Here's a short notice of a convention coming up for the west coast folks.  This convention has an interesting set up where you can meet the folks who made the Next Mutation costumes.  Check out the link for more details.

Whoa!  Paranormal, haunted tours, ghost hunts, and I have Saturday and Sunday off this weekend....Ahhhhhhh!  Wish I had known about this sooner, or I'd be trying to get tickets to this...what is it?  Looks like more than one event going on all in the L.A. area!  Hmmmmmm....

Hi, again.  Just thought I'd let you all know I did check out HauntX and it was pretty cool.  Mom, Christine and I all arrived close to 2:30 at the Hilton near LAX Airport, just in time to catch a panel for Disneyland's Haunted Mansion attraction hosted by Jeff Baham.  Since we're such fans of the ride, we knew a lot of the secrets Jeff talked about.  He ran a slide show with some never-before-seen images, so I thought that was pretty interesting.  Before going to eat, we stopped in this room called Haunted Memories.  What they do is they take antique paintings and change them into horrific expressions.  It's a really cool effect.  We entered raffle tickets to try and win one of the paintings.

After that, we went to eat at a deli called Bistro in the hotel.  It was very nice and we got our parking ticket validated.  Then, we headed into the exhibit hall to check out the booths.  This convention is for major Goth people.  It's for those interested in paranormal, horror movies, sci-fi, fantasy and all that real creepy cool stuff you can think of!  As for the TMNT, the Chiodo Brothers were there; they had their own booth in the exhibit hall area.  I talked to Charlie Chiodo and gave him the TMNT-L address to see if he'll be interested in joining this forum!

We walked around a little more and then entered another room where there were tables for all of the horror celebrities to sign autographs.  We saw Ron Chaney in there, or the great great grandson to Lon Chaney Sr.  Christine is friends with him through Wally and I got a Phantom of the Opera (1925 version) postcard autographed by him.  It was already going on 5 p.m. and the convention was closing for the day.  We decided to leave to go visit Wally and his two friends Scott and Vicky.  We ate dinner at Denny's in Studio City and are now hanging out at Wally's house watching old commercials.  We'll probably stay over because it's real late and raining outside.

So, that's about it!  Happy/Smile
