prices there like I did, he tried another office store, again bad prices and went to Big Lots... though he didn't ask anyone if they had paper shredders (I asked, which is the only way I found it)... so h e didn't find any and left.  He was shocked to hear I already got one and wrapped it.

So last night I'm teasing my mom again "I gotta go up stairs and get your gift to put under the tree, it's a heavy one" and she goes "I know what it is, it's a paper Shredder!"  and I blink... I was able to play it off that I did not get her one.  But it just floored me that she guessed!!!  I really did think I was getting something that would totally surprise her... and here both her and my dad were on the same thoughts as I was for her main Christmas gift.

She was really happy today to get her paper shredder *G*

If you got a fun story, please do share it!

Its been a good christmas overall. The gifts were nothing spectacular this year or anything and all the family couldn't be together ths year because of some internal disputes. But those who did get together, seemed happy with everything.

Hubby is hoping we don't get snowed in, so that we can travel back to our home tomorrow. Though the weather is playing tricks with him. One minute saying 8" of snow... the next is 1"-2"... then 4-6"... and currently 2-3". But he is quite happy right now with what we got him... a Star Wars video game, a programmer joke t-shirt, a super nice toothbrush from his dentist brother, the Sherlock Holmes DVD set, a new coat, Mythbusters board game, a car dock for his cell phone, and two tickets to Spam-A-Lot. He was super surprised with the tickets I got him. Very Happy/Big Grin

I ended up getting the Doctor Who 11-figures box, a Dalek, the Doctor Who Season 5 box set, a Wii game, accessories for my netbook, a pair of shoes and $200. Hubby and I also got a steamer and a $75 gift card as combined gifts.

Now its time to head up to my parents again for xmas dinner and to deal with the new puppy who definitely is a Little Terror.

Merry Happy, all!

Christmas was in three phases for me, as usual.

Phase 1: Annual celebration with friends...well, now it's down to friend, as most of the old gang has moved away, but we celebrated nonetheless.  Got a fairy figurine, a dragon t-shirt, a skeleton ornament and chocolate (gave chocolates, vampire tea, two Living Dead Dolls & a calendar).  Dinner was a bit of a mess. We'd planned to order in Chinese food, as we've done for the past few years. 1.5-2 hour wait! Scratch that, we got food from Boston Pizza (delicious, but when you want Chinese, not a great substitute). Was supposed to pick up supper for the folks too, but Swiss Chalet closed at 4:00pm this year.

Phase 2: Parental celebration. Marred by a slight meltdown on my part at the beginning, in the end, it went well.  Got chocolates, a Yellow Submarine ornament and ca$h. Gave...too much stuff, I tend to go overboard with the spending. Highlights were the calendars I'd made (annual thing, I make calendars for most of the folks on my shopping list - this year were historical churches, historical local pics & 3 calendars of my photogenic Bomgorfic cat).

Phase 3: Celebration with brother & family. Awesome dinner made by my bro (maaan, that dude can COOK), then presents. Got a lot of little things, including my sis-in-law's awwwesome homemade almond bark, a nice sweater & slacks, gave video games, calendars, candy, ca$h, DVDs, a sweater... and gift certificates to various restaurants.

Got home around 8:30, got online around 10:30 and crashed.
