Hello all! I just got back from a weekend getaway from the coast down at Seaside, Oregon. While there i was reminded of some very interesting information. Down there in that area was where TMNT 3 was filmed. The three key points that are pointed out was Fort Steven's Park, Tongue Point and Saddle Mountain. The only place i didn't get to stop at was Saddle Mountain, where the village was built and i'm betting the scenes where they're running through the woods was filmed.

I got to stop at Fort Stevens National Park, looked at the water, which one point reminded me a bit of how it might have looked for one of the castle scenes, but that was at the ocean, we didn't drive all the way down to the Colmubia River. The sign from Fort Steven's is below, and me posing with Mikey of course *G*

And another

Now Tongue Point is a place where they train people for jobs and as i hear it the ROTC. One of the hangers here was used to build a sound stage for the movie, but they were closed so i couldn't get in to see it. Prolly isn't anything there to show it was a sound stage anyways but here's a pic of the location sign

I did a lot more then that on the vaca, but i'm going to plan a trip where it's just to go to the three locations, especially Saddle Mountain and take ton's of more pics. See if i can pinpoint some actual filming locations instead of just general.

If you want to see further pics of the vaca they are right there --> http://photobucket.com/albums/a304/Danceingfae/Seaside%20March%202006/?start=60

Oh, those are cool pictures!  I'd love to go to Oregon some day.  I knew that's where they filmed TMNT 3.  Leahnardo used to live there, right?  I think.

I'm not sure if Leahnardo used to live up in this area.

And if you do decide to ever come up for a visit Brin, let me know. Heh, maybe i'll map out the area's for where the third movie was filmed as exactly as i can and leave an open invite to try and get a group together to go. That would be a blast!

I've taken my Don plushie on trips, but he gets as far as the hotel room.  I'm afraid I'd lose him.  Sad/Down

Leo plushie has met a long list of people involved with Turtles and almost got Turtle-napped by Mike Sinterniklaas at one point....

Everyone always loves him and makes comments about him which encourages me to take him more places.... much to the embrassement of my non-Ninja Turtle liking friends  Angel

Turtle-napped!  Poor Leo!  Well, Mike would have been kind to him, but you'd be sad!  That's real cool how he's been traveling, though.  Almost like the Spork/Sporkette mascots!   Very Happy/Big Grin

The Pic with my Mikey plushie seem to be a popular one, maybe i should add him to the pics up above  Razz  This was the first time i was able to take my Mikey plushie with me on my trips but mostly he did stay in the hotel room. The pics you see him in were done on the way home so i could easily just take him out of the car then toss him back in. I'm also be too paraoid to take him out and around too much. I got him off of e-bay and i really don't want to loose him.
