Not that I ever left...or did I? Nah, maybe it was more that I was just quiet for a really...long...time. ANYway...sorry for the long silence, alots been going on in my life and I thought I'd update everyone!! Some stuff you may already know, some not....bear with me, I forget what I've said and what I haven't and so on. So...here we go!

If you didn't already know, I met someone who lived in IL, thanks to the interweb. He tried moving out to MD with me, but the cost of living is crazy out there, unless you have a good job. Myself only working in retail my whole life...couldn't do it. BUT he already had his own house back in IL, so we moved there. I've been out here in IL for about a year now, and it's been interesting, having only known my little country area back in MD where it was 20 minutes to anywhere, and now living in a city (Peoria), and without any of my family. I get homesick sometimes, but I'm getting used to it.

As of September 16th, after dating this fella for 2 years and actually living with him for a little over 1 year, we were married. That's right, I'm married now! Wink I get so many people going oh how does it feel, are you happy do you feel different?! Of course I'm happy, if I wasn't happy I wouldn't have done it in the first place, and no I don't feel any different...I mean, is signing a few papers after saying words to each other we pretty much say every day supposed to make you feel different? (Not that we say VOWS to each other, but general words that are toned down versions imo lol) Nah, I don't think so but...that's just me, simple, basic, whatever kinda gal heh.

I work at the local Bed Bath and Beyond now, and just got offered a management position that I will start training for in January, which is exciting for me because I feel like I've been working retail FOREVER and haven't gotten ANYWHERE with it...and I feel like I should considering how much experience I have with it and all...and finally someone sees that! I feel like I'm finally worth something, that someone has finally noticed me standing up waving my arm around going PICK ME PICK ME I CAN DO THIS PLEASE PICK ME!! lol So, that's something new and awesome for me. Happy/Smile

So, that's what's been going on with my life since the last time I was around here. Sorry if I told some info that was already shared, my memory kinda sucks lol. THE MORE YOU KNOW!! Wink

Hey! Welcome Back!

Glad to hear you are all settled down in IL. Congrats on getting the management position! It'll be a lot more work, but the experience alone is well worth it. (Not to mention the extra money hopefully *G*)

And, we share an anniversary date! lol Married my hubby after two years. Things didn't change too much for us either, but we had lived together for almost as long as we dated. Some things will change... like one of you doing all of the paperwork that you both had to do at one time. *shakes fist at hubby*

Welcome back CriticalCrittles!

But I guess I should really say... Me too!

I've been quiet around here for far too long as well but always in the background trying to keep the place from falling apart.

Congrats on the marriage and the new opportunity in your job!

Thanks guys! Happy/Smile Yeah, lotta paper work to get things all official and stuff, plus since the photographer had a family emergency, there was a delay getting our pics but we saw them and picked out the ones we want, now we just have to get back to him to get the prints we need....and I'll have my pics like 3 months after the wedding lol, but whatever it's cool I'm an understanding person.

I will say this...although I'm happy about the new promotion, this time of year I sometimes come home saying I HATE THIS JOB, UGH! lol But, it'll all go away mid-January after the holidays are over and all the returns/exchanges have been done afterwards! Happy/Smile

Five years later, and i still havent gotten my official wedding pictures. Our photographer just disappeared and we never heard from him again. At least we hadnt paid him.

I can completely understand hating to work during xmas. *shudder*

Oh for awhile now...they're Venture Bros tattoos. I got my first one shortly after the series started (in 2003 I believe) , the second about a year after that and the 3rd/4th maybe about a year and a half or 2 years after that.
