Hey all, happy new year. I just got this forums newsletter a little while ago, and I'm confused by this portion of it.

"2012 looks to be a big year for TMNT fans. The new comic book series from IDW looks to be doing very well and the new Nickelodeon TV series is scheduled to premiere on March 31st. There even might be a new TMNT movie this year. So this year should be very exciting!"

At what point did Nick give the new series a release date? All I've ever caught wind of was "Fall 2012". I'd really appreciate a source on that 'cause as of now I don't believe it. Also, there's no way in shell that the new movie is coming out this year. They've not casted anyone, far as we know the script isn't even finished yet. I wouldn't bank on that until the end of 2013 at the earliest...

EDIT: I see whoever got this information took it from Wikipedia. That's a really poor place to get any "facts" from as any user can freely edit the pages. "...and which will premiere on March 31, 2012 after the Kids' Choice Awards 2012.[citation needed]" Case in point, there is no source even at the "source". This time last year the same thing was stated, that it would premier after 2011's kid choice awards. It's merely speculation.

Yeah, I was confused about that, too as we haven't heard any official word on when it would be released, so I'm not going to believe anything until the higher ups say something.

Yeah, I've been seeing these dates pop up out of the blue too... I read that on Wiki and was wondering where they got their news.  I searched the Nickelodeon webpage and have not found any news on the TMNT series release date.  Even Ninjaturtles.com is not updated.

The Movie has been pushed back by years, 2014 may be the earliest before we see the movie.  The rumor I've heard is they want to see how the new TV series does.

I have wrote someone from Nick to try and find out about the March 31st date.

I'm sorry for the rumor spreading but at least the truth can come to light.

I know I should have done my due diligence on this stuff and I usually do but I couldn't help myself.
