Yes! One morning I woke up and thought, those birds are giggling. A warbly, chittering sort of giggle. Hmm. Sweetbeaks. Sounds like something Ninjara would say to Raph, eh?

New question: Have you ever had a register person try to charge you more for an item than what it cost?
I went to the store and picked up two pops that were 89 cents each (plus Michigan 10 cent deposit, so 99 cents). I grabbed out $2, since the total should be $1.98. I went up there and the guy rang it up at $3.18...
$3.18 is three bottles of 99 cent pop plus 7%. (which is not Michigan's sales tax, so that doesn't make sense) What type of pop and what size bottle, Mike? (this has nothing to do with it, I was just curious what was so cheap) (I know Mike reads these, even if it is in the 'evil' thread *G*)Today, I bought a 591 ml bottle of Diet Coke - $1.79 + $.24 sales tax + $.10 deposit (of which I'll get $.05 back when I return it). I couldn't even get one of those for $2.00. As for being charged the wrong amount, it's happened. Depending on the amount, sometimes I'll speak up, sometimes I won't. It's happened both ways, so it sorta evens out. *G*

New Question:
What is your favorite computer game that comes with most computers?
Yeah, gonna have to go with Spider Solitaire, if we're talking about games that come with the computer. Also like playing Zuma or Bricks of Egypt...must get them loaded onto my laptop.

Solitaire is a good way to unwind. Haven't played it in years, though. I just fiddle around with a virtual farm, right now. Nice and quiet, safe, nobody gets shot at... no animals are harmed...
No war games... I'm beginning to really hate violence of any kind, it's hitting too close to home, IMO. Speaking of which, my son will be back for 9 days of leave, and the war games will be on again... ack. I should give him a deck of real cards to take with him. That doesn't require electricity. LOL

Yeah, not a big fan of war games either. Actually, not into many of the 'epic' games, more into the old fashioned arcade type games. Ahhh, arcades...when you had leave the house to play video games, and you *stage whisper* met people...in person! Such a novelty....

Had one of the old TMNT arcade games from the 80s stored at the old house for a few years. The kids had fun playing it, but it was a power hog. And noisy! Had to put a sound baffle over the speaker. It was really fun to move as well, it weighed about 350 lbs. Or so. Then a friend took it away to Phoenix in a pickup truck...

THere was one arcade that we used to go to weekly. The owner was really great, even asked for the gang's input when he put in a jukebox. We gave him a list of 45s which he took to the local record store and purchased. When he got rid of things a few years later, I got to keep the Beatles' 45. Sadly, he sold the place, we stopped hanging out there and the place got Molotav Cocktailed not too long after.

1. Yep, I enjoy soy milk from time to time. I have a hard time drinking real milk, so I do drink soy milk if I ever get an urge for milk, which isn't often. 2. I guess it's according to what kind of things they are. I'm not as bad as some people (*wink wink nudge nudge*) but I definitely can pitch old clothing. I have too much clothing as is, if I kept everything, I'd be buried in shirts or something. But I do keep books. I've only tossed one, but that was because it infuriated me so much. I mean seriously... listing Ares as Zeus's brother?? WTF. Anyway, I still have all of my old comics, a majority of my old toys (mom gave away a lot of barbies because I didn't want them anymore), and even some homework from High School. So, I'm certainly not the epitome of a packrat, but I definitely exhibit the tendencies of one.

Phoenix was meant to represent the fire and passion that creates life. I choose to bear the name -- and do so proudly -- in order to set things right.
