Time for a New Rant

Been a bit since we had a rant going on in here, so let's see... what to rant about?

-  Gas... na we did that one...
-  Money... we do that a lot, but it's so easy to rant about
-  Other websites... oy stupid reason to rant, don't like something.. than don't go there...
-  Government... hmmm this is an easy topic that people rant about all the time....
-  No news on the fifth Turtle movie being in production.. na, that can stay in the movie section...

ok, I'm going to go on a bit of a mixture of Government and Money....

In the USA there's talk about taking SSI away from the people.  And not a 'we'll work this out by making sure everyone who does get SSI can be helped into some sort of other money area, like a small easy job thing started up just to help those people'  no it's a 'Your check might not show up' threat!

This here is total BS!

Yes there's a lot of people living off of SSI right now.  Mainly because jobs have disappeared, they're disabled, or some other important reason.  SSI has helped people from starving, going homeless, loosing their families because of money.  It's important and if the Government think taking away will solve any of our problems here in the USA they're wrong!  It will make things worse!

The public will go into a full blown depression as more people will wind up homeless.  More people will die from starvation, more people will loose their children to the state, foster homes will fill up, and there will be no end to the lost that will happen.  And once it's done, it'd be harder and more expensive to fix!  Over all this is the worse idea I've ever heard of.  I was around countless of people at the end of July, who feared their income may not be in... rent wouldn't be paid, food wouldn't be bought, they'd loose everything.  And why?  Because the Government is trying to find away to solve a problem they got themselves into.

I got an idea, if they need money why not set all Government workers down to minimum wage?  The money that use to be in their checks will go back towards paying the dept.  The people in the Government will find out how the minimum wage people live and might be able to start seeing better solutions in helping the poor people in the country.  Over all it would be a growth for our country for those in control to understand the people who live pay check to pay check.

Ranting right along with you, there.

Well, taking money away from people who cannot work or are unable to find work simply causes them to cease to be consumers. Which make the local economies worse. Then you have a lot of people in dire straits, and it is up to churches and overburdened charities to help them out.
You are also more likely to have people living in tent cities, which nobody wants because of the "not in my back yard" mentality, and people are more likely to steal and rob one another out of desperation and frustration, and if anything like what happened in London becomes the M.O. in cities in the states, the police are going to have their hands full.
Why the government doesn't learn from the past is beyond me, none of it makes sense to me any more, either. Poor people are not going to magically get jobs when their resources dry up. Those on aid who are able to work are already working, and those who are able to find jobs already have jobs. Those who don't have to fend for themselves, right? Yeah. Sure. Lets throw them into work camps, orphanages and prisons. Which will cost the state and feds even more money in the long run.
