My internet name is Machias, but you can call me Machi or Amy (my real name).


2.  Where are you located?

I live on the wonderful NH seacoast. Tons of snow coming down right now... Nothing beats snowshoeing in the middle of nowhere.


3.  How old are you, and how long ago did you hear of TMNT?

I'm 25, but I only first heard of the turtles when the cartoon came out. I've been a loyal fan ever since. Once the Old Toon finished up, I kept either to the occasional Archie comic, or writing my own fiction. There was pretending they were around, but that's another story... 

During High school, I kept mainly to drawing and writing my own stuff. Then I discovered the Internet. I had NO idea the amount of stuff online! I spent a little time in the school library, reading fics by Splinter, Dawnatello, Sue Sitler and so many others.. Once I started college, I contacted Dawnatello and had her host a couple stories for me (I was still Wicked new to the internet). That was when I joined the internet community and began making so many acquaintances and friends. I've been part of the fandom for a little over 7 years now, and have enjoyed it immensely.


4.  What first introduced you to TMNT, please tell us a little bit about it.

Saturday morning cartoons on CBS. It was so wild and out there, me and my brother got hooked immediately. What I didn't learn until much later was that I live in the town that the comics were first created and sold at. My brother was 'friend of a friend', and I used to visit the Paperback Bazaar up until it's closing a couple years ago. I only got into the Mirage comics once I got into college.


5.  Who is your favorite Turtle, and why?

Definitely has to be Michelangelo. Being the youngest of four siblings, we have a lot in common.


6. Which of the TMNT movies is your favorite, and do you have any stories to share about why, when and where you first saw it?

I've always loved the first movie. That to me was always the definitive TMNT Movie. Our copy was actually a gift from our pastor back when I was 8 or 9 years old. The others are alright, the new one was great eye-candy, but the first will always have a special place in my heart.


7.  Have you been to any TMNT events like Tours, conventions, Store apperances, Bday party type Turtles... ect....   if so, what events?   And please feel free to make a post about it in the 'TMNT fandom' under 'other'.

I went to the Paperback Bazaar comic-con a couple years back and met the Mirage crew. Wonderful guys, very talented. I also got to share a couple pics with Jim Lawson and get a signed copy of his paleo comic. Very crowded lil convention, loads of fun.


8.  What other things besides TMNT do you like?

I absolutely LOVE dinosaurs. Jurassic Park movies, Raptor Red, catching up on the latest discoveries. Dinotopia by James Gurney is some of the most amazing and Inspiring artwork I've ever seen. Other shows I love are The Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers. These non-fictional series are better than any reality shows on TV, to me. I used to be hooked on everything Marine Biology-related, mostly on marine mammals and sharks, but it's died down as I've focused on other things. I still love hearing about newly discovered species (or rediscovered - Coelocanth, anyone?).

Other things... uh, Celtic Music, various mythologies, movie soundtracks, genetics... Learning how to cook and forage in the wild, currently. I'm always doing research on different things for stories and whatnot.

I'm not an avid collector, but I've got the basic five characters from 2K3, a few different issues of Mirage and Archies, plus a few copies of the PBBZ #1 special edition reprint.

11.  Who is someone that's done something TMNT, that you have not met and would really like to meet?

I'd love to meet Lloyd Goldfine. We've shared one or two e-mails, but I'd love to meet him and learn about the process of creating the episodes (mostly the writing procedure). I've written episode discussion threads for a few years now on the drome, but would Love to get into some actual writing position and get creative with other great minds.

That and hang out with the animation department to learn how they do what they do.

My brother was a TMNT fan when he was young. I was around 4 years old when I started watching the movies. Since my brother's death, I have collected TMNT as a memory of him and just ended up falling in love with TMNT.

Donatello is my favorite turtle. He some how helps me not give up in my school work. I always end up getting the job done, because of his intelligence.

Hmm.. I don't know which movie would be my favorite. I would say Secret of the Ooze. I remember watching that movie a lot when I was little. I know almost every line to the movie.

No... Nothing like that comes around where I live. They hardly have any TMNT stuff now.

