There's a novel with that sort of a character? What novel is this, sounds interesting... Yup! (It just came out, so you're excused for not knowing about it. ) Audrey Niffenegger's Her Fearful Symmetry. The author apparently worked at Highgate for a while, so she knows what she's talking about. Probably she spends a little too much of the book enthusing about the cool stuff in the cemetery, and the story overall is not that great, but... there it is.

So I've been told... (Literacy. A disease that affects over 90% of individuals in developed nations. Literacy is frequently transmitted from parents to children. But together, we can fight the spread of this disease. Call now to find out how you can help.)

Been down with a terrible case of that lately. Oh, it's awful. Gets in the way of my internet time. Hopeless...

I have days where I'm inflicted with it horribly...then other days when it really seems like just the opposite.

Hey, you recall that question about what does a teabag do with it's tired? Finally got the answer from the perpetrators.

Yeah... very sad. This libraritis-literatis-biblophilia-whatever virus is taking me offline again. Oh, the tragic consequences thereof. Speaking strangely, pretending to understand others who speak thus, having too long an attention span, I don't know... it's terrible... my head is filled with words that haunt my dreams... UnmitAIGated nonsense.

New Question: Anyone ever see something in a computer program that was so out there, it had to be a joke?
Funniest thing I'd seen was Google Maps. For a while there, if you tried to get driving instructions from anywhere in North America to London, England, it was direct you to drive to a point in NYC, then swim to France, then drive the rest of the way. And they allotted approximately 28 hours to swim the Atlantic (or maybe 24...somewhere in that range). sadly, now it says that it cannot calculate directions between those points. No fun...

There is a free app for iPhone that simulates a doorbell sound when you push the virtual bell. Not sure what the use is for, other than "office cubicle humor", which it states in the description. Power going on and off is awful for computers, unless you have a laptop with a decent battery. Also handy for thunderstorms, you can just unplug and wait it out... We've a storm coming in this pm, not sure of the strength, probably not a huge deal, usually it doesn't affect this area much anyway, we're sort of sheltered here. Just some rain and a few minor gusts, and then it's done.

Hasn't gone completely out yet, but it's blipped about a dozen times. Most of them take out my radio and one of my monitors has issues with recovering. Pain in the butt, wish the power would just go out and have done with it.
