Review San D Comic Con 2011

Hey everyone,

Just did the four days at Comic Con and figured I'd start a topic for us all to share our memories and photos, even video if you're posting any.  May take a little for me to get it all written up, in the mean time if you went to Comic Con please join in and share what adventures you took part in.

Wednesday Review:

Wednesday was the day of travel, we got up early and got ready to go.  While trying to get ready to go I was also doing some transfers to get the recent Cowabunga Corner News approved to be posted.  So it was a bit of a panic trying to make sure everything was done and getting to the bus station in time.  We got there to find a huge line for our train, once in line we were lucky to get seats close to each other... 

Miki and I watched a few episodes of The Big Bang Theory on our ride.  Once we got close we packed up our stuff and caught a trolley, then a bus to our hotel.  The hotel gave us some unexpected trouble which got sorted out so we could check into our room.  After checking in, Miki and I decided to go and get our San D passes.  There was a pick up spot on hotel away from us, so we walked over there.  The line was long, though a guy went through asking for handy cap people... which I raised my hand for.  So we were sent to a shorter line.  We got our badges, and bags.  I got Batman and Miki got Fringe.  Miki wanted her fringe bag, I personally wanted Thundercats or "The Big Bang Theory" so I was disappointed with Batman, determined to trade.

We went back to our hotel room, went through some stuff then headed to the down town area to check out what's there.  Which is when we first saw the Giant Smurf!  Right at our bus stop this Smurf was HUGE!  We got a few photos, then walked around a little.  Meeting up with some friends we met on the train trip here, we went out and got some food.  Finding this Mexican place with ok prices to eat... and filling.

Though after eating we bumped into a problem... the bus!  It stopped running at 10 that night... we had to beg a bus driver to give this last group of people a ride who missed the last bus... lucky for us there was a few other people there including some with children.  So the lady was nice and gave us a ride back.  The rest of the weekend the bus ended late at night so we wouldn't come close to missing the bus again.

With one day down... the convention was about to start and many new adventures waited for us around the corner.