I have the walkie talkies, backpacks, trading cards, the big action figures with movies in it, PS2 CGI 2007 TMNT game and BattleNXUS PS2 game, the bandaid package first aid kit, the kites, pillows, 12 in giant foot pez, the small pez, puzzles, all four movies, rulers, pencils, pens, playing cards, the trading cards, the trading movie cards, tmnt jumping beans, erasers, folders, notebook, watch, magnets, tmnt tape with michelangelo on it, stamps, 3D trading card, coloring books, small raphael kite, custom made tmnt pillow case, stickers, collectable stickers, sticker book, candy sticks, tmnt board game, tmnt bubble gum (it has the turtles on it), tmnt pencil holder for binder, tmnt gummy candy, tmnt sweater, tmnt shirts and custom made one, tmnt towel and beach backpack towel, sketch pad, and notepads, tmnt bop bag (like one of those punching bags), raphael tmnt walkman, and I think that is it..

About the ONLY name that I use online is my nick, which is Whitewolf89, which is what I use everywhere, no matter where, or in which fandoms, or forums.  I also generally go by the shortened version of my username/nick, which is Wolfie.  ALL my online buddies call me that.

2.  Where are you located?
My HUMAN self, in West Plains, Missouri (USUALLY, for at least 2 hours a day, at my local library, as I don't currently have Internert access at home, due to having to move recently).  My Martian fursona/BMFM OC, Wolf, on the other hand, while living on Earth, lives in either the Last Chance Garage in Chicago, IL, but at the PRESENT moment is residing in the Turtles' Lair in New York City (the one in the pump-station under Belvedre Castle in Central Park).

3.  How old are you, and how long ago did you hear of TMNT?
I'm 51, but will be 52 on February 9th of this year.  As for how long ago that I heard of the TMNT, it's been about 24 years, or so, now.

4.  What first introduced you to TMNT, please tell us a little bit about it.
Actually, I found a Bud Plant ad for some of the Volume 1 comics years ago in one of the issues of the Marvel Comics color reprints of Wendy and Richard Pini's great comic, Elfquest, ordered them, and I guess you could say that a running love affair with the Green Teens was born, as I've been hooked on them ever since!

5.  Who is your favorite Turtle, and why?
No contest.  Raphael is MY No. 1 fave of the boys.  As to why, he's fiercely loyal to his family and friends, brave, loving (in his own macho way), and just and all-around guy.  Okay, so he HAS a bit of a temper ( ) (but then again, who doesn't?!); to me, that just adds up to the coolness that IS Hamato Raphael.

6.  Which of the TMNT movies is your favorite, and do you have any stories to share about why, when and where you first saw it?
Actually, as much as I love them all, the new CGI movie that came out in 2007 has since become my No. 1 fave of the four of them.

As to the story thing, the first time I saw it was at one of our two local movie theatres, the Glass Sword Cinema 6, here in West Plains, MO, was because (other than MY considered determination TO see it when it first came out (premiere night, in other words) my youngest niece, Ashley (who's just as BIG a TMNT nut...er, FAN...as her Aunt Wolfie is, and who is a HUGE Leo fan), and I had made a "date" MONTHS before the movie came out to go and see it together.  Which we did.  AND we BOTH loved it!

Unfortunately, where I live (Missouri), no.  Everything like that is just TOO far away for me to be ABLE to attend. *sighs*  Don't I wish, though............

Oh, yeah.  Biker Mice From Mars (both old AND new series), SWAT Kats, Elfquest, Sonic the Hedgehog, Usagi Yojimbo, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force GO!, and...a couple of other things.

Do you mean, professionally, or fan-made?  If professionally, then I'd like to meet Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman (natch), Chris Allen, Dan Berger, and a couple of OTHER TMNT artists/writers.  If fan-made, then I'd like to meet Tigerfog (who, as we all know, draws and writes the fabulous MNT Gaiden fancomic/manga!), Machias Banshee, RaaSet, Anticia, Sneefee, crabapplered, and several others who both draw and write such absolutely WONDERFUL fanart and fics of the guys.

I was 11 years old when I first discovered TMHT/TMNT.

