New Question:
If your power was to go out for 48 Hours what would you do to entertain yourself?
Let's see...what did I do in 2003 when Hurricane Juan took out our power for almost two days...? Periodically listened to the radio, but didn't want to drain the batteries too badly. Hmm. Went to bed early because there was just nothing to do. Read. A lot. Did some writing. Took pictures of the storm damage. Helped pile wood from the trees that the storm had knocked down, that we chopped up. Went to work one day, since the office had power. Hid my tv remote, because I kept reaching for it to turn on the tv, only to have it not work. Felt like doing the same thing to my fan, that I also kept wanting to turn on. *G* It was an exciting time... |

What do do without power for 48 hours... during daylight, probably do some cleaning, sort through stuff, read, go out on walks or something, talk to people, start a fire in the outdoor BBQ, and so forth. If the power was out for any length of time, I'd avoid driving to save gasoline for important trips, and ride me bicycle.  Say, I've been reading through the old Mirage comics, and I'd nearly forgotten all those different lovely moods you could get into, Raph. Remind me not to call you a freak...  |

Are you planning to travel this year? If so where to?
I plan to travel just about every year...usually to one of three places: England, New England or Prince Edward Island. England is a tad pricey to do too often and it's currently on hold for 2009. Since PEI is just a weekend excursion, that leaves us with...New England. This will actually be a pricey trip, since it has been strongly suggested that my 13 year old car might have issues with the lengthy road trip. Trip #11 to Salem, already got some planning in the works. |

I still check LJ daily. FB is ok for quick snippets but I still prefer LJ for longer notes or things that I don't want everyone to see.
