I know I'm 29 years old, and I recenlty took up another one of my favorite childhood classics.  Looney Tunes.  Now we all grew up with Bugs Bunny "Eh, what's up doc?" Daffy Duck and all those reconizeable Warner Brother characters.  We all, just like TMNT, have our own personal favorite character.  Which is yours?

My favorite is and is always Bugs Bunny.  I love rabbits, I love gray and white mix, I like his cleaverness, I like how always outsmarts his advasaries.  Even though Bugs Bunny isn't the first Looney Tunes character from Warner Brothers, he became the star character.

Technically, mine is a pair - always loved the Wile E Coyote/Road Runner cartoons as a kid, and I still do. Bugs is a close second.

To be honest, there are only a few characters that I'm not fond of and, really, only one that I wish Sylvester would have been able to deal with...yes, I'm talking about that irritating yellow abomination, Tweety.

Ummm... hello... TAZ!!!!

But from the list, I picked Daffy "Rabbit Season" Duck.

Also, has anyone caught the new The Looney Tunes Show? I bouncing around the channel guide one day and I saw it. Decided to check it out. Man, it was weird. The show is more like an animated sitcom than how I remember Looney Tunes. Apparently Bugs and Daffy live together in the show. I didn't watch it for too long because it got to a part where Bugs and Porky are having lunch in an Applebees-like place and they are chit-chatting. I think they were talking about Daffy's girlfriend. I couldn't stand it anymore. No antics, no slapstick, not funny or entertaining.

There is still a Wile E. Coyote vs Road Runner segment but it is computer animated and just doesn't feel "right".

I've only seen the new show in passing and nothing about it really caught my eye.

Still, is it worse than Baby Looney Tunes?  Didn't care for that one, at all.

Ah, sorry...Penelope Pussycat is the kitty that often gets paint on her that makes her look like a skunk and so Pepe chases her, and Pussyfoot is the adorable little kitten with big blue eyes that the big brown bulldog named Marc Antony (I think that's his name) is always trying to protect/keep out of trouble (similiar to a Buttons and Mindy from Animaniacs kinda thing). Happy/Smile

I've always been a fan of Tweety Bird. I just always thought he was cute.

I didn't even know that cat even had a name.

Another Looney Tunes character I found cute is this little penguin with a scarf and top hat.  Bugs Bunny maybe mean to him, but he's so cute.  He cries ice cubes.  Makes you want to go "awww..."

You know who I blame for why this new Looney Tune Show drival?  Young modern writers.  These young writers I believe are just turning great memorable classic characters and making them more like our modern every day life.  Bugs and Daffy are male roommates, but since when did Daffy stop trying to outsmart Bugs and become his best friend.  Yosimite Sam lives in the neighborhood instead of being and outcast of the West.  I haven't seen Sylvester or Tweety.  The animation is cheaply drawn.  I believe that Mel Blanc is the only guy who can really do those voices better than anyone.

This is just a prediction, but I predict that this new Ninja Turtles TV series for Nickelodeon next year is going to be the samething that they did to Looney Tunes.  I wouldn't be surprised if they make the turtles gay on drugs; make the turtles eat healthy vegitables instead of gross pizza; make Shredder hideout in a hip nightclub; make April look like something out of Penthouse.  It's these young modern writers who don't understand good history; they are definatley ruining our favorite classic characters.  No doubt about that.

Yeah, I agree. I think that they've ruined a classic from what I've read of those who have seen it. It'll never be the same as the original.

As for the new Turtles show, only time will tell. However, if they make April sixteen, it's going to be horrible.