4.  What first introduced you to TMNT, please tell us a little bit about it.
I was introduced to TMNT through a 'street friend' (Mark) when I was eleven. I watched the first movie (a naughty copy) at his house. I went home confused by the film, and worse I didn't even like it.
That night I had a dream. I dreamt I was leaping from rooftop to rooftop with the Turtles. Leonardo was helping me.
The next morning, I awoke a different person. I was hooked.

5.  Who is your favorite Turtle, and why?
My favourite Turtle has been Leonardo for a long time.
When I first got hooked, I liked Michaelangelo the most, for about a week. Then I found my favourite for life, Leonardo.

6.  Which of the TMNT movies is your favorite, and do you have any stories to share about why, when and where you first saw it?
I love all the movies for different reasons. All are now classics to me.
The first movie introduced me to TMNT. Without seeing that naughty copy, I wouldn't have been a lifelong fan. The first film is slightly darker than the others, which appealed to me. I like dark themes.
The second movie (Secrets of the Ooze) was equally fantastic. The costumes seemed a little shoddier than the first film, but the plot was fantastic. Tokka and Razar were fantastic characters.
The third movie had the worst costumes, but the most fantastical plot. I loved the Turtles going back to ancient Japan. It was an excellent script, and Casey was a brilliant character throughout.
TMNT (the animated feature) was also brilliant. Slightly darker than the movies, the animated movie hit the spot for me as an adult.

I am known in certain fandoms, but not much in TMNT. The most I've done is been a penpal over the years. I had a letter once in a TMNT comic book, that's all.

At the moment I have huge obsession with Supernatural, Torchwood and 24. I also like The A-Team, Queer as Folk, Tru Calling, Firefly, Buffy and Angel. Apart from TV shows I am a huge movie addict and very creative.

I collect everything I can on TMNT. Everything from figures to comic books. I'm very dedicated.
Some kid left a Michaelangelo toy at my local mcdonalds. I was so tempted to swipe it. But, I would have felt forever guilty if that kid had been put off TMNT as a result, so I left him there! Hope he wasn't thrown in the trash ...

4.  I got into Ninja Turtles when I saw a Raphael toy in a magazine. I was so blown away by the look and the idea of a Turtle who happens to be a ninja. As a kid, that was beyond cool. I got Raphael and the Turtle cycle for my b-day and between that and the cartoon, I was hooked. Learning later in life that they were created right around the corner made TMNT that much cooler.

5.  Raphael is my favorite b/c he was cool, and had mean streak...I connected to it

6.  the first movie (the live action one) remains my favorite. It was so close to what the comics were without being too violent. I love it. I saw it on VHS b/c growing up we were too poor for the cinemas.

7.  NYCC's 25th anniversary is the only thing...but man, was it awesome!

9.  I'm very picky with what I collect TMNT wise. I got an original movie Mask, I have the NECA figures (in package and loose), I have the CGI movie ones, and of course I have a few of the original turtle toys. I have the cartoon (new and old) on DVD, and all the movies on DVD (still have the VHS copies)...oh yeah, and signed comics from both Laird and Eastman, Talbot, Dooney, etc

I just turned 18 a few months ago (has the mind of a 16 year old on occasions).
I always knew of TMNT since I was a little kid; amazingly I was scared of them. Guess I thought the Power Rangers were better? Then around the end of 7th Grade, the 2003 series came on, and instantly I loved it.

   It was all coincidence, I was watching TV when I saw the 5rd episode of the 2003 series and grew to be obsessed with it!


5.  Who is your favorite Turtle, and why?
   Raphael, hands down. I really don’t know why I love the hothead, but those types of men seem to attract me. The ones who are all tough, but on the inside they are as sweet as a marshmallow! I have tons I adore, but Raph's on the top! But really I love all the turtle deep down! There'll all just so sweet!

