That's cool, I'm glad it's fun!  Michaelangelo

I got two questions today... 1 TMNT related and the other more about the work....

First question,   what do you think of the character Hun? and the relationship that seems to be between the two of them.  Have you got to meet or hear the voice used for Hun (Greg Carey)?  (Ok that's two questions there *G*)

Second question.  What is the hardest part about being in Entertainment?  And how do you deal with this challange?

I'd love to see an episode where Casey finally gets the chance to fight Stockman. I could see it being alot like that whole Volume 2 storyline where Stockman tried to exact his revenge on April, but they'll probably change it alittle so it's not as violent as the scenario turned out in the comics.

Hi gang, Yes, I've met Greg. We even grabbed some chinese food together. He's a GREAT guy...a gentlemans gentleman. He's an entertainer on cruise ships and travels a lot. He's also re-done The United Negro College Funds famous tag "A mind is a terrible thing to waste". TMNT was his first animation gig! He was  HAPPY and impressed to see Hun and hear his own voice coming from the character. His voice is actually DEEPER in person. You can feel the floor vibrate!!!! REALLY! I've not seen him in a while. I'm sure he's doing fine . The hardest part of being in the entertainment field is to MAKE A LIVING!!! This is why I suspect actors and musicians behave very poorly...drugs,divorces.etc  . The insecurity is VERY GREAT!!! The more one has the, greater the potential loss is when that person is no longer hot. Perhaps some deal with it by their so-called activism. It always looked odd to me to have a popular actor or pop musical star comment nastily on politics. One does not see this  behavior from the dance, jazz, puppetry, or magicians communities.I would say to any of you out there who want to make a go of show business... be prepared to PAY A PRICE...personally and professionally.Later-SCOTT

Wow that's really cool, Greg's gotta enjoy getting to travel so much.  I'm also happy to hear that he's enjoying his job as Hun, which is another cool character in the 4Kids TMNT show.  Michaelangelo

I also asked, what is the hardest part about being in Entertainment? And how do you deal with this challange?  Not sure if you saw that down at the bottom of my message or not.  Though figured I'd ask it again just incase.  It's always interesting to hear about the behind the scenes and what different people see as the harder parts... I know it all depends the voice actors, some say it's the yelling others say it's not knowing if their show is going to the next season.   So I ask this question to see different people's different points of view on the subject matter.  Michaelangelo

Oh!  Sorry, I read it before the edit was added.  Thanks for answering.  Michaelangelo

That seems to be an answer I see a lot, and know people who went through the hight who now are jumping from job to job hoping to make it again...  though once someone makes it big t hey normally end up with at type cast, so it's even harder to get a job even if you are a GREAT actor.   A good example was "The Monkees"  when people who know of them hear that Micky Dolzens is going to be a villain in a Broadway play, people are going to think... 'it's gotta be a comdey because Mikey's a joker, he's funny... he was a monkee'   Though when Micky did a song at one of the Monkees concert that wasn't something the Monkees were known for, he did get his chance to get out of his type cast and did a great job at it as well... for he was hired to be in a Boardway play, and if I'm hearing correctly he's going to be in another one now.   He also had his Radio Show (well until the station was bought out and all the voice talents were let go that day).

What has been your longest lasting entertainment gig so far?

Hi there, My longest running gig so far has been as Stockman. I can't believe it's gone this far. I thought one or two seasons at the most....and I'm sure Mickey Dolenz worries about his bills also. -SCOTT

Hey! I was just looking over the recent questions Ivey has been asking and i'm glad that she did. I use to and would still love to get into the entertainment industry, weather it be acting, voice acting, or singing. I figured it'd be a lot of work and self sacrifice to get into which is probably the biggest thing holding me back from jumping out there to try and grab it. I'm still deciding if such a big sacrifice is worth it. But that's a personal choice to make so eventually maybe i'll figure it out.

Anywho's sorry for going on like that, kinda got going there a bit. Are you going to keep up in being in plays? Ever think of coming out to the great northwest -hint, hint-? Sorry joking on that last question, lol!

