Didn't know where else was appropriate to relay this mess 'cept here. Razz

Try as I might, I have been AWOL from here again in spite of my best efforts. We're still working on the move(which will be done at the end of the month) and I've still had health problems. It has just been one thing after another with craziness.

1. The farm mess is thankfully all done with. Dad may have lost that farm, but he was able to get his crops off there and machinery back home, and picked up another field to help offset the losses, so it all turned out good in the end.

2. The harvest work is all done as well. Despite the heavy rains and panic over the planting, THAT turned out well and got done by the end of October.

3. Moving. We've been working on that all year with various hiccups along the way setting us back. Those hiccups haven't really stopped, but we're giving them the finger and continuing in spite of them because we gave our notice to the landlord at the end of the month and MUST be gone by the end of the year. As good a time as any, and that leaves us currently with about a week and a half to get cleared out while working around Christmas and having to have time to do the usual sweep through with the manager at the end to make sure it's all clean.

We've enlisted a couple of friends from the area to help out. I've been panicking and stressed with worry that we're not going to be able to get out on time and I don't know how to go about getting an extension or if they'd even give us one. I'm hoping that I'm just overwhelmed and that once we get all these darn boxes out, I'll see just how much we HAVE managed to get done and out and finally calm down enough to finish. *sigh*

4. Health problems. These would be the "hiccups" mentioned. I've had at least THREE sinus infections this year due to the dryness of the air and all the dust stirred up. I thought I had a FOURTH this last weekend overnight Thursday into Friday and was in so much pain, I went to the ER because it wasn't going away and I was sick and tired of dealing with constant facial pain every time I breathed in a little bit of dust.

The doctor gave me a shot and some pain meds and sent me home. I went back the next morning because the pain meds were BARELY taking care of it. I also had to take three Advil on top of it, just to get it that far. So I went back in, exhausted, no sleep, still hurting, and the doctor said that he wanted to do a CAT scan to ensure it was an infection and not something else wrong I didn't know about. Went ahead and did that because my regular doctor would've done the same thing if I had manage to make it to morning to go in and see her.

Wasn't an infection. They think it's a cyst or polyp, so I spent the weekend tired, sleeping, and hopped up on pain meds until the swelling and pain went away. Didn't help the need to move, but I managed to put together a few more boxes anyways once the pain was sufficiently gone enough for me to do anything more than sleep.

Saw my regular doctor yesterday and am getting set up to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist to see what the heck's going on since this isn't an infection. Don't know if I'll have to have minor surgery to remove the cyst/polyp or not. That's what the specialist's going to be for, and a probable MRI. They're pretty sure of what it is, but they want to ensure that something else isn't out of place in the jaw/sinus area. They'd hate to remove a cyst that was harmless and go to the trouble to not fix the situation. *sigh*

So that's what's been keeping me away. Constant sinus problems and a move that's coming down to the wire. I'll probably be trying to get a few more boxes wrapped up today before Mom comes and we start taking carloads out to the farm. I'll have internet access until the end of the month, but don't know when I'll have it up again at the farm. Mom and Dad have it at their place already and it's set up for us, just to actually hook us in. Have to call THAT particular company about that, among others.

Can't wait for the new year. I'm already quite sick of 2011. Razz

Yeah, I hope your 2012 is a lot better than 2011 was.

And I don't believe in Doomsday, so I doubt it'll happen anyway.

Thanks! I'm hoping it will be.

lmao, and don't get me started on the whole Doomsday thing. I'm so darn sick of hearing about that and seeing books on it everywhere. I don't believe in it, either. The end of the world happens...when it happens. I'm just trying to survive 'till then. Wink

Yeah, the way I see it, it's the sort of thing no one can predict. You'd think these people would give up on trying to predict it when they've been wrong every year. Have an awesome holiday if I don't come on this weekend.
