Hey everyone, another book from me about a convention.

This convention was AWESOME!   It started out on Friday as Eclipse, her dad and I left to Ohio for the convention.  On the way there, I listened to some music she had playing while keeping my eyes closed most of the way making sure I'm rested before getting there.  Once we got there, Misao and I went in with most of our stuff ready for the big weekend.  We got in line to register, which surprising much like Toronto Con the non register line went a lot faster than the Pre Reg line.  We passed people we know was in front of us that were Pre Reg.   We got up and paid, while we did that Misao's dad checked into the hotel so we met up with him in the bar to find out where to go.  We were on floor 6  (since rooms didn't start till floor 4).

Eclipse and her dad waited down stairs while I ran the luggage up to the room and sorted out what I needed for autographs that day.  Than I came back down stairs and we headed to get in line for Opening Cermony.  I couldn't wait for this, cause this was when I was going to be able to see the Guest.  I did not realize at this point that Scott McNeil wasn't going to be there till Saturday.   Though as I sat there, I noticed that two very well known faces sat just next to Eclipse and I, it was Tiffany Grant and Mike McFarland.  I said hi to both of them, and showed them my TMNT signed up shirt they seemed rather impressed by it.

Durning the opening cermony I was able to see where just about everyone was, and was really happy to see Michael Dobson go up on stage.   When he came down, I moved up to him and showed him a few things real fast introducing myself.  Than let him go back to where he was to watch the rest of the opening.   Of course I cheered for all of the VAs, seeing as how either I know their work or I've gottan to know them through the conventions I've been going too.

After opening cermony's we noticed the VAs slipt up into two groups, one on each side of the room.   Eclipse and I first walked over to where Greg Ayres was, though I noticed on the other side of the room was some other guest including Michael Dobson, so I left Eclipse with that group and went over to the other group.  Which is when I first said hi to someone I now see as a good friend with how much we talked this weekend, Chris Sabat.  He was playing a video game when I walked over, he asked me if I ever played it.  I haven't, though I sat next to him as he played and talked with me.  He wanted to know how my arm was doing and if I sued the pants off of the company yet.   While talking to him I mentioned that Michael Dobson is the voice of Leonardo from Ninja Turtles : The Next Mutation.  He looked up towards Michael.

"Hey Michael!  Do you know who this is?!"  Chris called over.  Michael looked up with a bit of a blank look on his face as he blinked a few times, remembering me introducing myself up near the stage, who he said my name with a bit of question mark to it.
"I knew of her before I ever met her."  Chris than said. "She was on a show on was it VH1 or MTV?"
"VH1" I said quietly, a bit shocked to have that brought up so soon in the weekend.   As Chris went on about seeing me on Totally Obessed.  Not long after we moved to sit next to Michael, and I started showing him things in my bag.  Including the TMNT:TNM calandar from Germany and a few scripts.   Chris decided to play around at this point and tried reading one of Leonardo's lines, it was funny because Michael was sitting there giving him directions on how to read it.  (I'll like to put this clip up on the internet so people can see it because I did get a little video of this.).

We stayed in there till the staff chased us out for the next panel that was going on in there.   We were going to go to "I'm a Game Voice Acting for Video Games."  Though Eclipse and I took this time to go up to our room, sort things a bit better than go down and hit the dealer room a little.  I found some nice people down there, one lady who likes both FMA (Fullmetal Alchemist) and The Monkees.  Oh we got along GREAT.   While there my mom put some money in my bank since my check wasn't in yet.   So I was able to get two FMA Wall Scrolls (My FAVORITE Anime right now!) and picked up a gift for Eclipse that she really wanted.  Happy/Smile

The Dealer room made us a little late to our next panel which was "Meet the Guest"  Which had Monica, Tiffany, Matt, and Michael Dobson.   I video taped what I could of that panel, and right after that panel was another "Meet the Guest" Panel.  This time with Laura, Chris, Mike McFarland, Johnny Young Bosch and Greg.   This was the COLDEST of the panels.   It was in a big threatre type room which didn't know what heat was.   Poor Eclipse was in shorts because of her costume (She was Son Goku).

