Hey everyone,

As we have all learned the Turtles in the Nickelodeon series will have 3 toes instead of 2.  This is the first time in Turtle history that something like this has been changed.  The closes we've had to this is the Turtles plastron and shell patterns changing through the years.. esp with the Next Mutation.  Of course there was also the removal of the tail that they original had in the Mirage Comics.

So does this one feature make a big difference in how people see the Turtles?  Maybe.. maybe not.  It's been a big talk since the news got out last spring about the third toe.  Though we haven't really discussed it that much here on TMNT-L...

So what are your thoughts....?

I'm not a fan of the change, at all. It seems to be a very silly change. Though, I know it won't make or break the show. And as long as I can remember to set it to record, I will watch the show.

I don't think it'll matter all that much. Not unless they decide to make their feet more like monkey feet (Like grabbing things with them) with the extra toe. Now that would be weird.

I'm honestly not a fan of the change since I've been used to seeing them with two toes. It doesn't mean I won't watch the show, but I feel that Nick just randomly did it for the sake of change or something.

I'm voting no. But ultimately it doesn't matter. How much do you pay attention to a character's feet anyways?

On a related note, I searched if there are such thing as turtles with three toes and there is the Three-toed box turtle. So it's not entirely inaccurate.

But it's still weird.

Someone needs to ask the Higher Powers about this and see what they have to say. Or have they? I can't remember seeing anything about it.

Id prefer if they only had 2 toes. If they had to give them 3 toes, it wouldn't hurt to make them look more turtle like.  As of now it looks like they have giant green paws.  Like dog paws.  I don't like that.
