Doesn't sound right to say "Happy Remembrance Day" or "Happy Veteran's Day", like one would say Happy Christmas or Happy Hallowe'en.


But it's still a day to take notice of, just the same, even if we don't really decorate our homes, or buy presents, or give out candy.


Today, we honour & remember those who have fought for the rights and freedoms of all of us.  It's not about whether you agree or disagree with a particular war or conflict, this is about the men & women who have fought and, in some cases, given their lives, so that the rest of us can sit back on our butts and read about mutant turtles on a computer, or what have you.


So, take a moment and give thanks that these brave people chose to spend their time doing what they do...because, without them, you might not be doing what you're doing.

I agree that this is a special day for everyone. Happy Veteran's Day for those in the U.S. and Happy Rememberance Day for those celebrating that.
