Aw man, didja notice how hossibly decayed his arm was getting? Man, if I were Brian Henson I would sue the restaraunt for being so disrespectful to his father's craftmanship!

That still... ugh, I'm glad they took him down and unless they fix him I hope they don't put him back up.  Maybe that's selfish for other turtle fans but that costume deserves far more respect than it's being given.  I was actually emotionally distraught to see it in such poor condition.

I was honored to see the costume for the first time...yet completely shocked at how HORRIBLE it was being treated at the same time!! I mean, the other cool costumes and props were in cases, well protected from what I saw for the most part...why'd they have to staple Mikey to the wall, all falling apart like that?! Even though he's not up anymore apparently, I kinda have it in my mind to say something to the manager if I ever go there again. WHY would you treat that brillant costume, with all the hard work that went into it and all the millions of people that loved it, like a piece of crap like that?! It's just....so sad....*sigh* I hope they took him down for REPAIRS, not to just toss him away or something.

Especially when those suits were not made out of materials that have a permenant shelf life.
The rubber and latex stuff has to be treated carefully, and even then it's going to deteriorate.
Sad....
But maybe someone realized it and if it goes on display somewhere, it will be encased in something they can control the humidity and environment to help it last longer, and mount it so there isn't strain on the parts.

Yeah something like that definitely needed to be in a case.  They wouldn't do that to Vader!!!

Though the thought of Vader stuck to the wall in a Spiderman-esque pose is pretty funny actually...

I wondered if there was some sort of coating or something that would help preseve the materials used to the make the costumes We have so many advances since then...I'd' think they'd make the material last longer or have a preserve they could mix into the latex when it's' still gooey or a spray on preserve.
It's be nice if they made new costume parts and mount Mike properly in a dignified pose.

This was definately a good memory but now, Planet Hollywood in NYC has taken him down.  *glares at the evil manager* The manager had said that there was no guarentee that he'll even be up for the movie.  Evil people.  But I have to say, It does surprise me that they're hanging Mikey like that.  One would think they'd be more careful but that's giving people too much credit.  Oh well...that's life for you.