Okay i'll be honest i really just wanted to say hi! So i'll stop this now... i tend to ramble a bit at times.

Take it easy!

Hi there, I'm ALWAYS doing plays.I just closed in ANATHEMAVILLE and got a good review...even if the play did'nt. As for traveling to the midwest ,I would...if someone else foots  the bill. If you want to tackle show biz do it NOW when you're young. Often it takes so long for something to happen. If you want a family and a weekly paycheck.... STAY OUT OF IT !!! You cannot have it BOTH ways.  I know Ralph Carter("Michael" from "GOOD TIMES") from being in the theatre world. He's a TURTLES fan and watches it with his nieces and nephews. Later. -SCOTT

Once you're in another play, let us know so we can post it in our event area so people know about it here.  Michaelangelo

I'm curious at how young you were when you decided to get into art and acting?  And who inspired you?

Hi all, Now that's a good question. I been drawing so long that I recall being able to draw with BOTH hands until the right hand began to dominate.I kept at it until I got my Associates degree from Pratt Institute. As for theatre, my first show EVER was in the first grade where I played a fireman. I had a plastic fire-helmet and I jumped off the stage in simulation of sliding down the fire pole. However I HATED doing school plays. I did'nt want to do ALICE IN WONDERLAND, ROBIN HOOD, and YOU"RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. My mom always supported me and was shocked when, as an adult, I confessed that I was embarassed to have her see me in that stuff. However ,I had a good buddy named Gregory who was really comical. He and I used to improvise comedy bits on cassette tape. We were doing radio shows, but as junior high kids in the 70's we could'nt relate to 40's radio shows. We did it to amuse ourselves.I taught myself to act and do voices. And guess what? I still have some of the tapes. I got turned on to serious theatre from a recording of a Broadway play ...AIN'T SUPPOSED TO DIE A NATURAL DEATH by Melvin Van Peebles. All you young folks should research this play. I'd NEVER heard stuff like this before. Guess what again? I got to hang out with Melvin in his house a while back. Also one of the actors on the album is ARTHUR FRENCH. I have worked with him AND HIS SON several times!!!!Show biz...ya'gotta love it.-SCOTT

Hey Scott, have you ever heard of the play ALL IN THE TIMING by David Ives? It's a eally cool comedy. I played a monkey for that in my community college drama club's production back in early 2004.

Hello, I've never heard of this work. You must remember there are THOUSANDS of plays in the world. Most are never done again or published. It's a shame because there's plenty of good work out there. I was recently rehersing a new work and happened to run into actor Earl Hyman. If you recall THE COSBY SHOW.. he was Cosbys dad a few times. Later.-Scott

Was there ever another career you thought about doing?  If so what?

I know most people who want into enertainment, get a back up plan just incase.  It's always interesting to hear where people were thinking they'd go with the "what if" stuff.  I'll love to be in entertainment, though all of my back up plans always landed me back into entertainment besides for one... for awhile back in the 1990's I was thinking about becoming a full time Karate Teacher, I taught beginner classes for around 15 months and it was a lot of fun.

Hello there, There was NEVER, NEVER, EVER  anything I wanted to do BUT be an artist!!! What am I gonna do ?... RUN FOR THE SENATE?!!!The only other thing I wish I could do more is play my tenor sax more often...which I've done onstage a few times. I'd usually play a guy who PLAYS the horn  and did it recently in a reading of BULLARD. Here's a story about choices: I was in Washington Square Park several weeks back studying my ANATHEMAVILLE script. An older fellow stops to chat with me. He explains that HE had been studying acting with LEE STRASBERG in the 50's....and Lee liked him very much. Being a Black man in the 50's he was'nt encouraged to persue his dream but instead to "get a good job and a house". He became a college  teacher of theatre for years..then retired....but ALWAYS wondered if he could've made it as an actor. And yes, there was regret on HIS part.He said to me, "I'm  what you would be if you gave up your dream."  Now IS THAT DEEP or what???!!! The question is: If one has a talent and dream should one persue it and risk failure?Or should one put it aside for the security,a house, etc  and risk regret? Later.-SCOTT
