It goes without saying, you read this, you are going to get an eyeful of spoilers.

 Shocked

Ye have been warned!

I was very interested in what Leo is up to, and the tie-in at some level to the Toon Battle Nexus and portals. And I loved the green tea reference. But if Leo gets enough caffeine out of green tea, then he better never drink Mountain Dew! (That stuff makes me ill.)
Now we have to wait until the next issue to find out what's on the other side! aaargh!

I was glad to see Mikey get away from prison, one way or another, though he sure looks like...uh...shell. Yeah. He's down to skin and shell. But is he going to try to get off planet or go find the Lass that got him tossed in there in the first place?
And I still wonder, once those eggs hatch, will it really turn out to be Mike as the dad? Or was she dallying about with someone else unacceptable to her family's station, and used Mikey to be the scapegoat? Hmm.....

As for the other guys, now that they got the Vampire man? I'll be curious to see if Raph is going to get cured of the Dino-form at some point? Or is he going to stay that way for a while?
Between that and Micro-Don aka Real Action Figure, I'm torn about how I feel about this direction in the comic. Part of me is interested and amused, part of me is like get them back to Normal already! I do miss certain things that are no longer part of the comic that made me enjoy certain older Mirage issues.

And I can't help but feel that Shadow running from the "friend" was too a few many pages. Maybe that's just me but it was like I got the idea that she was using every trick in the book and couldn't stop the thing. I'd rather have had more story depth about the threat of this Jihad group.

I'm trying to avoid being too judgemental about the current direction of the TMNT comics. I'm trying to give it time so the fuller story arc can be presented, and I can go back and view it as a whole.

Heh, go ahead and be judgemental, Leo...you wouldn't be the first.  I've read comments in a few place about how disillusioned people are getting with the series. I'm still reading, and probably always will...but I admit that there are times that I'm feeling not quite so entertained by the stories as I had in the past. Possibly because there are too many side stories on the go now and not one major storyline involving all, it can be hard keeping one's focus on a month-to-month basis.

Just gonna have to wait and see how things move forward.

Yeah, I know my comments aren't specific to issue #25 but that's because I read it last week and, honestly, I probably wasn't paying as much attention to it as I could have...

I like how Laird keeps changing things with the turtles' reality. It puts an awesome spin on things and leads you to wonder just how crazy things get. I'm sure eventually Donatello and Raphael will be returned to their regular forms and Michelangelo will be reunited with them just as Leonardo gets back from the Battle Nexus.

I don't think this is particularly the best approach to take to appease either avid followers of the TMNT or new fans, let alone both. I think I'll broach this in a new letter to Mr. Laird.

Just not sure how yet.

From what I understand of his commentaries, I don't think he wants to appease anybody. He's just doing the story as he sees fit, and if people don't like it, they don't have to buy it. He'll cancel the series when he gets tired of publishing it.

Good point, Aig. The way I see it, Laird knows that he can't please everybody so he's just gonna go ahead and do what he sees fit. It's not worth getting upset over because it's just make-believe anyway!

To be quite honest, neither do I because it really goes against all we've been taught about the TMNT and their fate, which is that they can never reproduce!

Considering it has always been Peter Laird himself that was such a proponent of the TMNT being so isolated, unique, and being the last of their kind, I'm probably betting the safe money's on it not being Mikey's.

Hi all,

My name is Jenn and I am new to the forums. I have been a fan of the comics both Mirage and Image (Sorry not into Archie) for some time and when I saw this discussion of the new comics I just had to make this my first reply:

I have also heard that Mr. Laird is not a fan of the TMNT procreating and that both Eastman and Laird were dead set against the idea of a female turtle...So what really burns my biscuits: Turtle Girl=Bad Dino Girl=Good! Huh?!

I agree the turtles should be special and unique and there should not be female turtles and thus no turtle babies...But Dino-Girls are ok? What sense does that make? That to me is just as bad the only difference IMO is that Regenta (or what ever her name is) doesn’t have a shell.      Shocked I am ok with the idea of TMNT having significant others but honestly I would rather they get together with humans and of course not having kids with them. However I am a picky chicky
 Embarassed

Any how, I write this partially because I read a letter in the VL4 #25's letters section that asked Peter Laird how he would deal with the turtles and their sexuality,  I am defiantly not a fan of them having sex with one an other (Which is what the writer of the letter suggested) being as how they were raised as brothers.  So I guess in this light Dino-Girl is palatable...At best.
What do you guys think about this? Should they be with Dino-Girls, Turtle-girls, Human-girls, SaintPauly-girls Happy/Smile Each other, other males, ect ?

Sorry guys, I feel like all I did was complaine in this post. I swear I am really not this complainy on a regular basis  Angel  Honest
Dino-Girl is just a big pet peeve of mine!

Have a good one!

Don't feel bad about complaining, Jenn. About half the fanbase here and on other forums do that on a regular basis. You had some very valid points here!
