Hey everyone,

This topic is asking what people think of changes to websites.  Some of the biggest websites change so much that things people like are taken way as other things are supposedly fixed.  So the question is how do you personally feel about this?

Through the years Myspace and Facebook have been two of the biggest sites that I see changes through.  And the changes just keep getting worse.  Facebook has changed their chat program, took away the filters on their walls, and so much more.  Myspace has just changed everything there was about it for the most part to where they wanted you to redo your full profile.

Now upgrading to keep up with the times is very cool, like Facebook changing it so it has refresh to show when someone posts, that works with it.  It's a change that makes sense and works with what they already are doing.  It doesn't take anything away.  So not all changes are counted here, it's the redesigns that occurs and you don't get the choice to remain with the old setup.

Let us know why you pick the option you choose in this poll, and tell us a little about what you like or don't like of a website that went through some heavy changes that you go to.

Don't use MySpace or Facebook, but there's a couple other sites I use that do this that make it irritating more than helpful.

I do like some upgrades that make a site better and easier to navigate, but design changes every few months to stay "with it" irritate me. Just when I've worked out the quirks of the previous version to get my stuff to look the way I want it, I have to relearn it all over again and figure out how to get my settings back the way I want. It's less the change and more the absolute FREQUENCY of it.

Once I get something the way I like it, I hate having to go back and reset things or double check to make sure they stayed the way I had them every time I turn around because some website or another decided it just wasn't good enough to leave it for a reasonable time longer.

The other thing I don't like about these little upgrades are the numerous "extras" they add with each change that are free and new and "in" and probably used by every other person on the planet, but have absolutely zero value to me whatsoever. I either have to deal with having them there, or hunt around while I'm ensuring that my settings are in place to find out where I have to turn the darn things off at.

Yahoo Mail did this to me recently, and I had to go through every last account I had to get my settings in place, and turn off all the useless little programs I didn't need.
