Comic Questions!

I just received the 2 newest comics, pictured below:





Both get me confused due to the color of the mask. I do understand the original comics all had red masks, but when they only show one turtle and without the weapon(s), it's very hard to differentiate. Does anybody agree? For the first comic, I thought it was Raphael at first. Then I noticed the weapons in back got me thinking it was Leonardo. After reading it, it sounded like Donatello. Does anyone know? At the end of the book is a secret about the 2007 movie that is quite shocking.

I had the same problem with the second comic. I thought it was Raphael, but found out it is Donatello. Can anyone explain why an Utrom is friends with Donatello in this comic? I do know the story of the Utroms (how Krang was a vague reference to them). And I do realize these comics do not have anything to do with the 80s series, but I'm used to the Utroms (or Krang) being enemies with the Turtles. Isn't anybody else? I just find this strange. The only time Krang was a friend was when he helped Michelangelo escape in the episode "A Thing About Rats".

The first comic is definitely Leo, the 2nd comic is Don.  These comics are not affiliated with either of the cartoon shows and the Utroms are good guys. (they're also good guys in the new cartoon)

A secret about the 07 movie? Cooool!! I thought about dashing to the official site and snatching that one, but I need to finish my Image TMNT collection.

To understand Utroms in the comics, you know everything about the original cartoon, about Krang, etc., basically every single episode of it? OK, forget ALL of that.

The Utroms are benevolent, brain-like aliens that used human-like android bodies to move amongst us in the 1970s. Their work to build a working Transmat Device to go back home (to their homeworld) resulted in some toxic waste -- the same waste that creates the Turtles.

I hope you figured it out. I have had the same problem recently due to the color of the mask, whitch i find pretty confusing, especially when they dont have their weapons.