   Wow, that’s a really hard one. I can't decide on a favorite since they all rock! But, I probably saw the first movie when I was too little to realize. But, the first time I remember watching it was when I was like 13 or 14, something around there. All I remember was, Splinter scarred me so much! Now I find him to be too cute!  :3

   Well really I have only been to one. It was the TMNT FF opening at my mall. Guess it was some traveling thing they did, pretty exciting, except that the person in the Mikey costume was obviously a girl, because here hair was showing out of her head mask. That was disappointing.  >>;

   Oh my! This list goes on and on. Top things though are Hamtaro! I’ve been a huge fan since I was like 8.  And of course Pokemon, witch I still love (not as much), but still LOVE. I was a fan since the very day it began! Oh geez! How can I forget, Twilight?
Read all the books and was there at midnight for the showing! I think the book is great and I’m an Edward fan. (Surprise surprise)! Though I love it I still respect people who don’t like it. And I’m not a mouth-foaming rabid fan. (I had my shots.)
Other than those top ones: Batman, X-Men, Avatar, Keroro Gunsou, Bleach, Naruto, Wolf’s Rain, Pucca, Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob, Transformers, Sonic, and any other Marvel or DC character.

   But of course! I have the complete TMNT NECA series, a nice assortment of comics, most of the 2003 DVDs and action figures, all four movies (though needs the Mutation movie), and tons of random TMNT merchandise. Along with just collecting turtles too!

I can't say that I have a favorite.

I've been to various anime conventions where they have had TMNT guests but that's abotu the best I can do.

I enjoy watching Saiyuki, Gundam Wing, Ronin Warriors, Samurai Deeper Kyo, CSI (each of the various series), and Ghost Hunters.  My true passions are with animals.

I usually only collect the DVDs to make up for viewing them on YouTube since I never can catch the show when it's on.  I do have a few scattered action figures but I don't think that's enough to call them a collection.

From what I can remember I think it was a combination of the comics and the Sat. morning cartoon.

Raphael.  I like Raph for many reasons.  My fav color is red.  He's a bad a** ALL the time.  He's not a panzy.  He lays his imperfections right out there on front street.  After seeing TMNT, its quite evident that he can whoop any of his brothers in a fight.  He's a loner and at times I feel the same.  He'd do anything for his family when in danger.

6.  Which of the TMNT movies is your favorite, and do you have any stories to share about why, when and where you first saw it?

TMNT II and I think I seen it with some friends from church.  I remember being excited to see Vanilla Ice in it and I remember wondering what kind of animal popped out of the wood on the trailer.. turns out it was the fist of Super Shredder before he opened his palm lmao

They came here to the Fort Wayne Embassy twice and I caught them the second time around but I favored the first tour because I couldn't stand the generic look of socks and gym shoes they wore on the second tour.  I prefered the colored boots from the first tour lol

Donatello is my favorite, because it's so smart.  we would get along well i think, we've both done over the phone tech support.

The first movie is my favorite, I saw it opening day with every kid in the neighborhood. this was before the internet and before we knew to talk to each other about seeing it together so it was quite a surprise.

I was serious about being in a swamp so they didn't really come to my area in their prime. I am running an event of my own in a few months though, I'll share that with you guys later.

Hi everybody, I joined the forum just yesterday. I have posted a couple of comments earlier and I should definately introduce myself, otherwise It would be rude.....

1. My name is Joe, my personal friends call me Arcade Joe, because I worked at a video arcade for a while.

2. I'm located abaut 35 miles south of Chicago,IL

3. I am 37 years of age and I don't consider myself "old"...I've been a TMNT fan since around '87 or so.

4. I had an old friend who turned me on to the comic books, then came the original cartoon series, then the movies of course.

5. Gosh... it's really hard to pinpoint who my favorite turtle is. I am big on Raphael, but I am also a big Donatello fan, because I admire his sincere personality.

6. The first movie is hands down the best out of all of the other films, due to being sort of accurate to the books, but just a great story with an excellent blend of humor, action and drama..

7. Ironically, my first TMNT event was the 25th anniversary in Chicago. I went on Saturday and met Ivey and Miki.

8. Besides being a TMNT fan, I am extremely passionate for music. I play guitar from time to time. Movies in general, I am a film junkie.

9.I have several TMNT comics like the city at war books. I have some of the TMNT CGI movie action figures and some are still in thier boxes. I have the posters of the 4 turtles from the first movie.

11. Quite frankly I wouldn't mind meeting anybody who has had involvement of TMNT in a big or small way.
