Sorry and back to work

Hiya everyone,

I wanted to say sorry I've been so out of it lately.  There's been a lot going on at home and really, it's to the point where I just am not feeling up to doing much.  Stress and even a bit of depression, though taking a bit of a break from it and now hoping to get caught up on things. 

So first of all working on fixing up TMNT-L's member list.  I am going through all of the members on TMNT-L who has 0 posts.  IF that users has a URL that looks like a spammer in any way, they will be removed.  We have a lot of inactive members here who are not real, and our flame pit has been showing it. 

Second, to slow down on spammers we'll be doing what we did before, where all members who wish to be made active users will have to go through the mods.  Until we can get around to fixing up the forum to the updated spam protection.

Third project I'm going to work on is getting a newsletter together to send out for the new year.  There won't be any TMNT-L Awards this year.  Though it will reach out to more people about what's going on around here. 

I'll also be going through and seeing if any areas on here can be fixed up or put into order, if fast searches need to be updated and get some fresh polls going for everyone.  I know I've been slacking around here... but I hope to at least catch up a little bit, and I really am sorry.

First clean out of the member list is done, brought us from over 1000 members down to 800, by going through and removing all accounts that had 0 posts and spam URLs in their website option.  Still gotta go through and check for sigs. 

All accounts that have registered and have not been made active has been sent a reminder email that they tried to apply for account here.  If they don't make some kind of movement to get their account active within by Monday those accounts will also be removed.  This will help clean up the member list a bit more.

Hoping to help wake up more topics here on the forum, I know we're not getting much new of Turtles.  But if anyone sees something they enjoyed and haven't reviewed yet please do take part and help wake this forum up a little more.

Happy joy joy the member list is really cleaned up nicely right now, with under 700 members, by Monday we'll be under 600 as over 100 of those accounts have not been made active.  They will be removed if they don't make themselves active, and did get an email notice saying that we were doing this.

Still working on a few other things for the forum.  Tuesday the new Trivia topic will start up with the 4 starter questions for 2011.

Any new users joining the forum, please note that you will receive an email for you to answer the two easy TMNT questions within and send back that email as verification.  It is the only way of becoming an active member of the forum right now.