After that panel we went to the bar hoping to see some of the Guest there.  We took a seat and Eclipse met up with some of her friends.  I got myself a drink while we sat there.   Her friends left to do some other stuff, while they were gone Chris, Laura, Johnny showed up.  Chris came over and sat at our table talking with us.  He signed one thing for me, and we talked for awhile.  I told him how Vegeta is my favorite DBZ character and how he reminds me of a character in my book I'm writting I gave him a very very brief descripition of the past of my own character.  But didn't say if he was good or bad or anything, just let it be there.  He hopes I get this book out, it sounds good.   I told him how I'm not a fan of the Yellow hair, so I only collect the wall scrolls with black hair Vegeta on them, but they're hard to find.   I also told him of a nick name my friend calls them... "Super Duper Sayins"  he asked me if the friend was Sean (The voice of Goku) and I'm "No, it's a local friend."  So he told me how Sean also calls them that.

He got up and headed off after a little bit.  I said hi to Laura and Johnny as well while they were there.  Johnny is going to send me another copy of his concert since mine was taped over by mistake.  Michael Dobson walked by and said he'll be back he wants to get a drink.  Though... after a couple of hours of waiting he didn't come back so we headed to the next panel which was "Guitar Hero Challanger Chris Sabat Vs. The WORLD!"

This was GREAT!  Chris challanged people to this game with these fake guitars which was like DDR.  Though he won most of the matches, durning the last few Eclipse let me know she's too tired to make it to the next Event.  So I went up to the room with her, so she could get some sleep.  Than I headed back down to the next panel, I missed the last two matches but heard that Chris did loose once.  Though he won all the other games he played so he's really Good!  (Though he lost to a girl Wink )

The next panel is one of my favorites, it was "Mike McFarland Comedy and improve".  The worse thing about this is, no video taping allowed durning this panel.  So here's as best as I can describe some of the stuff they did here.  They had to sing songs that were made up on the spot to certain tunes, they had to talk about certain topics with two people having to take over the line like they're saying it as soon as they touched back and forth (that was funny),  and here's one of the best....

Mike stood up front and asked for two Volunteers.   He pointed to a couple in the front roll.  And said "Now one of you have to take Laura out to the hall."  The man raised his hand super fast as a loud "ME!" came out of his mouth.  Oh the LOOK he got from his girl... and he got smacked.  This soon became a huge joke.  So he took her out to the hall, while his girl stayed inside (I don't know if they were girlfriend/boyfriend or married couldn't tell from where I was sitting).  While Laura was in the hall we had to come up with three things...   an item, what it's made out of, and who it's made by.   So we came up with a deck of Uno cards, made out of cheese by William Shattener (sp?).    Laura is suppose to be returning this item, but before she can fully return it, she's got to figure out those three things.

This was GREAT to watch, it was a surprise she even got it.   I love how her first excuse for returning it was, that when she plugged it in, it sparked.  Man did her face turn red when she found out it was a game of Uno cards!!!  LOL!   This had all of us laughing.  After that, they did some more things like "Worse of" where the crowd would pick stuff and the guest would have to say what is the worst of it.  It was great because Chris kept picking on Johnny.  So anytime something worse would come up, Chris would take the mic and say "Johnny Young Bosch".    Well the last thing that was "Worse of" was someone yelled up  "POWER RANGER!"  So before anyone else could grab the Mic Johnny moved up and grabbed the mic and went "Hi, I'm Johnny Young Bosch".   Man the crowd loved it!  (You had to be there!)

The last thing I want to bring up from this panel which I WISH I got on Video was their Blues songs.  The topic given to Chris by the crowd was "I can't super sayin up blues"  and he did such a GREAT job at it!  I was so tempted to turn on my camera only for that, but I behaved and didn't.    He did it in Vegeta's voice and man was it GREAT!  And the jokes he made durning it, was perfect!   Thanks Chris for the wonderful laugh!!!!!    After the panel I went up and told him how awesome of a job he did!

