Hey everyone,
A new poll for us to bounce around with. April's Yellow Jumpsuit is one of the trademarks of the original cartoon version of April. Though there's fans that hate it and love it. So we want to know your thoughts and why?
So please reply and share why you choose what you pick on this poll!

Distinctive or not, I cannot imagine why anyone would think that a yellow jumpsuit was good look to go for, even in an an animated character.
Jumpsuits are so annoying to wear...

I so agree bro, and I personally never liked the color yellow. So a jumpsuit and it being yellow... ugh.... I was so glad when the movie came out and she was not wearing that.

I loved it. One of my favorite things about the turtles in both the cartoons and movies were the colors. I love the green they used for the turtles in the animated series. It is so vibrant and it just grabs you. The same goes with the jumpsuit.

Yea I really liked the jumpsuit too. I also think it really was indictative of the time frame in which TMNT came out too. Jumpsuits used to be big, you know? lol I'll admit it was goofy, but I think that's why I loved it.

Haven't looked at this topic in awhile. It seems more people were not into the yellow jumpsuit. Though we got people saying she could of done better, including myself... really didn't like that jumpsuit... it's interesting to see how many people cosplay her in the yellow jumpsuit all the time. I've never seen a cosplayer dress up like April from TMNT 1, 2 or 3. I've seen a few cosplayers do April from the 4Kids series... though most April cosplayers are in yellow. If you were to cosplay April, which April would you cosplay? I'd have to go with April from TMNT 1. Heh and guys can't use the excuse that they're guys and April's a girl... check out this video *G* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emb2IHuLneo

I never liked the yellow jumpsuit thing at all...I think people just tend to do it cuz as it's been said, you would recognize right away, "Oh that must be April from the first TMNT cartoon series!" I personally liked the looks of the 4Kids series April, especially the color of her hair...but that's just me!

I'm with Crittles on this one. It's not that people like the look of the yellow jumpsuit, it's just the most recognizable look for April. If you see someone in the jumpsuit, even if there are no Turtles around, you'll know who they're trying to be. If you were to go as any other incarnation, unless you were hanging out with Turtles, Splinter, Shredder...someone recognizable from the show/movie...you're going to spend most of your time saying "I'm April from...". And most people will probably respond with "Where's the yellow jumpsuit". For that reason, I would never cosplay April - there is no way I would put on a yellow jumpsuit. Trust me, it's for the benefit of everyone. It'd be like cosplaying as Fonzie and wearing a light blue cotton jacket - yes, he wore it during one season (when the network deemed the leather jacket to be too ganglike) but everyone knows him for wearing the leather jacket.

I chose "She could have done better." I just didn't like that jumpsuit. If I were to cosplay as April, I'd go with 4Kids April or April from one of the movies.

It's definitely iconic. Could she have done better? Maybe. I see her with a closet full of those suits, haha.

I love it, but really just as a piece of 80s absurdism. It's iconic and ridiculous and it gives her something distinctive to wear.
I prefer just about every other design she's ever had though. She could have done better.

It complimented her 'contours' so to speak. Great design that most people probably remember April for.