Though I than headed back towards the room, thinking how tired I was it was time to head to bed.  Seeing as how late it was as well.  Though when I was going through the bar I noticed Michael Dobson sitting there..... hmmmm bed or say hi?  I choose to say hi.  Next thing I knew I was surrounded with other people that wanted to talk to me.  This was really cool and I had a lot of fun talking that night.  Though I realized how late it was getting (after an hour and a half longer of talking) and said my good nights.  Michael gave me a few hugs before I disappeared up to the room.

Once I got up there both Eclipse and her dad were asleep, so I crawled into bed (I was shareing with Eclipse and she kind of woke up.) I told her a little about what happened with Michael Dobson down stairs, and that I couldn't video tape.  I was too excited to go to sleep, so I got up and went out in the hall and called Fae (since she's one of the few that would still be awake that early in the morning Easteren time).  I told her all about what happened that night, than headed to bed.

Well there was my book about Friday.  Saturday and Sunday coming soon.  Plus photos and hopefully video clips.   Very Happy/Big Grin

What a day! I know it was a busy weekend for you and this being just one day show it so. This is one Con i would have loved to have gone to (mostly because i miss meeting up with you ever two months *G*) but the great fun that you had at this convention sounds so great!

The last panal where no recording was allowed sounded like the funniest! Reminds me of the show, Who's line is it anyway. Improve is the best especially when you got such a great group of VA's to play it with! That would have been a recording to remember but the memory of how much fun you had at this panel should stay with you for a very long time. And now you can also reread over your own review to remind yourself of it.

I was very happy that you called me that night, gave me a smile Happy/Smile

Can't wait to hear how the rest of the weekend went!

Picture post!

Happy/Smile  Here are some pictures I taken on Friday at the convention.  I didn't take as many pictures as normal, and most pictures are a bit blured of the guys on stage.

This first picture is of a cosplayer who is dressed like Spike from Cowboy Bebop.  I think he did a GREAT job, so I deff had to get a picture of him.  I don't usually take cosplay pictures but I got a few at this convention.

Theres next so many pictures are all from the Mike McFarland Improve show.

This is all of them on stage singing.   From left to right Johnny Young Bosch (Vash, Trigun), Tiffany Grant, Laura Bailey, Chris Sabat (Vegeta, Dragon Ball Z & GT), and Mike McFarland (Master Roshi, Dragon Ball & Z & GT).   Durning this skit Mike took sudjestions from the crowd for verses of a song and asigned each of the VAs with a verse from idea from the crowd.

Durning this part of the improve show, two people were playing experts and can answer any question so well that they could inter lock the conversation.  So when ever Mike would point at one person they had to pick up from the word that the last person picked it up.   This was really funny, because they were really messing up on some of the adult topics...  In this picture Tiffany and Johnny were on the scene.

Here is a picture of Chris and Laura off to the side of the stage waiting for their turn to come back up and do more improv.

Here's Johnny and Chris doing their skit together.   I think it was Tiffany and Chris that never got to do a skit together durning this part of the improv show.

Ah yes another song, this time each of them got asigned a song... blues songs.   Laura had "Dealing with anime Fan Boys Blues"  though the best was Chris with "Can't Super Sayin up Blues".

This is durning the "Worse" part of the show.  Where people from the crowd will say something and the guest would have to say what is the "Worse" of that something.  We had some real funny ones done.   Chris favorite answer was "Johnny Young Bosch" though Mike stold it from him once... it didn't matter what it was, Johnny was the worse of it.  Than came the last one  Worse Power Ranger,  Johnny grabbed the mic and said "Hi, I'm Johnny Young Bosch" that got a HUGE laugh!  Since for those who don't know, Johnny was Adam the Black Ranger (the second Black Ranger can be seen in the movie.).

This is my Friday pictures of the convention.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Happy/Smile
